... Hello...

Yeah, I know its been a while and this isn't even a real chapter. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I lost all inspiration to write for the past few years. The pandemic didn't help at all even though all I had was time. So I did the reasonable thing. I forced myself to write.

The Chapter is about 30% finished but I wanted to let you guys at least know that I'm still alive and that I do intend to finish this... one day.

I will delete this post when I update the real chapter, hopefully in the next couple weeks or so

CHAPTER 15

A blast of ice penetrated the air of the abandoned amusement park as a cloaked figure and two Opasts emerged into Ashley's domain. The three could hear the explosions clueing them into what was going on. The two Opasts grinned at each other while the cloaked figure remained silent.

"Lord Reiga!" at the sound of Ciel's approaching, the figure turned to face Ciel with a blank expression. Running up to him, Ciel paused at the pair of Opast twins, Jekyll and Hyde grinning from ear to ear while they held their weapons up in the air. Turning her attention back to Reiga, Ciel noticed him glancing around as he sensed the movement of the Bearer of God's Light as well as two others.

"Lord Reiga, what do you want us to do? Can we join in on the fun?" one of the twins questioned, while the other's eyes gleamed in excitement. Reiga paused for a second, his eyes shifting from the twins to Ciel before he turned and started to walk.

"Not yet, you two assist Ashley," and one of the twins let out a small disappointed sigh before he glanced back up at Reiga and Ciel

"See ya Ciel!" the twins yelled as they ran towards their destination. Ciel watched their disappearing figures when Reiga's voice cut her thoughts off. Turning back, blue locked with silver as the dark-haired man had stopped walking and had turned back to face Ciel. The Opast bowed her head in submission as she awaited her order.

"Ciel, you're with me. Its time I paid my dear Yuki a visit."

Entering the dark library of the main Giou Compound, Giou Takashiro snapped his fingers illuminating a single book floating in the air. Staring at the old writing on the book before him. Takashiro's eyes turned serious while he took the book into his hand.

"It looks like I'll be needing this," he whispered a grim expression taking over his face.

…..

Using Luka's distraction, Yuki and Hotsuma ran towards the castle. While running, Yuki glanced back to where they were separated from the Opast with a worried expression on his face.

"Luka," when one of Ashley's familiars appeared him with a manic grin on its sewn together face.

"Die Bearer of God's light" it yelled and another group of grotesque stuffed animals followed, their voices cackling at the sight of Yuki.

Hotsuma gritted his teeth before he swung his curved blade with both hands.

"Get the fuck out of the way!" He yelled out, sending a wave of fire towards, destroying a few of the familiars before him. Once the smoke cleared, Hotsuma clicked his tongue as he realized that there were many more of the familiars grinning at him and Yuki. Grabbing Yuki, Hotsuma sharply turned the corner and ran,

"This way! Come on!"

While running, Yuki gasped at the sight of a very familiar figure laying on the ground.

"Kanata-San?"

Watching from the corner, Ciel remained silent as Reiga posed as Wakamiya Kanata. Her gaze remained on the Bearer of God's Voice and the weapon in his hand as her own grip on her mirror tightened. She could see the Bearer of God's Light being persuaded by Reiga's silky words when they heard a loud explosion coming from afar.

"Kanata-San, please hide here," Yuki stated as he removed himself from Kanata's embrace to the dark-haired man's confusion.

"Yuki?" Kanata questioned when a large hand reached out towards to grab him from above.

"Watch out!" Yuki yelled as he tackled Kanata to the ground and managed to maneuver out of the way of the large familiar.

At the sudden appearance of a large Doll, Ciel let out a small curse. Of course, Ashley's familiars would be stupid enough to not tell who was an ally or foe. Before she could destroy the familiars, the Bearer of God's Voice jumped up while he yelled out a curse/blessing towards the familiar, encasing it in flames, ultimately destroying it. Ciel gritted her teeth at the heatwave before she hid from sight again.

From her corner, Ciel watched in silence as she saw the resolve form in God's light as he smiled at Kanata/Reiga and removed his arm from the older man's grasp.

"I'm sorry Kanata-san I need to go. I have to help someone," Ciel could hear Kanata's plea fall to deaf ears as both God's light and God's voice ran towards the castle. Once both the Bearer of God's Light and God's Voice were out of sight, Ciel approached Reiga who had remained kneeling on the ground.

"Reiga-sama," she started when he slowly stood the air turning frigid around them as ice started forming on the ground beneath them. Ciel remained silent as the man formerly known as Wakamiya Kanta disappeared forever.

"I always thought of you as my brother, but if that is your answer," he whispered, his voice hardening with each word. When he looked up, Ciel winced at the cold, hardened look in the man's silver eyes.

"Then so be it."

….

"Mizuki," Yuki whisper broke the tense silence in the room. Ciel's expression remained neutral as she let the mask fall from her hand and let it shatter.

"God's light, your sister, Mizuki, the Bearer of God's Heart, hated you." and with that Yuki broke.

...okay the last part is gonna be in the chapter and I plan to make it the most brutal/emotional bit I can.

I'm actually really excited to get to that last part but I'm stuck writing the battle prior which is killing me.

Anywhoo as I said before, this is sneak peek/draft and is subject to change and I plan to update the chapter in the near future
