This fic deals with angst and death. I have yet to write any chapters at the moment. The main plot won't kick in until after a few chapters, so if you're faint of heart, you'll be fine within the first few chapters. This fic will not have any explicit or sexual content beyond the T-rating, but that doesn't mean it won't be disturbing. Reader discretion is not only advised; it is strongly urged.
Leo took a moment to reflect on the past as he laid flowers on his parents' graves. He stood there as the world swirl around him and time passes by. At length he spoke: "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
Mr. and Mrs. Leonardo have been struggling with cancer for years, but they never told their son until their last days; they did not want their son to worry about them.
Leo remembered the last time he spoke to his father all to well.
"We're old folks now, Junior," Leo II said to his son, "The world wouldn't miss us, and you couldn't save us even if we had told you."
And his words were in truth, for neither Leo III nor his friend, Aeris, could earn enough money to save Leonardo II and his wife.
As Leo mourned for his parents before their graves, Aeris stood by her friend, and she looked upon him with pity.
"They wanted you to live your life without care, Leo." said Aeris.
"Yeah, you're right," he replied, "Let's go home."
And so they left the graveyard, heading for their apartment.
