Eclipse was not in a very good mood. In fact, he was highly annoyed. Why the hell was master Raenef up at this hour? And searching for snacks to eat? Muttering a few choice expletives under his breath, he set about cleaning the floor. When he finished, he washed his hands and made something to eat for Raenef.

Raenef, who had already taken a seat at the kitchen table, whooped with joy and dived into his late night snack, as if it would be taken from him any second. Eclipse was not surprised by his master's table manners (or lack thereof). After all, before he became a demon lord, the boy had been a thief.

Eclipse sighed and took a seat across from the boy. "Master Raenef, why were you wandering about the castle at this hour of the night?"

Raenef shrugged. "Couldn't sleep," he replied with a mouthful of food. Swallowing, he elaborated, "I had a weird dream."

Eclipse frowned. "A dream?"

Raenef nodded. "Yep. I don't remember much, though, only a few words that were spoken, and that the air felt very creepy." He shrugged and tried to dismiss it. "Well, it's just a dream, so…"

"Dreams are never just dreams, my lord," Eclipse cautioned. "Even the most silly dreams are linked to this realm. Remember that time, when lord Krayon send you off into a dream to test you? If you had died in that dream, you would also be gone from this realm."

"Hmmm… I suppose that's true."

Eclipse noticed the small wrinkle forming between Raenef's eyebrows as the young demon lord considered his words, and suppressed a smile he felt forming on his lips. His master looked so cute when he was in thought.

Instead, he said, "Would you like to share this dream with me?"

"Sure." Raenef shrugged. This wasn't a very important dream anyway, not one of those which had Eclipse in it. "But it's not much. Like I said, I can only remember a few spoken words." Right. Not important.

Raenef tapped his chin as he recalled the dream. "Someone, I think a young man…" Raenef hesitated, "Well, it sounded like a young man… in any case, he said that he couldn't wait any longer and that he was going to find someone else. Another guy, I think, because he said 'him'. Waited almost a year or so. He also said to the person he was talking to that he or she should come along with him."

Finishing his narration of the dream, Raenef turned his attention on his mentor, only to find Eclipse giving him a rather pensive look. "What is it?" he asked, cocking his head slightly.

"It seems to me…" Eclipse began slowly. He pointedly ignored the cute tilt of Raenef's head, "that you were experiencing astral projection. However," Eclipse frowned again, "I'm not very certain of this. Did you remember the faces of the people or the voices? Were they familiar to you?"

Raenef shook his head. "Uhm… no, I don't think so. Is this bad?"

"Hmmm… I don't know…" Eclipse hesitated. "I'm not sure of anything right now. But you said the sphere was ominous, so that could spell trouble." Eclipse sighed. "Maybe I should enlist the help of Meruhesae."

"Meruhasae... Isn't she the demon ma'am whose dream I was entrapped in when mister Krayon was testing me?" Raenef asked.

"Yes. She's a seer. She helped me before in the past."

"… Seer?"

Eclipse blinked. Why was Raenef being hesitant? "Is something the matter?" he asked.

"Uh… no." Raenef shook his head. "I was just thinking, since this all happened in a dream, wouldn't it be smarter to go ask mister Krayon for help? He is the demon lord of the dream realm, after all."

Astonished, Eclispe looked at Raenef.

Raenef gave him a nervous glance. "Uhm… Eclipse?"

Snapping out of his trance, Eclipse blinked a few times. "Oh, yes, of course! Why didn't I think of that?" Silently Eclipse cursed himself for being caught off guard. Raenef still often managed to surprise Eclipse with his newfound intelligence. Eclipse had started to take notice of the change when Raenef had returned to the castle after his amnesia episode had ended. Well, Eclipse supposed that the amnesia must have done some good to his master.

Eclipse stood up and bowed to Raenef. "Please allow me to take care of this, master Raenef."

Raenef nodded. "Be back soon?" he said and gave Eclipse a small smile.

Eclipse quickly averted his eyes, ignoring the tingling feeling he got upon seeing that sweet smile on his master's lips. "Certainly, my lord… Go!" And Eclipse vanished.
