Gray skies…Gray clouds…Gray walls of the Gray apartment…Gray everything…
Then again her name was Valerie Gray…but did that really mean her life was doomed to be just…Gray? Once upon a time her life was full of colors.
Gold for her jewelry-all types, earrings, bangles, charm bracelets, necklaces, anklets, even the ring her mom left her…
Red for their large red brick house, so many rooms to have parties in…
Green for money...they had so much of it once upon a time…
Silver for her Dad's credit card, it came in handy when a sale came up or when Humpty Dumpty came to town…
…Where did they go?
Gone… her father's job and their money…all gone… all their things… gone… and what was left was just this small Gray apartment…
She didn't care about the money after a while, she got used to the budget, and having a job looked good on a college application. It also helped her see the true colors of Paulina, Dash and co [she refused to thank the Ghost Boy for that!]. Only Star stayed and true and for that, she was a true friend. Hell, even Danny didn't care about her plummeting status. In fact, he was probably happier being around her AFTER she was popular then when she was. He was a good guy…a great guy actually… really great…
In fact, her life now had lots of colors now…
Red for her Huntress suit, while the Ghost Boy claims to be good-he's still a ghost, and ghosts are a danger to everyone.
Gold for the hair of her best friend, she stayed true and that meant something special.
Green, for the eyes of the ghosts terrorizing her town…one ghost in particular.
Silver for the silver lining in every gray cloud…
And..
Blue…
Blue for the eyes of the guy that got away…
There's usually a rainbow after the rain, it pushes away gray skies for something breathe taking… all that it needs is time… time for the colors to come together...
