AN: A friend on dA requested Kory bromance. One way or another, this happened...
"C'mon, Rory," Kurt said, helping me pick myself up off of the gym floor. "Let's get you to the nurse."
I managed to stand on my own two feet and followed him out, still holding my nose. "That game isn't very fun," I said quietly, my accent warping through the blood.
He looked back at me and nodded. "It's just used as a humiliation tactic. It's like a modern day stoning." He looked almost disgusted.
I nodded slightly, thinking about it. It sure hurt like a stoning, even if they were just rubber balls. Those girls were brutal. Especially Santana.
"Why is she so mean?" I asked as we reached the office, rubbing my arm with my free hand, suddenly wishing I had my jacket.
"Huh, she's not here," Kurt said to himself, looking around. He turned to me. "You mean Satan? I mean Santana?"
I smiled a bit, not sure if he meant to do that or not.
"Here, why don't you sit down?" He gestured to a chair. I did and he sat down next to me.
"As ridiculous as it sounds, it's lack of confidence," he explained. "She tears other people down because she's doing it to herself."
I wrinkled my brow, confused. "What do you mean? What does she have to be ashamed of?"
He shook his head. "I don't believe in…" he hesitated a moment, "giving out other people's secrets."
"Oh," I said, thinking about it. "That makes sense." He handed me a tissue. I graciously accepted it and wiped at the blood. "You're very nice, Kurt."
He smiled at me, but didn't get to say anything before Blaine ran in.
"Are you okay?" the dark-haired boy asked, panting slightly as he skidded to a stop next to me.
I nodded, noticing that I'd stopped bleeding. I dabbed at the skin one more time before getting up and tossing the soaked-through tissue in the wastebasket.
"Thank you," I said sincerely, looking at both of them. "For making sure I was okay, I mean. Even though the rest of the school's mean to me, you two are still nice."
Kurt smiled at me. "Well, we know what it's like."
Blaine nodded. "And you're a nice guy, too, Rory." He got up, walked over, and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "If you ever need anything, just ask, okay?"
Kurt nodded, getting up and walking over. "Want a ride home?
I nodded. Brittany probably already left and if she didn't, she was with Santana. "That'd be great."
"Alright, c'mon," he said, leading me out. Blaine was right behind me.
Would it be safe to think of them as my friends? I wondered as we walked outside. I'd been a bit hesitant about that since Brittany had gone to the Troubletones. Even Finn Hudson, the closest person I could think of, had seemed awkward around me.
"Race you, Rory!" Blaine exclaimed, taking off in a run and snapping me out of it. I grinned and tried to match his speed, making Kurt yell at us as he tried to keep up.
Yeah, I guess it would.
AN: Yeah, I kept making Rory sound like Damian, and ten I was just like "Wait! Rory can't use big words like this!" ^^;
