Shopping Trolley

Families all have their own traditions and rituals, but they also have their own taboos. Sine are religious, others societal norms, but most develop our response to situations or interpersonal relationships. Carole was not thinking about this when she put a packet tampons in the shopping trolley doing the weekly shop.

Finn could be magnificently blind to things he did not was to see and over the years, Carole had worried less about things her son might see.

However, she had momentarily forgotten her companion was not her son, but her more observant stepson. Kurt's mother had died when he was too young to be aware of certain things, and maybe this was too much too soon.

Carole tried not to laugh at the way he screwed up his face as he saw her addition to the groceries. She had been careful things like her underwear were kept out of sight, but this was more difficult. Should she change her shopping habits or try and ensure Kurt was not with her when she bought these? As she hesitates, he grimaced slightly and said,

"I know Finn probably doesn't notice. Just ignore me."

"I'm sorry, Kurt, I didn't think. All Finn is concerned with when we come shopping is sneaking in as much unhealthy food as he can. Any non-food items just pass him by. I bought a pregnancy test for a friend once and he never even batted an eye. Sometimes I forget that you're more aware of the world."

"Well, if I'd left it to Dad, we would have been eating the worst things you can imagine. And he has no idea about cleaning products. So I've been watching what he put in the trolley." Kurt put a hand to his face and struck a pose, "My delicate pores cannot stand all the junk he likes!" Carole laughed and couldn't resist hugging him,

She gestured to the trolley,

"Well, be thankful that's one product you won't need. I'm not sure the rest of us would survive Kurt with PMT!"
