308Hunt For The Mystical Medals

Many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc is ongoing…and here you will see the aftermath of what happened following the previous chapters…and how this affects the side characters of Detective Conan…now that the unexpected has happen…which would puts out heroes in a pinch…

A passing police car saw the stampede, and the two cops gasped upon seeing what is happening, especially after seeing the two Pterodactyl Yummies, which the two cops believe that they are just amateur murderers cosplaying and using some hidden devices, and foolishly chose to confront them instead of calling for backup.
They aimed their guns at the two Yummies and ordered them to surrender, much to the two Yummies' amusements, seeing how foolish humans can be.
"Okay, you freaks!"
"Don't move!"
"Or we open fire!"
"We mean it!"
"Look at that…"
"So foolish…and this makes it easy."
"Shall we…?"
"Of course."
The two Pterodactyl Yummies then used their claws to slash the two cops on their throats, almost decapitating them yet they were killed on the spot, and this further terrified the pedestrians seeing that the two cops laid on the ground dead and in a pool of their own blood, further causing panic on the streets as they ran for their lives.
"EEEEEEKKKK!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"
"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"
"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"
"EEEEEEKKKK!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAHHHH!"
"WWWWWWAAAAAHHHH!"
"HHHHHHEEEEELLLPPPPP!"
Toudou and Gotoh arrived and are shocked at what they just witnessed, as well as seeing a dinosaur-based Yummy for the first time, and there Toudou asked if the items that Maki stole from the Kougami Foundation happened to be Core Medals, which Gotoh said that he is unsure, and there Toudou said that if the items that Maki stole are Core Medals then this would explain this, as the Yummies they encounter recently are those of Kazari, Uva, Mezeru and Gameru, along with the bird-type Yummies made by Conankh.
Gotoh stared in shock as he asked if Toudou is implying that a dinosaur-based Greed is awakened, which Toudou said that this is as close as he can guess, and if it is, it's likely that Maki is behind this.
"If those two Yummies are an indication…then…"
"This can't be…"
"And it looks like Kougami made a mistake in assigning Maki to safeguard them…and instead he stole and uses them for personal gain…"
"Had I known…I would…"
"Well, it's too late to regret it…for now we'll have to defeat them…"
"Couldn't agree more…"
"Then brace yourself."
"Right."
As the two Pterodactyl Yummies glanced at the two men, they are now poised to attack, prompting Toudou and Gotoh to brace themselves as this could be a fierce battle after seeing how they killed several civilians without restraint and how dangerous they are if they are not stopped.
"Gotoh…"
"Yeah…?"
"Get ready."
"Huh?"
"Those two look like they are going to attack…"
"Got it."
"And we should not hold back."
"Okay."
Kyuji and Ankh arrived, and both were surprised to see this, and there Gotoh told Kyuji what Toudou deduced, and tells him to go ALL-OUT as they cannot let either of the two Pterodactyl Yummies get away, which Kyuji nodded in agreement, seeing how dangerous the two Yummies look.
"Hino…be ready…those Yummies are different from the ones we faced…"
"Eh?"
"We can't afford to be lax. Go all out!"
"…"
"Be aggressive if needed…we can't let them get away!"
"I understand."
"Are you ready, Hino?"
"Yeah."
Sensing that the Pterodactyl Yummies can fly, Ankh reluctantly decided to try a tactical approach and gave Kyuji three Core Medals and told him to use speed to match the two Yummies while airborne, which Kyuji nodded in acknowledgement, recognizing the gravity of the situation at hand.
Kyuji then puts on the Medal Driver and slots in the three Core Medals before scanning them with the Medals Scanner to initiate his transformation.
Medal Scanner: "BISON…KUJAKU…TAKO…"
Transforming into Kamen Rider Os, he assukes a sub-combo and is now armed with a pair of bison horns, and there he summoned his Kujaku wings as he flew towards the two Pterodactyl Yummies, while Toudou and Gotoh puts on their Birth Drivers and slots in a Cell Medal, initiating their transformation into Kamen Rider Birth and Kamen Rider Proto-Birth, and join in with Os to take down the two Yummies.

Meanwhile, the scene shifts at the Kougami Foundation, where Kougami and Satonaka watched the events unfold via the monitor where it is shown that a Candroid is recording the scene, and there Satonaka appeared worried upon seeing the Pterodactyl Yummies for the first time, and asked Kougami if the items that Maki stole are Core Medals based on dinosaurs, which Kougami reluctantly nodded, revealing that he was able to deduce what the items consists after managing to gather data.
Satonaka then asked how this would affect the chain of events given that some of the purple Core Medals are inside Kyuji's body, which Kougami said that all they can do now is wait and see how the next events play out, though he said that this is a good time to see how dinosaur-based Yummies are made of and how strong they are.
"Are you serious, president?"
"Yes."
"But what if Toudou and Gotoh are having difficulty facing them? And even Hino…"
"I am confident that they will overcome any adversity."
"Really, president?"
"Yes, Satonaka."
"Sir…"
"…"
Satonaka then asked how would they account for the rest of the purple Core Medals that are in Maki's possession, and there Kougami said that if Maki intend to awaken the Dinosaur Greed, then this would make things interesting, yet Kougami expressed confidence that Kyuji would be the key to everything.
"Are you serious, president?"
"Yes."
"But what if the purple Core Medals inside Hino started to act? I doubt that even Hino…"
"I am confident that Hino will overcome any adversity. And I'm sure that something interesting is bound to happen."
"Really, president?"
"Yes, Satonaka."
"Sir…"
"…"

