Terminator created by James Cameron and Gale Ann Hurd. "Sarah Connor Chronicles" Developed for TV by Josh Friedman
This story is set somewhere between "Self-Made Man" and "Earthlings Welcome Here"
"You have a lead on the dots?" asked Sarah.
"There is a match to a symbol used by Native American tribe that was wiped out by disease before Western colonizers could encounter them," responed Cameron sitting at the computer. "For years it was thought the diseases were carried by the Spanish colonizers, due to their notorious poor hygeine habits. But it turns out it was not the Conquistadors themselves, but their food. The conquistadors had brought pigs with them, a form of livestock, notably not fussy about its diet. The pigs were carriers of numerous diseases that westerners were used to but Native American immune systems and they died en masse without coming into contact with a single Western Human. The most effective use of Germ Warfare ever and it was a complete accident."
"Lovely, I imagine Skynet draws inspiration from historical factoids like this.
"We don't have livestock," Cameron continued. "It's been theorized that the symbol represents Native American tribal belief in SkinWalkers, shapeshifting predators that can take the form of a man."
"As ominous as that sounds. I think it's a little early in history for a T-1000 to be popping up."
"Not necesarily. But that particular translation is highly disputed. Other experts belive it could be a reference to the Trickster God Coyote."
"Just out of curiousity what is the consensus view."
"The most literal translation."
Sarah Connor stared silently then she blinked.
Cameron continued, "There is a Bad Wolf Bay in -"
"No, I don't think this has anything to with us," Sarah interrupted. "I'm going for a walk to clear my head. Try to find other matches for the dots."
"Take an umbrella," advised Cameron. "A storm is coming."
If you don't get the reference, don't worry about it. The irony is I wrote it before I saw the opening of "Some Must Watch ..." I think in a first season episode. This story marks my return to posting Fanfic stories after a long absence. In an totally unrelated vein, I hope to be posting some Dr. WHo fanfic shortly.
