A/N: 100-word drabble for Writing Challenge #13, "Elements."

Drowning

Before he knows it, he's in love. Head-over-heels with this prejudiced, arrogant, beautiful Slytherin, this girl he's hated on principal since he learned the word "Mudblood."

Andromeda is nothing like he thought she was, nothing like how she sees herself. It isn't her nature to hate – for all she tries, she feels too deeply to be as blindly prejudiced as she pretends. There is nothing in Andromeda that burns.

They're sixteen and too different and all the world's against them, but this feeling is too strong, too deep, to be a crush.

She is water, and he drowns in her.
