Hey everyone it's Gold Testament, and I know what you're thinking. "Finally an update after so long!" Honestly I'd been working on this for months, but inspiration was slow, I've been trying to focus on College too. By the way just remember, I have no intention of abandoning or discontinuing my stories. I do tend to do a long hiatus when inspiration and ideas are low, but that's it. For those of you that want to try continuing my stories on another site. Don't bother. I prefer trying to complete my stories on my own, though I favor ideas from my readers. I don't know about everyone, but there are some people that actually think a story is abandoned in only a few months. That's just too soon to consider such a thing. Now two and a half to three years would be a considerable amount of time to think something like that unless the author of the fic says otherwise. However, I digress. Fair warning I intend to make this the second to last chapter for Soldiers of the Skies. I plan for the next chapter to mark the end of this story, and mark my fifth completed fic. If any of you have any ideas to make it grander than what I think of, I look forward to hearing your ideas.
Time for the disclaimer…
I don't own Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Kane Chronicles, The Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, OR The Trials of Apollo. They belong to the brilliant mind of Rick Riordan.

The final battle
As soon as they came, the ten days of training had gone by quickly. The day had finally come for the last battle of the War with Tartarus and Gaea.
Within the Throne Room of Olympus Zeus and Kronos were standing side by side.
"So which Olympus do you think Gaea and the Giants will attack first?" Zeus asked.
"To be honest she felt if she was losing she had planned to attack the current Olympus. Though I know that your grandmother is also still furious about my loss to Percy that she will attempt an all-out assault with herself and the giants." Kronos replied.
"Really, and what of Tartarus?" Zeus asked.
"He will remain in his own pit, as he must always remain awake to properly maintain his own domain otherwise every fallen soul, every monster, every Titan and Giant sent there, and also the gods and primordial there will be free to escape without their eternal warden there." The Titan King answered.
"Too bad we can't count on a duel between Percy and Porphyrion to decrease Gaea's numbers even further since they are even less honorable than the other Titans." Poseidon said as he walked to them.
"Poseidon how ready are the others?" Zeus asked.
"Hades is standing by for Alcyoneus with Will Solace, Jason Grace, and a few Hunters to take on any shades he summons, Travis and Connor Stoll are with Dionysus for Otis and Ephialtes, Piper is with Aphrodite for Periboia, Percy is with Hermes for Hippolytus, the entire Ares cabin is poised to help Athena with Enceladus, Apollo and Artemis have Zoe and Thalia with the rest of the Hunters for Orion, Mimas will have Hephaestus along with Triton plus Leo Valdez, Ares and Annabeth will aid Hecate with Clitius, but we do not have anyone to aid the rest of our children with Thoon." Poseidon replied.
"Actually you do!" Replied three voices before the fates appeared before the Titan and his sons.
"My Ladies it does my heart glad that you have arrived, does this mean that you wish to battle your bane alongside the demigods once more?" Kronos asked as he, Zeus, and Poseidon kneeled before them.
"Yes Kronos that's exactly what it means. After all many of you Olympians are taking on your own banes, and as the caretakers of Fate we must face our usurper." They replied as one.
"Thank you, for this we owe a debt we can never repay as without your aid against Thoon, the Giants will have a chance to alter their fate." Kronos replied.
"No thanks needed Kronos, he is our bane, and thus is our problem to face." The Fates began. "We just pray this is the last we'll need to face him." They finished.
With that statement finished the ground shook as a massive explosion took place near Olympus. The fates, the gods, and the titan there ran to the edge to see all the Giants at once.
"Well father, here's where we pray your plan works and with as few casualties as possible." Zeus said clenching his master bolt.
{With Percy, the rest of the gods and the demigods}
Percy Jackson stood with his three girlfriends after barely surviving the Hunt's wrath when they learned he was in a relationship with two of their own. As he stood across from the mass assembly of Greek and Roman demigods, the Hunters of Artemis, and the Gods of Olympus he could see the doubt in many of them.
"GODS, DEMIGODS, HUNTERS LISTEN UP!" Percy shouted getting everyone's attention.
"I know that many of you are afraid of this fight because of how much it takes to kill a single giant, even though Kronos provided a plan of attack." He stated receiving many nods. "However, many have agreed with Kronos' plan for it covers many weaknesses of even the gods themselves when fighting their banes, so long as we stick to this we will destroy them, we will have Gaea at our mercy with all our powers combined, and we will have peace." Percy announced as cheers roared among the crowd.
