95Hey, guys. I know that this goes against the FFN rules to post a chapter regarding an author's note but I feel that I should explain the current situation and future to this story.
First, I've had a lot of stuff going on for those wondering why I haven't posted anything regarding Hannah or Draco or even my newer character Aneta. Hannah's story basically died down when I graduated high school (I'm now 24) and I've had a lot of mental health issues going on after the death of the woman I knew as my mom my entire life (I posted something regarding this in the prologue to my Marvel story should anyone want to read it.)
Almost two years ago, when I finally was up to post a new story, I got hit with a medical bombshell. I had cancer. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 3. With a LOT of chemotherapy, remission, relapse and CAR-T, I've managed to be in the clear and have now been cancer-free for almost six months. My Wattpad will soon have the details on that fight if you're interested. It's kind of been my therapy for dealing with the last couple of years, and you'll get to know a bit more about me.
Finally, I want to bring up the JK thing. I know, it's old news, but again, I haven't exactly been able to sit and be able to process and type out how I feel about it until I've been in a somewhat better state mentally, but now I feel I must. So I'll post this on the stories I have in process and in my bio to simply ensure it reaches people.
When I was in high school, any time I got a comment on my Hannah story saying something akin to "OMG, if I didn't know better I could swear you WERE JK Rowling!", I felt amazing inside to be able to be compared to an author like that.
But, with her recent homophobic ramblings and my own recent discovery of my own bisexuality, I can't so much as look at Hannah's story without cringing. Both because of how people compared it to JK's writing, and how horribly written it was.
Now, I can pin a lot of it to being in high school and everyone's writing improves as they mature, but I'll be brutally honest. I can't be proud of the story anymore. This is why, on October 31st, 2021, I am going to be deleting all the Hannah stories and starting fresh at square 1. And with this, there will be plenty of changes:
Hannah - Hannah is going to definitely be put on the backburner for a while, while I work on improving her character to benefit the new age. Hopefully this time around she won't be as much as a definition of "Mary Sue", but I will guarantee, she will NOT be a Seer, and she will NOT be able to read minds (perhaps aside from Harry's because they're twins, but I'll debate that.). Her element control is a bit up in the air at this point, but right now I'm leaning towards no to that either because I have that in another character for another fandom. And to reflect my own sexuality, Hannah will also most likely have a female love interest before being with Draco.
Ivy and Shiela - Ivy will definitely be permanently removed from the story. As I've mentioned in the past, Ivy, Shiela and She-Cat were based on friends that I had in high school, and during the last few years, Ivy's inspiration and I have had a bit of a falling out. To reflect that, Ivy will no longer be in the story, which means more time will be focused on the actual heroine, Hannah.
Shiela WILL be back, but, not in the way that you all will know her. As mentioned, my friend that Shiela was based on has in the past while since I last updated the story has come out as transgender. The last he and I spoke, he requested that I change Shiela to reflect himself, and I will be honouring that, especially after the issues with JK. I would like to be more inclusive to the LGBTQ+ this time around. I do have his new name on the forefront, but I won't share it until I actively post a chapter with him in it. But don't worry, for those who love Fireball, he will be back!
LGBTQ+ - As I've mentioned, I would like to be more inclusive to the LGBT community in my upcoming fanfictions, which will mean I include more LGBT ships and even LGBT characters. Both in Harry Potter and Marvel.
MARVEL - As you'll probably see in my profile, I have started writing Marvel content. As of now, I have three MCU OCs that I look forward to sharing with you, with stories I like to say I honed in a bit more than I did with Hannah before I posted. Aneta, you've probably met, but there is also one for Bucky, and another for Pietro Maximoff. I will be incorporating them into the MCU where I can. This will mean I will be writing in:

I'm going to be stepping away from Hannah's story, and take the time to work on the Marvel ones, as they will be the ones I have more inspiration for and ever more character development for. If you wish to save Hannah's cringey past, you are more than welcome to do so, and post it elsewhere provided I get credit, on the condition that you also inform your followers that I will be writing a better version here.
Also, I will be changing my pen name here to my TikTok username, do feel free to go follow me there. From now on, I'll be known here as Agent of Jotunheim (or whatever damn variant of that FFN will let me use.)
