Summary: Naruto's defeated them all and triumphed, victorious. But there's something wrong with the Nanadaime Hokage. He is constantly bested...by headaches

"Get the hell away from me."

"Hokage-sama! Hokage-sama...Naruto!"

"C'mon, man! You can't do this to us!"

"No. No, no, no, no!"

"YOU PROMISED ME, YOU BASTARD!"

Uzumaki Namikaze Naruto woke with a start. He jerked, but before he could get up, his senses were assailed by muscle pain, soreness, and the heady scent of chemicals. He kept his eyes closed as he tried his best to deal with the overwhelming awareness.

He turned to the voice that had originally roused him. Gaara's clouded eyes peered back at him in the dim moonlight. The Kazekage's hand clenched the blankets as Naruto leaned back. From his neutral posture, he suffered the frantic medics fumbling about.

Befuddled, blue eyes glared up petulantly. Gaara would have laughed in any other situation.

"Why am I in a hospital bed?"

Gaara put a hand over his eyes.

"Sleep, Naruto-nii."

And Naruto did.
