A/N: My first story with proper dialogue. I realize that is a deleted scene for this scenario, but since it was deleted, here's my version. :)
Of Things Lost
She was trying to pull her hair into an elaborate bun when she heard the door open and footsteps tentatively enter the room. "Gwen, there you are." She turned around smiling, her hair falling into curls around her shoulders, before her expression turned into a bitter grimace. "Merlin." She said coldly, much hate infused into the small word.
"Morgana." He said shortly, simply.
"What are you doing here?" She stepped forward to intimidate him, her purple skirts ruffling around her legs. He refused to be intimidated. Her piercing eyes tried to find his. He refused to meet her gaze. She glared and shifted in impatience. Once again her skirts flowed around her. He stayed stiff and unmovable. She pursed her lips.
A sigh. Finally, he looked up and met her eyes, "I have something of yours."
"What did you take this time, Merlin?" She hissed and her lips pulled into a sardonic twist.
"Nothing." He pulled a bracelet out of his pocket. Morgana gasped and quickly snatched the bracelet from Merlin's hands. Her lips turned into something softer, almost a smile, before her mouth closed into a small thin line. She refused to feel grateful.
Holding it close to her body she asked, "Well, what do you want?"
"Nothing." Merlin stood by the door, watching her closely, a penetrating stare, his blue eyes intense.
She shook her head, "I find that hard to believe."
He gave cold stare in response to her own and turned to leave, "Believe what you want Morgana."
"This changes nothing." He stopped, his body tense. He partly turned back, a look in his eyes that she could not quite interpret.
"I know." He said softly.
When he didn't move she asked, her tone harsh, "Was there something else?"
"No."
"I didn't think so." She smirked, dismissively.
She watched his retreating back. She refused to feel moved. Smirking again, she turned away.
