Hello all, its five in the morning on a sunday and I'm tired. But i wrote this after listening to A perfect circle. I heard this song and I was like; MUST WRITE NAOW! lol. Read, Review AND LISTEN TO THE SONG.

England felt the hostile glares boring holes into America's Jacket clad back as he tried to explain his plans for fixing global warming. He knew others felt it too. Germany's eyes were closed, Sweden looked worried, Russia was doing his own version of glaring, but not at America. England sipped his tea and looked up at the ceiling. Japan was shifting uncomfortably, the hostility causing him to sigh. Korea was nervously bouncing his legs, and tapping his fingers on the table in front of him. Lithuania looked at America sadly. Canada just wished that his brother would leave others to their own devices, that he didn't feel the need to be everyone's hero. That he felt enough guilt to cause him to do so.

The meeting had ended, and England was smoking a pipe on the balcony, blowing small puffs of smoke into the evening air. Millions of twinkling stars were overhead. The moon was nowhere in sight. He let his hand drop to his side. He looked up an began to sing.

"And so once again
My dear Alfred, my dear friend
And so once again you are fighting us all
And when I ask you why
You raise your sticks and cry, and I fall
Oh, my love
How did you come
To trade the fiddle for the drum?

You say I have turned
Like the enemies you've earned
But I can remember
All the good things you are
And so I ask you please
Can I help you find the peace and the stars?
Oh, my friend
What time is this
To trade the handshake for the fist?"

He ended. Some one else started. In a harmonizing part with to two other voices, all male. England recognized Russia, Japan and Korea. He continued with a sad smile

"And so once again
Oh, America my love
And so once again
You are fighting us all.
And when we ask you why
You raise your sticks and cry and we fall
Oh, my love
How did you come
To trade the fiddle for the drum"

More voices joined in. England turned to look behind him, no one was there, then he realized there were other balconies, and that everyone was singing from them. Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Sweden. Denmark, Norway, Finland. All of them.

"You say we have turned
Like the enemies you've earned
But we can remember
All the good things you are
And so we ask you please
Can we help you find the peace and the star
Oh my friend
We have all come
To fear the beating of your drum..."

Their choir faded into the night, no one but god, the divines, Nyx herself heard their questions. England took out his flare gun and shot it to the sky. A falling star. Fitting. He thought. The others joined. Fifty lights. For their friend, lover, destroyer, savior; America.
