A/N: This is my first fic/poem/story/posting/whatever you want to call it EVER. It's based on iTorchic's "It had been a Long Time Since He had Cried." (Thank you for letting me do this!) And so, WAH-LAH! My first creation. Personally, I think it turned out pretty well. ^w^

It had been a long time since he had cried.
There had been countless times when he had been sad or afraid, and he would've cried, but he couldn't.
The last time he remembered crying was on that island. His brother and him, alone in that place.

It had been a long time since he had cried.
Forced to watch as others released their fear and pain, he longed for that wetness on his face again.
He longed for those tears on his cheeks, knowing that, while he himself was not able to, his brother refused to.

It had been a long time since he had cried.
Though, others cried for him, and there was one in particular with long black braids and large dark eyes who cared for him.
With every passing tragedy and hardship, he only longed for it more.

It had been a long time since he had cried.
Crying showed that one had emotions. It proved that one was human.
Full of hope for the future, he pressed bravely onward.

It had been a long time since he had cried.
But seeing his brother pinned to that slab of stone, helpless as he faced death, he knew his brother needed more than tears.
He restored his brother's arm and now he waited there in that whiteness.
His brother came, and together they walked back through those doors.
He could feel the sun, smell the grass. Taking a deep breath, he smiled up at his brother.
And he cried.

It had been a long time since Alphonse Elric had cried.
