Prompt #22 – Pic of little girl letting butterfly go - Drabble
"Quiet, baby. Don't wake Mommy."
"But I want Mommy to come." I could imagine her pout.
"I know, baby, but let's surprise her with one."
"Okay, Daddy." Once the door shuts, I lean up on my elbows to spy on them.
Edward has Sophie on his shoulders as he lopes towards our meadow.
The day Edward proposed, he not only got me a ring but our meadow that now embraces our family home.
I watch as Edward and Sophie chase orange butterflies. I rub my belly-saying hello to my little man. Once he is born, our family will be complete.