The scene shifts back at the scene of the battle, where Ran, Kogoro and Shiho were forced to watch as Os and Birth (who activated the Cutter Wing) went airborne to fight the two Pterodactyl Yummies, while Proto-Birth is at the ground, using the Birth-Buster to shoot one of the flying Yummies, providing support since the suit he is wearing is a prototype version and lacks some weapons that the standard Birth suits has.
Kogoro is considering in calling the SWAT team but Shiho advised him against it as it would cause chaos and that the Black Organization might take advantage, reasoning that Kyuji, Toudou and Gotoh would be the ones in dealing with the two Yummies.
"Please don't."
"But…"
"Let Kyuji and the others handle this. Even if you call the army, it'll only leave a lot of corpses on the streets."
"But still…"
"Believe me, Detective Mori…fighting Yummies and the Greed should be Hino's job."
"…damn…"
"…sorry…"
"…"
Meanwhile, Os is starting to gain the upper hand as he uses the flight capabilities of the Kujaku Medal and uses its speed while using the bison horns as a battering ram, causing the Pterodactyl Yummy to stagger before Os uses the Tako Medal to turn his legs into octopus tentacles and grabbed the Pterodactyl Yummy before hurling it to the ground.
As Os is about to charge in, the Pterodactyl Yummy unleash an energy blast, and to everyone's surprise, the attack CANCELLED Os form, reverting him to normal, and Proto-Birth was taken by surprise at what he saw and began shooting the Yummy, distracting it as Ankh approached Kyuji, who is equally surprised at what he just saw, and using the distraction, he gave Kyuji three Core Medals and urged him to use the Scanning Charge, reasoning that the two Yummies are stronger than the ones that Kazari and Uva made.
"Kyuji…use these…"
"Huh? They're..."
"It can't be helped…you saw what that Yummy did to you just now. If we are to defeat it…you need to make the first strike."
"…"
"Use the Scanning Charge…we're going to take a risk here."
"Okay. I understand."
"Then do it now."
"…"
Understanding the gist of the situation, Kyuji slots in the three Core Medals inside the Medal Driver before scanning them with the Medals Scanner to initiate his transformation.
Medal Scanner: "SAI…GORILLA …ZOU…SAGOZO…SAGOZO!"
Assuming the SaGoZo Combo, Kyuji is poised to grab the Medal Scanner to activate the Scanning Charge, but the Pterodactyl Yummy grabbed Proto-Birth and threw him towards Os knocking them down before using the energy blasts to cancel out their transformation, leaving Kyuji and Gotoh in their normal forms, and are open to a sudden attack.
Kogoro, Ran and Shiho became worried, with the latter urging Ankh to do something, which he told her to stop pushing him as he is checking the Medal Case to see which Core Medals Kyuji can use to combat the Pterodactyl Yummy seeing that the two sets of Core Medals Kyuji used were cancelled and can't be used until after some time.
"Ankh! Do something!"
"Will you stop shaking me?"
"Kyuji and Gotoh are in danger!"
"I know! Just let me think of something…!"
"Just hurry!"
"Will you shut up?"
"Ankh!"
"I said shut it!"
Seeing that Kyuji and Gotoh are in danger, Birth flew down and fired the Birth Buster and managed to make the Pterodactyl Yummy stagger back, allowing Kyuji and Gotoh to get up but were wobbling, and there Birth told Kyuji and Gotoh to use the chance to get away while he keeps the Yummy preoccupied.
"Hino! Gotoh!"
"Toudou!"
"Toudou!"
"Hurry! Get away!"
"But…"
"What about you?"
"Leave them to me! Just get away from here!"
"…"
"…"
However, the other Pterodactyl Yummy sneaked behind Birth and blasts him, causing Birth to crash to the ground, and there the other Pterodactyl Yummy blasts Birth with an energy blast which cancels out Birth's suit, thus Toudou was forcibly reverted back to normal, and the two Pterodactyl Yummies stood before them, noting that the three Kamen Riders put up quite a good fight.
"Not bad…"
"They are quite good…"
"Indeed."
"Too bad their lives will end…"
"As everything comes to an end…"
"Shall we slay them?"
"Of course."
"Then let's do it."
Seeing an abandoned pushcart, Kogoro uses it to push it towards the two Pterodactyl Yummies, which momentarily distracted them, as the two Yummies simply shove it aside, but the distraction gave the three men enough time to get away, and there Ankh gave Kyuji another set of three Core Medals and told him to maximize the time, which Kyuji nodded, as he removed the three Core Medals from the Medal Driver before slotting in three new ones before scanning them with the Medal Driver.
Medal Scanner: "KUWAGATA… KAMAKIRI …BATTA! GATA-GATA…GATA-KIRI-BA…GATA-KIRI-BA!"
Assuming GataKiriBa Combo, Os is getting ready, and he realized that he has one shot at this and can't afford to get hit by the two Yummies' blasts or he would be forcibly reverted back to normal, and there he uses the Batta Medal's ability to leap quite high, prompting the two Pterodactyl Yummies to give chase, slightly surprised to see that Os still has enough left to put up a fight.
"Not bad…"
"That one puts up quite a fight…"
"Indeed."
"Too bad he will meet his end…"
"Of course. For everything comes to an end…including his life…"
"Shall we slay him?"
"Of course."
"Then let's do it."

Hope you liked this chapter of the current story arc, as terror gripped in it's core as the two mysterious Yummies appeared gain the upper hand as they put our heroes in a pinch…and now Os is taking a risk in an effort to try getting an advantage to defeat at least one of the two Yummies…
