When you fall in love, it is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake, and then it subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots are become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is.

An atheists not believing in thing she can't see. She feels she understands death. She deals with death face to face every day. She understands the science of crimes

An abusive father, having his grandfather raised him. After high school he joined the army. The U.S. Army Special Forces trained him to be an expert sniper. He served in the 101st airborne division, the 75th ranger regiment. He served in the Gulf war, Somalia, and Kosovo. He tries to keep his personal and professional life strictly separate, but aspects of his personal life leak through. He is a religious man by nature having been an altar boy as a child. He made mistakes, not just ones that he could forgot. He has a son. Now, a special agent with the FBI he tries to save people, to make him feel better about the people he killed in the army. He understands the personal relationship of crimes.

A Forensic Anthropologist and a Special FBI Agent. Two random people that believe in completely different things raised completely different ways. But they share a common interest. Catching the bad guy, and saving the victim. These two people are unlikely victims of love. Pushing their ways through social barriers. First having a connection, a look, but not going all the way. Pushed away from each other, because of a mistake. Then seeing each other every day, made them to have a relationship which had no romantic part that took place. But there is a bond between them, full of friendship and trust. They would take their life for each other. But still can't take that step forward. But an accident connects them both forever.