"You know I think this is the main reason why you fell for Percy Athena." Artemis spoke to her sister.
"What do you mean Artemis?" The Goddess of Wisdom replied.
"You pride yourself on logic above all, but in moments like this even you can be struck by doubt, and need someone to give you hope just like all of them." The Goddess of the Hunt replied looking at the cheering crowd.
"Lady Artemis is right, when it comes down to it the gods are just like the mortals, at the darkest of times they need hope just as much as any demigod." Zoe commented.
"Okay so maybe I do love the fact that he can inspire hope at the darkest of moments like in a final battle for the fate of the world." Athena replied blushing.
With Percy's speech finished a massive explosion sounded near them as they all witness the arrival of Gaea and her Giants.
"Hello Olympians, I hope you and your precious demigods are ready to fall to my children." Gaea called out as the Giants readied their weapons.
With that Zeus and Poseidon flashed down drawing their symbols of power along with the rest of the gods as Percy and the Demigods drew their signature weapons.
"Actually Gaea, We're united and ready to take you down once and for all!" Percy said while pointing Riptide at the Primordial Goddess of Earth.
"HA YOU PATHETIC MORTALS WOULD HAVE TO GET THROUGH US FIRST BEFORE EVEN HAVING A CHANCE AT OUR MOTHER!" Porphyrion shouted.
"That's exactly what we intend to do Porphyrion!" Zeus called back.
And with that the final battle began as Kronos had planned, Percy using his power over water to trap Hippolytus before turning the ice trap into an iron maiden as Hermes dealt the final strike before the two split. Percy going to help Artemis against Orion while Hermes went for Enceladus. Of course as they went their separate ways, Jason used his control of wind to lift Alcyoneus as the Hunters and Hades struck him while he wasn't on the land he was reborn on. This allowed the Hunters to join Percy on the way to Orion while Hades went to aid Dionysus and the Stolls with Otis and Ephialtes, while Jason went to help Poseidon and Zeus with Porphyrion.
When Percy arrived he saw Apollo knocked away, with Artemis pinned by Orion, and the Hunters already there were knocked down.
"Now Artemis, I'm going to take you, and make you mine like I tried to do ages ago." The Giant born to oppose her proclaimed until he felt himself moving extremely slow.
"Wh-what is this?!" Orion asked before seeing the fire hydrants around them blast him off Artemis.
"HUNTERS FIRE AWAY!" Percy shouted getting Artemis' and Apollo's attention as the hunters that joined up with Percy fired their arrows at the Giant striking him at the shoulders, elbows and knees as Percy ran to him and struck Riptide into Orion's head.
"Artemis, Apollo, we need you both to finish Orion." Percy called to them as he landed without his sword.
"Of course Percy Jackson, the one blessed by my half-brother Kronos. Should've known you'd be using his powers to save one of your beloved girlfriends, but what of Athena?" Orion asked while struggling to move from the arrows and Percy's power.
"Simple Hermes is going to aid her and Ares kids making the Giant of Wisdom forced to fight the brain, the army of the brawn, and speed of Olympus." Percy began. "Plus unlike Artemis, Zeus and I don't have to worry about her being taken against her will by a lust driven Giant." He finished.
Of course Percy was using the conversation to distract Orion from noticing Apollo and Artemis standing and each launching an arrow aimed for the Giant's heart. Within less than a minute the arrows from the gods, hunters, and Riptide, combined caused the Giant to return to Tartarus.
"Great timing Percy, if not for you and the rest of the Hunters arriving when you did, we'd be toast, and Arty would have a fate worse than death." Apollo said placing a hand on his cousin's shoulder while Artemis kissed him.
"For now we should be helping Hephaestus, Aphrodite, the fates, Hecate, and possibly Athena, Zeus, and Dionysus." Percy commented.
With that they split again, the healthy hunters going with Apollo to aid Aphrodite, Artemis aiding Athena with Enceladus, and Percy going to help Hephaestus with Mimas while Thalia and Zoe went to help Hecate.
With Mimas, Percy and Triton's combined control over water as well as Percy's power over time snuffed all the flames of the forge giant as Hephaestus and Leo struck him and set him ablaze from the inside.
