This story is based on the Movie (I haven't read the book yet) and had this idea during an English class when we watched the film. For this story to work just pretend Josie never ripped up the John's suicide note.

Looking for Albrandi- The truth in time

Josie shrived as she stood outside John Barton's old home. It had been a year since he had died but there was one thing Josie had left to do before she could finally left go.
Shaking Josie brought herself to ring the door bell. John's father came to the door.
"Mr. Barton, I have something for you" Josie told him. She handed him John's suicide note. Mr. Barton quickly read the note.
"Who wrote this?" he asked when he was done
"John" Josie told him "I wrote on to him too. We wrote them before the exams. It was my idea; we were going to read them once the exams were finished."
"You're Josie right" Mr. Barton asked
"Yes" Josie Answered
"Thank you" Mr. Barton told her "For being my son's friend"
"You're welcome" Josie answered. As Josie turned to leave she could help but feel sort of happy. Now his parent might finally be able to realize why there son took his own life.

*half an hour later *

"What was so important that I had to leave my meeting" Mrs. Barton asked as she came home
"Read this" Mr. Barton told her giving her the letter
Mrs. Barton read the letter out loud. "If I could be anything other than what I am, I'd want it tomorrow. If I could be what my father wants me to be, maybe I could stay for that too. If I could be what you want me to be, I'd want to stay. But I am what I am, and all I want is freedom" she paused as tears filled her eyes "Who wrote this?" she sobbed
"John" Her husband told her "He wrote it to his friend Josie"

"So that the reason" she sobbed "Because we had too much pressure on him."

*the next day*

Mrs. Barton laid the bouquet of flowers at John's grave. "Why John" she sobbed "Why did you tell us we haven't put too much pressure on you?"
She stayed by the grave for the rest of the day unable to move. It wasn't until her husband came to her that she moved.
"Were sorry John" Mr. Barton said
"We really are" Sobbed Mrs. Barton
