Hey guys! Yay I re-wrote chapter 1! So proud of myself! Anyways, the little thingies with the names above are just a little intro thingy, just the team talking, and a little thing to get you thinking- But not to draw you away from the main point. It's mostly going to be Rodney and John, but there'll be others in there too, I made it up, but it also is truth in its own way! You'll see when you read, they're all connected. (I'll post them all together in the bottom)
Anyways I've written enough of this, read and enjoy! ^.^
When Worlds Collide
A New Journey Begins…
(Rodney M. McKay)
Did you know that space isn't the final frontier-?
*Step echo, step echo, step echo, step echo, step echo*- It was a steady rhythmic sound in the silent city. Angels hovered silently, no soul, no feelings- they were just soulless- lifeless- silent puppets. No emotions, no speech, no senses. They could probably break every bone in their bodies- including their wings- and barely flinch. This thought made the only occupant of the city wince.
*Step echo, step echo, step echo*- That rhythm was the only thing keeping Kratos Aurion sane- after almost a year and a half of pure isolation, no one to talk too, nothing to do but walk, watch the angels hover, fly around, search for expheres he might have missed (even if it was unlikely), watch the stars pass by, and think; just sit there with his eyes closed and think about all his mistakes… And his idea on how to fix the angels; but unfortunately he wasn't a craftsman, and so couldn't fix the crests the right way. He hoped to figure out a way to fix it when the giant ship passed by Aselia the next time, and ask a dwarf, or even Lloyd to help him. Lloyd should be a master by then, he was already proficient. So one thing to look forward to…
But even his own mind had become unfit to ponder, because it brought painful memories to the surface, and left him with betraying thoughts. So when he couldn't keep walking, and had to sit down he now just sat there; blank and silent, eyes closed. Not sleeping, but just sitting his mind blank, resting but not shut off, he no longer made any noise, and no longer couldn't bear not having any human contact at all, no contact with Lloyd…Yes he missed his son but he didn't want to dwell on those thoughts, because like a lot of others it brought on a slew of, stronger, more betraying thoughts…And he couldn't take it if he did what was so tempting.
No he decided from the day he decided to go with Dherris Karlan he would see it through to the end…Which might be a very long time…Like nearly 8 billion years if he had calculated right…But that was only if the mana around the giant ship wasn't thick enough to keep it from being nicked by asteroids every once in a while, especially when it came cross a giant crystalized star about a year out, which was actually fed by many thousands of years of mana to stay bright until Dherris Karlan circled around again. At this point, if it kept deflecting most asteroids…It would end up being a good 10-15 trillion years before he could finally die… (Poor Kratos, I'm evil… T.T)
-That cloning and Nanobots aren't the last thing we have to build to cure diseases and illness, and fix our problems-
"Hey Sheena, are we done flying for the day now?" Lloyd asked.
"I'm good with landing for the day, you go first, and set up the tents I'll find a place for my rheaird."
"Ok! I'll set up in that clearing down there!"
"Alright," Sheena said, unclipping the camping supplies and expertly dropping them into the small clearing. "See you in a few!"
-That Atlantis is still around; that it is real! And aliens built it!-
"Raine are you done playing with that stone ring thingy?"
"No, it's a great new find, and if I'm correct, these symbols on the pedestal and on the ring are both in the verse of the angels. I've deciphered most of it…"
"But Collette is on her way! She can decipher it!"
"But I'm so close…" Raine whined as her brother dragged her away.
"Come on, you should at least eat dinner."
Rain sighed. "Fine; I'll eat dinner then I'm strait back out here!"
"Fine Raine, as long as you eat. It wouldn't do for you to get sick would it?"
"Of course not, you're right, it would drag me away from my research, and I might get you sick!"
"See so come on."
"Of course; now there's no need for you to drag me now."
-That wormholes actually work for space travel, and can be created and used by giant rings, the greatest feat of technology since; well forever-
Presea sat at her own worktable. Regal had given a room all to her to make whatever she wanted. She was great at it and enjoyed it very much, and since she had direct access to the sky terrace she was one happy young lady. There was a knock at her door-
The door opened and Regal entered.
"How are you this morning?"
"Fine, thank you."
"We have a visitor today."
"Who is it?"
"Hey Presea, how are you!?" Collette said, bouncing in with a giant smile on her face.
"Collette, I'm very well, what about you?"
"I'm doing great! I was just on my way to go and assist Professor Raine, and I thought I'd take a minute to stop by! So what have the two of you been doing lately?"
-Through the Stargate we meet friends-
Zelos was a busy person, he wasn't the chosen anymore, nope, now he was working as the king's advisor, and well… It was complicated, he had paperwork to do, scheduling, and about ten other jobs... All of which he had to do with only the help of an intern from Sybak. Albeit very pretty intern from Sybak, but none the less, it was still only one person.
