Alright, so this is my first FMA fanfic that I ever wrote. I DON'T OWN FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST! Trust me, I really wish I did, but I don't, this is just something I came up with in the world. Please try not to flame, I'm very sensitive, and if you rate and review, I'll post the next chapter!

The moon shone over the sleeping world. The only thing breaking the serenity, and silence of the night was the sound of running footsteps and heavy breathing.

"Come on Al!" The blond boy called, "We can do this! We just need to make it to the train station and then we'll be out of here! Come on! Just a little farther!"

"Ed! I can't do this any more! I have to stop!" Alphonse panted, as he tripped over his own feet and skidded across the damp grass.

Edward stopped and ran back to his younger brother.

"Come on, Al." He said trying to get his limp brother to his feet, "I just got you back. I can't loose you now."

When he finally realized that his brother was completely exhausted, he sighed and hoisted Al up onto his back. Then he took off running harder, faster. He heard the shouts of men behind him but he refused to stop. He could not loose his brother. Not again.

They finally made it to the train station. Soaked through with the rain that had started to fall, Ed put Al down on the concrete. He was able to stand. Ed looked around and saw the three homunculus looking in all directions. One of them locked on to him, and gestured to the others.

"Al. Run." Ed said.

"Wha–"

"Now!"

Al ran, and Ed followed. Then the sound of gunfire rang through the air, and Ed pitched forward.

"Brother!" Al cried as he caught Ed in his arms.

"N-no…Al…I-I just got you back…I can't loose you again." Ed choked, clutching his brother's shirt.

Ed's warm, sticky blood covered Al's arms and soaked through his shirt.

"Brother…don't go…please…" Al whispered. His voice choked, and he started to cry.

The world blurred before Ed's eyes. The sound of someone screaming seemed to come through a tunnel as it was imposed on him. Minutes passed. The last faint thing he heard was the sound of running feet as he stared up at his brother's face. He reached up weakly and brushed the tears away. He smiled as his arm went limp and his eyes closed.

"Brother! No! Please!"
