~Drabble Fifty-Five: Brave Part 2~
As they began the slow trek home, Arthur mused on why it was so easy for him to call Merlin a coward. After all, the servant was only injured because he had intercepted an arrow meant for Arthur himself, brazenly shoving the prince out of the way seconds before the arrow would have struck his chest.
Maybe, someday, Arthur could be honest with Merlin, but, then again … did he really want to risk the servant getting a big head?
Imagine how cocky Merlin would become if he discovered that Arthur considered him the bravest man he had ever met.
A/N: Thanks so much to everyone who reviewed the last drabble! I haven't had a chance to personally respond to any reviews because I've been so busy writing. If anyone reading this is following The Power of Three, know that I have been pumping it out like crazy, and just finished the 11,000 word next part (or parts; I might break it up). So there is more coming from me soon on that end, and I will continue writing drabbles in my down time from that story as well.
Please let me know what you thought about this sappy little follow-up. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