So now he was taking a vacation. He was currently busy flying around trying to find some of his friends. He knew Regal would be at Altamira, but he wasn't sure he could get there relax and back in the time he had allotted himself. Three days… Man, being important sure sucks sometimes…
Yuan sat quietly, thinking as he lounged on the stone bench. He was currently in the ancient city of Asguard, and was bored out of his mind, no renegades, no Yggdrasil to worry about, No Kratos to worry about- sort of-, no need to kidnap Lloyd, no secretary pulling his very sensitive ears to wake him up from his boredom induced slumber Who even hired a secretary for me anyways…Not like I needed one… Much…, no chosen to follow, no fiancé to adore, and the sapling was being watched over and protected. He'd been told multiple times by multiple people to go out and take a short vacation. And now he was bored…
He looked up to find none other than the Sage siblings staring at him. He stood up and brushed himself off, smiling slightly.
"What are you doing here?"
"Ah, I was told by multiple people to take a vacation, of course, now I've got nothing to do other than travel, sit around, and be bored…"
"Well… If you're staying in Asguard for the next little while, we're waiting for Colette so she can help with some of my research."
"Well… Very well, I wouldn't mind the company."
-And then there are the ones I like to call frienemies-
Lloyd sat silently as he ate his dinner; he and Sheena did this every night, sitting eating, and then going to their separate tents. But tonight he wanted to change a few things, starting with silent dinner…
She looked up, "Hmm, what is it?"
"Well… I, have something to ask you…"
"I… Eh, HUH?" She stopped he blabbering as he got off his log and down onto one knee…
"Sheena, I've known you for over two years… And over that time we've traveled for most of it and gotten to know each other… So, I got thinking on a discussion I had with Professor Raine last time we bumped into each other… And, so I- Willyoumarryme?"
"Will you, marry me…?" He asked, opening a little box with a silver based ring, and three purple amethysts set in it. She sat there, speechless, though not the first time she'd been so in her life. Finally she said the lamest thing she ever could've…
"Is that a no?"
"What? Yes, I mean no, wait a second, yes, I'll marry you, no, that wasn't a no,"
(Meredith R. McKay)
There are missions like the people of our expedition have set off on, that are one way tickets, and even if it's possible to get back- people die.
Colonel John Sheppard lounged boredly on a cafeteria chair… He was waiting… And waiting… And- Is there seriously nothing better to do than wait to go on my next mission? He thought to himself. Rodney sat down beside him and started his rampage through his food. John got a thought to make life less boring and stole a grape.
"Hey! I was going to eat that!" Rodney said.
"Well then, get eating before I take more…"
Suddenly the Atlantis base wasn't so boring anymore. It finally ended with Rodney trying to get his tray back from John, both of which were matched for speed when Rodney had a reason to really run. John smirked and stopped in a nook before heading back to the cafeteria and putting the tray back where it was. Rodney entered a few minutes later, red and panting…
"I… Hate… You…"
"Ah, the ultimate goal in life…"
But in the end I think that all of us will agree, it's worth it; the knowledge that we gain now through exploration, is the power to fight the wraith, and any other enemies that come our way later.
Colette flew through the sky, now heading directly for Asguard; only to get sidetracked again as she saw a familiar Angel she took a better look and smiled.
"Zelos!" She called flying towards him; she seemed to be born for the sky since it was the only place where she wasn't usually a klutz… Usually; but she couldn't stop fast enough and bumped Zelos causing him to lose his in-flight balance and thy both fell towards the ground; luckily though Zelos was used to her by now- he had known her for a little over a year and a half now- and so he could easily fix the situation- flapping his wings to bring them back to the higher part of the sky. Finally he let her hand go and they hovered a few hundred feet above the ground.
"So, what's up my Beautiful Angel Colette?"
"Well, I was just going to see Raine and Genis, but I saw you so I thought I'd say hi…" She said, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly.
"I see, I am in fact on vacation- would you mind some company?"
"Really; that would be great!"
Zelos chuckled and grabbed her hand as they began to fly. "So where are we headed anyways?"
"Oh, Asguard," Colette replied.
Zelos pulled Colette in towards him and did a backflip.
"We were going the wrong way." He said.
"Oh…" Colette muttered flying out again.

Sheena: Was that a Zellette hint…?
Lloyd: Yea 'cause I thought you were putting Colette with that one annoying guy.
Colette: Huh? What one annoying guy? I don't know any annoying guys.
Zelos: And I thought you were going to pair me with that chick.
Bubblekins1010: AHHHH! SHUT UP! ALL OF YOU! No giving my pairings away! (Must go re-figure some pairings… Maybe…)
Genis: But we just want to make sure we know who you're going to put us together with!
Bubblekins1010: *Glares* Also a little more Author note~ I'm setting the journey as taking about 1 year, instead of like 1 – 2 weeks! That's that! Until next time! ^.^ This also set about one year after the game; also straying from cannon couples. For all my readers thank you SOOOOOO much for staying with me!
EDIT VERY IMPORTANT AN: I will be having Surgery on the 18th and this will be no regular surgery either, it'll be my last one, so probably my second biggest (Behind the first one); so I probably won't even be on the computer for at least 2-3 weeks afterwards, let alone be able to sit and type forever, so I unfortunately won't be updating for a while.
