Isa looked into the eyes of her attacker from the grass she lay sprawled on. She was pinned by a knee in her chest, a man looming over her.

"Ah, my dear, you must have known this would happen! After all your meddling in the politics of Cyrodiil, you surely could not have expected to live much longer?" The assassin's red eyes glistened with the reflection of the moon as he pressed a cold steel dagger against Isa's throat.

She tried desperately to reach for her arrows, but the assassin pushed his knee deeper into her chest, crushing the quiver against her back. A cruel smile curled onto his face, and he laughed as she struggled to breathe.

"Oh, angel, do not worry, I will not suffocate you. In fact, I will not even kill you, in the true sense of the word. The man who has hired me has…an unusual request as to your fate."

"Wh-wha-?" Isa managed to croak out.

"Well, you are to be made a lesson of. I hate to be the one to inform you, but you will be experiencing suffering beyond any suffering you may have experienced up to this point. Your body will fight death, and eventually for death, but neither I nor the gods will grant it to you." At this the assassin opened his mouth, revealing oddly sharp teeth, like those of a cat. A thirst came to his eyes as he lunged for Isa's neck, biting down hard.

She screamed and pushed against him, but he had turned heavier than a shale. He drank in the warm blood that flowed from her neck, swallowing the red drink gratefully. Isa felt herself weakening, her arms were growing limp, and her shrill scream was reduced to silence, her mouth still open in a silent cry of agony.

But just before the last drop had been drained from her, the assassin pulled away, licking his lips. Isa felt herself flutter in and out of consciousness. Then, everything exploded. She could feel his venom flowing through her veins, blackening them, racing toward her heart. Her body screamed and fought against the poison, desperately trying to push it away from that vital organ. As the burning came closer and closer to her heart, she felt cold arms wrap around her convulsing and dying body, lifting her into the arms of the assassin.

The assassin carried her through the swamp to a nearby cave, hiding her away from the rising sun, which would burn her skin away.

"I wish you the best, my dear," and at that the assassin left the cave, leaving Isa to writhe on the floor, slowing being burned away.
