To Be Forgotten
By Jessica Wilkes
Red roses falling,
Drifting in a pool of your blood.
Your heart is braking
But the tears have already dried.
The pain is burning away your memories,
You try to hold on to the good times
But they're falling to fast.
Smiles to frowns.
Happiness to anger.
Good times to bad times.
Time at all.
Love is beautiful.
Though also harsh.
Poison is sweet but also deadly.
It was writing in the books,
A love like yours just wouldn't last.
But you didn't care
You tried anyway.
And while it worked it was wonderful
But then it was lost.
To be forgotten.
But you won't let go,
And neither will I.
