Alright this came to me in my free period this afternoon and I'm posting it before I go watch my dad's band practice. I was thinking about Patronus's and though of this, because Hermione has the otter and Cedric was a Hufflepuff whose symbol is the badger (Go badgers!) and I figured I'll tweak it a bit. In Cho's POV.
Disclaimer: Listening to- Taylor Swift's Speak Now album Drinking-Coffee Owning- Sure as hell not Harry Potter.
I told Harry it was because I was wondering if Cedric knew the stuff we were learning. I knew he did. That's not why I was upset.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still mourning the death of my Cedric. But half of me is mourning how I discovered he was never meant to be my Cedric. He was meant to be Hermione Granger's Cedric.
You might be wondering how I know this. No, it's not that they had an affair. In fact, they never had a relationship. But they would've eventually.
So now you probably think I'm crazy. Maybe only a little, but I know for a fact they were soul mates.
**Flashback to Cedric talking about Patronus's**
"We learned how to make a Patronus in class today," Golden Boy, Cedric Diggory said to his girlfriend as his patronus floated around him and the younger girl. "Moody said when two patronus match the people are soul mates, so next year when you learn," Both had a twinkle in their eyes as he said this, "we'll see if we are truly meant for each other"
*End Flashback*
Today proved that when a swan erupted from my wand. Again, don't get me wrong, swans are beautiful creatures, but it wasn't the creature Cedric had.
Nope, Hermione Granger's was an adorable little otter. Just. Like. His.
That's when my world crashed down… again. Now I don't know who's worse.
…
You-Know-Who or that insufferable little Know-It-All.