For Hecate's Bane, Ares distracted him along with Zoe's arrows, and Thalia's lightning, as Hecate and Hazel destroyed him.
Periboia was unable to withstand the combined charmspeak of Aphrodite and Piper allowing Apollo and the hunters to strike down Love's Bane.
The combined effort of Athena, Hermes, and Ares children were able to destroy Enceladus.
With Jason, and Poseidon's help Zeus was able to take down his own bane allowing all the Olympians to join the Fates in their fight against a now hopelessly out numbered Thoon who soon fell to his odds no matter how far ahead he could see or manipulate fate.
"Alright adding in Polybotes who was destroyed early on in this war, all the Giants have been beaten and sent back to Tartarus with no casualties on our side." Percy shouted as all the demigods cheered.
"That's because we all supported one another in this war son, as well as having Father's plan." Poseidon said as he and Triton stood by Percy.
"Now all that's left is Gaea." Hades announced.
And with that all the Olympians, the demigods and Hunters charged to Gaea as the Fates departed when Thoon was destroyed.
"You think that because you had the aid of my eldest son, and the Fates to destroy my children that you can defeat me again?" Gaea asked as the ground beneath them began to quake.
"UNCLE, JASON, USE YOUR CONTROL OVER THE WIND TO HELP LIFT GAEA AND SEPARATE HER FROM HER ELEMENT!" Percy shouted as he and Poseidon used their powers from Poseidon's Earth shaker domain to lessen the severity of Gaea's quake.
While they did that Zeus, and Jason began using their control over the very winds themselves to begin lifting Gaea, but even for the two of them together it was not easy as she was resisting them causing her to stop the Earthquake.
"Thalia, I know you're afraid of heights, but you're a demigod of Zeus, so that means that everything Jason can do, you can as well." Percy said to his cousin. "Right now they need you to use that power, we need you to help them." Percy pleaded as he used the power of Kronos blessing to slow Gaea's resistance to Zeus and Jason's power.
With that Thalia began to try and use the power her father and brother have that she had never tried before in a trial by fire allowing them to lift her further completely separating her from the very Earth itself.
"Piper, Aphrodite, I need you both to charmspeak Gaea into falling asleep to further weaken her." Percy called causing Gaea to weaken from the mother and daughter duo.
As Gaea was getting weaker from the charmspeaking duo, while being lifted higher by Zeus, Jason, and Thalia, Percy, Triton, and Poseidon began to bring water from the hydrants, and the nearby bays and rivers to surround Gaea in a massive cube of water before instantly freezing it. This allowed all the gods and demigods to stop using their powers as even when frozen Gaea's body itself was still miles off the ground with tons of ice separating her from her domain.
"Amazing with Gaea weakened due to the charm speaking, even with the ice on the ground while separating her from it, she's still unable to use her power." Athena said amazed.
"Of course I plan to further separate her from her domain by sealing her in an area of either my palace or Pontus." Ouranos said as he arrived.
"Of course because even if she escapes Pontus' Palace that means she'll still be underwater so any disturbance in the seafloor from her domain will alert Poseidon!" Annabeth realized.
"Exactly Annabeth. This means that Gaea will have not escape to restore her power." Ouranos replied. "Of course you forget that if she is in my palace, she's far beyond her domain, and will have many titans, and Damasen weakening her chance of escape." He finished before flashing Gaea to his palace.
"Hey Gramps, you know what we should do now right?" Percy asked.
"Of course, but I think Dionysus should be the one to announce our next move." Ouranos replied making everyone look at the fat wine god.
"For once Percy's right about our next move, we should PARTY!" Shouted the Wine God as everyone cheered with them.
And done! This was a challenging chapter since I was just feeling rushed to get this done and posted. Plus, I just didn't want to drag out the battle. I mean seriously dragging out such a fight is not an easy thing. Specially when I don't do too many fight scenes, let alone with multiple groups. Unless something happens when making the next chapter it will basically be my ending one. Unless I get ideas for an epilogue chapter. Remember I will not abandon my stories, and I will try to complete them myself. There are many others that are the same way, but will plead the readers for ideas. Oh and I actually could use some more ideas for A Queen's Love. That is unless everyone wants Percy and Hera to get together within a couple to a few chapters.
Anyway I plan to start working on my next update soon, so Never Give Up and Never Stop Being a True Believer.
G.T. Out!
