So, I'll be quite busy this month (October) to get ready for November... Wish me luck, please! Also, please check out my SAO story. You can find it on my author profile... Now, on to the new version of Dracken Blood!

Chapter 1: The New Year

Harry woke suddenly in pain. He was staying with his Godfather, Sirius, who had miraculously survived the Department of Mystery battle. Harry cried out in his pain, and Sirius and Remus came running into the room. Harry couldn't speak, but his teary eyes spoke of the terrible pain he was going through.

Sirius recognized the signs, and turned to Remus. "Wet a washcloth and bring it here, please. Cool water." He didn't wait to see if Remus left, as he hurried over to his godson. "Shush... It's going to be ok. Let's get this shirt off of you so that you don't ruin it." He pulled Harry's shirt over the 16 year old's head not a moment too soon, as big scaly wings burst out of the young man's back. "There you go, Harry, you're doing great! Can you lift your wings for me a bit?"

Remus hurried back into the room, stopping in shock for a minute as Harry lifted his bloody wings a little bit, before he walked over to hand the washcloth over to Sirius. "How is this possible? His parents didn't have creature blood."

"I'll explain tomorrow when he wakes up," Sirius replied. He looked at his godson who had passed out.

"Do you think he'll be like you?"

Sirius shook his head, pointing to the white scales he had just uncovered with his cleaning.

Sunlight broke through the gap in the curtains of Harry's room. Harry groaned, trying to cover his eyes, but it was no use. He was awake now. Harry slowly sat up, noticing that he was no longer in pain. Getting out of bed, he walked out of his room and made his way down to the kitchen. Two voices sounded hushed, and he made out his godfather's voice.

"I said I'd explain when Harry wakes up." Sirius grabbed the teapot, and poured more tea for himself and Remus. "This is going to be hard."

Remus nodded. He was a bit sad, because he knew that their time together could be over soon. He looked up, and saw Harry walk in. Remus smiled a little, "Harry."

Sirius whipped around to look at the teen. "Harry! How are you feeling?"

"A little weird, to be honest," Harry replied, walking over to take a seat next to Sirius. "I keep having the feeling that I'm being hunted, but there's no one there." Two things happened at once. Sirius looked at Remus, and Remus flinched. Harry looked between the two men. "What? What is it? Tell me!"

Remus cleared his throat nervously. "It would seem that your creature sees me as a threat."

"What?!" Harry was confused. He was a creature, and his creature saw Remus as a threat?! "I don't understand."

Sirius sighed, and rubbed his hand over his face. "I wish I had all the right words for this..." His grey eyes looked into Harry's jewel-toned green eyes. "It seems you, too, have inherited a creature inheritance from the Black family. At least, that's the only conclusion I can come to. James and I are distant cousins, and his father's family didn't have the Dracken gene. Only the Blacks and a few other families have the possibility of inheriting. I think my grandfather was the last one in my family -before me- to become a Dracken. Unfortunately, he couldn't find a submissive, and he settled for the human wife that was arranged for him. He died when I was a kid, but he could tell I was a Dracken at birth. I knew that when I was 16 that I would go through the change. I, too, didn't expect to feel like Remus was a threat. Thankfully, that only lasted for a couple of months. Of course, I had to tell Remus and James why I was so aggressive towards Remus for the first two months of our sixth year." Sirius took a deep breath. "You see, Drackens are so secretive that I didn't know that Drackens and Werewolves didn't always get along, to put it lightly. Drackens are very protective dragonoid creatures."

Harry frowned with all the new information he was receiving. "Are you saying that my Dracken feels like Remus is a threat, and that I'll be aggressive towards him?"

"Yes and no," Sirius said, scratching his cheek. "You are submissive, given the white scales on you, and while you will be a bit aggressive, it's likely that you'll be the most aggressive when you are pregnant."

"Submissive?" Harry looked between the two older men. "And why do I have to act different around Remus? I don't want to!"

Remus looked at his cub, sadly. "You might not have a choice. Most Drackens are ruled by their instincts."

Harry took a deep breath, seemingly fighting with himself, and slowly stood up. He put one foot in front of the other until he shakily stood next to Remus. He told himself and the other two, "I will not let my Dracken instincts rule my mind. I won't!" He slowly sat on the bench next to Remus. Closing his eyes, he counted to ten before he slid closer to the Werewolf. He counted to ten again before he opened his eyes. He nodded. "I can do this." He smiled at Sirius and Remus.

Sirius beamed at Harry and noticed Remus' shy smile. His family was still together, even though it would probably change at any time. Thank goodness Sirius had been cleared, and that Harry was allowed to live with him, even though Dumbledore had to be given a few friendly threats by the majority of the Order to get it done. He spoke up, "Harry, I now have to let the Dracken Council know about your inheritance. I have no choice. However, if you go to the Library, you'll find a blue book on the desk. Please read it. It will give you more information."

"Alright," Harry replied, glumly. "I wish I didn't have to go through this..."

"Same here, Harry. Same here." Sirius shooed the submissive out of the room. Then he turned to Remus. "I'm sorry, I'll feel the call just like other Dominants."

Remus nodded. "I know. I'm not happy about losing you like this, but I understand." He tried to smile. "After you send that letter, do you want to share one last experience, with a silencing charm of course?" He wanted his last time with his best friend to be a happy one.

"Of course," came Sirius' sad response. He leaned over, and kissed Remus' cheek. Then he summoned parchment and a self-inking quill.

A/N 2: Well, here it is! I hope you like it! Sorry that I had to end it here... It's 3:18 am here and it's my mom's birthday now. I've got to get some sleep...
