8A/N Just a little something I wrote after reading a few of the Countdown story...this is an alternate freezer ending…Josh who? Its unbettaed and written in about 25 minutes. Tell me if there are any mistakes…and sorry if someone else has written something like this already.

"Kate" Castle calls as he comes back to the land of the living.
"Where is she?" but before he can be answered, he falls back into a deep sleep because he was so cold.
Castle wakes again, this time, more awake. "Where is she?" he asks again.
"Where's my Kate." Alexis, who had been sitting next to her father's bed was up and standing next to him in a flash.
"She's okay dad. She's asleep in the next room." The teen replied, smiling at the fact that her dad had called her 'his Kate'.
"Go back to sleep daddy, you need it, I'll be here when you wake up."
Castle didn't have to be told twice, as his eyes were already drifting shut.
The third time he wakes, he is feeling a lot more human, he has no idea how long he has been out, nor does he really care. "Lex?" he asks voice full of sleep.
"She's asleep in my room." A voice he recognizes in an instant replies.
"Kate." He gasps as he opens his eyes and looks around the room. Sitting next to his bed, was HIS Kate.
"Your okay." He states.
Kate just smiles. "Yeah, I'm alright, still a little cold, but feeling a hell lot better." She says as she shivers and wraps the blanket tighter around her.
Without even thinking about it, Castle scoots over in his bed and pulls the blanket up, silently inviting her to join him under the covers to stay warm. Kate accepts in an instant.
Once both are snug over the covers, Castle wraps his arm around her waist and pulls her close, Kate happily snuggles against him, her arms going around him and holding tight as if she is going to loose him at any moment.
"I was so scared I was going to lose you." Kate voice came out muffled from her place against his chest.
"You're never going to lose me. I will always be around. Always baby, always." He said as he pulled her closer to him.
It was how the pair was found 2 hours later when the team came in to visit them. All they could see was Rick's head sticking out of the covers, rested against Kate's, and Kate's left hand clutching his top, her engagement ring glistening in the light.
A/N. So…what did you think? This is my first Castle…and first one shot really….I mostly write poems and songs and the only other think I have posted was a story about 12 people wrote. Good? Bad? I'll take anything. Please review. They make me happy when I am sad.
