A/N: 100-word drabble for Writing Challenge #14, "Dreams."
In the darkness, Luna dreams in color. Rich, vivid shades that defy their everyday names. Luna dreams in indigo, amber, emerald, aquamarine.
They mark the walls with days, like prisoners in a child's storybook. It's been two months for Luna, nineteen for Mr. Ollivander. Their eyes have adjusted to the constant darkness and now it's gray, always gray.
To pass the time, they tell stories. One day, Mr. Ollivander describes the first phoenix he ever saw.
"I know it's red, but more than that…."
Luna pats his hand, thinks of her dreams.
"Scarlet? Burgundy? Crimson? Carmine?"
Mr. Ollivander smiles.
