Harry Potter was a highly unusual boy. Most of this was due to the fact that he was a wizard in his fifth year at Hogwarts, but what was most unusual about him at the moment was that he was currently at his escaped convict Godfather's house because his best friend's father had just been bitten by a large snake that just so happened to belong to the Dark Lord Voldemort.

As he made his way down to the kitchen, his eye caught an open door. Burning with curiosity, he crept across the hallway and slipped into the dark room.

"Sirius!" he called, "What are you doing here?". The man in question who was admiring a large tapestry that adorned the far wall spun around. His waxen face lit up in joy to see his godson.

"Ah, Harry. Come here, I want to show you something." Harry beckoned and stood next to Sirius, who had turned back to stare at the tapestry.

"What's that?"Harry asked. Sirius chuckled.

"This Harry is the Black Family tapestry." He gazed at the wall in sadness. "I've not seen this thing in over 15 years. Couldn't pull up the courage to look at it." Harry turned to Sirius in confusion.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"It reminds me of the past I want to forget," Sirius said wistfully, "The memories I wish I never had."

"It reminds you of your family?"

"Oh, definitely," Sirius said, turning to Harry, "After all, it is the Black's family tapestry. It shows every Black ever born you know. Even your grandmother: Dorea Potter nee Black." Harry blanched.

"Didn't you know this?" Sirius asked when he saw the look on Harry's face. Harry just shook his head dumbly, "Come here, I'll show you." Sirius stalked up to the tapestry and started searching. After a few minutes Harry heard "Aha!" and quickly scurried towards his Godfather. Sirius stood there proudly.

"There she is!" he exclaimed, pointing to a worn out name. Harry squinted and sure enough, could make out the words Dorea Black. Harry smiled.

"This is brilliant," he whispered. He could faintly see another line attached to hers which lead to the name Charlus Potter. Both names were also connected to another name: James Potter.

"Sirius! Look, it's my-"he stopped at the expression on Sirius' face. His face had gone bone white and his eyes were comically round in shock. He was looking at a point on the tapestry just underneath his father's name. Turning quickly to see what had made his Godfather into such a state of shock, he searched the tapestry. Seeing a line connected to his father's name, he followed it. His mouth turned dry and his palms started sweating as he took in the name next to his father's. It was not his mother's name. It was not Lily Potter. It was not even Lily Evans.

Next to his father's name was Bellatrix Black.

No.

It couldn't be.

But it was.

Stunned out of his disbelief he started searching for his name, but he never found it.

Instead, underneath his father's and Bellatrix's name was a name much different to his.

It wasn't even a boy's name.

Vulpecula Potter.
