1Hey there! So, first off, a little background info on this fic. (If you're not interested just skip the bold print, I swear it won't hurt my feelings.) I originally wrote this as a Beck/Tori fic but it became VERY Tori-centric…. The only reason I put that was in case anyone was wondering why Beck seems to play a bit of a bigger role than any of the other characters :) Second, this is my first VICTORIOUS fanfic and I don't think I got the characters exactly right so go easy on me! and review please! She rose to stardom after graduating from Hollywood Arts.
Movie after movie,
Album after album.
She was IT.
The icon every girl in the world wanted to be and every boy in the world wanted to be with.
VICTORIA VEGA WAS KNOWN EVERYWHERE.
but everything that rises must fall
She lost herself in the world of showbiz, of partying, of drinking, of selfishness, of pure stupidity (the trap she promised herself she'd never fall into).
She rarely talked to her old friends anymore but she did run into Beck on set once. Their meeting was short, no greeting, just:
"You're not the happy-go-lucky girl you used to be."
A sad smile and he was gone.
They never talked after that.
But one night, she found herself (for the first time in four years) not going to a premiere or party of some sort. She washed off all her makeup, all the glitter, everything that represented the FAKE person she had become.
And what do you know?
Tori Vega WAS still there.
She called up Cat and apologized for not showing up at her first movie premiere and she also called André and apologized for not coming to his wedding.
After that, she mended the ties with ALL her old friends – even Jade.
For the first time, in a long time, she was genuinely happy.
(No more of that fake Hollywood smile.)
Then, Beck returned her calls.
"BECK! Beck! Oh my gosh, I'm so happy you called!"
"There's the Tori I know and love."
Tori laughed that sparkling, GENUINE laugh that he had missed oh so much.
She was finally back.
But was it weird that even after high school she still got butterflies after talking to him?
Tori was still the IT girl but Victoria Vega was gone. No more drinking or excessively partying… she became GENUINE again with her real friends (no more snooty, Hollywood fakes) by her side.
