I wrote this a while ago, but I just came across it today. I think originally this was supposed to be part of a much bigger story, but I never got round to writing it, however I think it works on its own as a little one-shot.

Setting: Shortly after the fight against the New Borns in Eclipse-Seth and Bella talking in her truck.

Disclaimer: I don't own any thing.

Hope you enjoy :)

"I'm sorry about stealing your glory by the way. I didn't realise you were feinting, I just wanted to help," I told Seth as we sat in my truck.

"Ah, don't worry about it," he replied, brushing it off. "I got most of him," he grinned.

I frowned, though slightly amused. They were all the same…

"Interesting distraction tactic though," he commented after a while. "You really took that third wife legend very seriously."

"Erm, yes…" I mumbled, looking down at my bandaged hand.

"I can help you with that," Seth suddenly said excitedly; and before I had time to work out what he meant, he had picked up a stone that had some how made its way in to my truck, and gouged it into his hand.

"What the hell did you do that for?" I asked, staring incredulously at the blood pooling in his palm. The smell of it hit me, and a wave of nausea washed over me.

"Give me your hand," Seth instructed, holding out his un-bleeding one to take mine.

"What? Why?" I asked, confused and slightly revolted.

"My blood will help with the healing," he told me, still waiting expectantly for me to give him my hand. "Don't worry, its clean. I'm not diseased or anything," he assured me with a wolfish grin.

I swallowed uncertainly. "How do you know it will work?" I asked.

"Well, I don't really," he admitted, "but it's worth a try, right?"

Hesitantly I stretched out my hand for him to take. This was absurd, and yet I couldn't help but feeling curious.

In a swift movement, Seth tore off the bandages Carlisle had carefully put on for me, and pressed his palm against mine.

I could feel the hot blood transfer onto my hand, and my skin began to tingle.

"There," Seth said happily letting go of my hand. He licked his thumb and washed the rest of the blood off his hand—there was no sign he had ever cut himself.

I looked at my own hand curiously; the smear of blood was almost dried on now.

"Well go ahead. Wash it off and see," he encouraged.

I mimicked what he had done, licking my thumb and brushing it over where the cut should be. I expected to feel the sting of salt in the open wound, but I felt nothing. I licked my thumb again and repeated, washing away more of Seth's blood.

I stared dumbfounded at my completely healed hand.

"That's amazing," I whispered.

"Awesome!" Seth called happily. "Wait till Sam finds out, this is incredible."

"It is," I agreed stunned.

"I should probably go Bella," Seth suddenly said. "Say hello to Edward for me, yeah?" he asked.

"Sure," I replied still staring at my hand.

"Cool, see you," he beamed, and hopped out of the truck and into the forest.

I know there isn't really much point to it, but I just liked this little moment between them.

R&R if you want, and let me know what you think :)
