Lest We Forget
In memorial of all the first responders and all those who had their lives cut short by the 9/11 terrorist attack.
I remember the pain like it was yesterday.
I remember the utter terror my citizens were in, and the utter grief and anguish.
I remember hear their screams and wails in my head, their prayers and pleads for help, justice and for God to have mercy on them. But this was not God's will; this was the will of some mad man who bored a hatred against us, against me.
Wounds like these would fade over time, but the memories of all those who had they lives cut short, and all those who went up those stairs knowing that it would be life or death, those memories, they can never be erased, or forgot. No, those memories will always be here with us, in our hearts.
May God bless America.
AN: Okay, even though I'm not American, I just felt a need to honour our brothers down south. Though I was only three years at the time, the stories that my family and teachers told me and the news casts were more than enough to help me see how horrific this event was.
