15Author's Note: Hello people of Earth (or any other various planets you could live on) I have come to you with a new story. A story about love, friendship, family, war, and aw who am I kidding I should just let you read it for yourself c: But before I can let you do that there are a few vital things you should know about the story. My story takes place after the war of Aizen and he has been banished to the lowest prison in the Soul Society. Also everyone is fixing up the Soul Society, and I might change points of view as we go on in the story, but don't worry I'll make sure I put that down if I do change between narrator and a character. And I know it says that it's all about IchiHime, but I have a lot of other couples in there to. Enjoy!
Over the past few weeks the soul reapers have joined together to rebuild the Soul Society. Everyone is putting in their greatest effort to repair its battle wounds and scars. The war had not only impacted the Soul Society, but much of the people in it as well. No one will rest until they have finished the job...
"ICHIGO! RENJI! Where the hell are those two slackers?" Rukia growled as Orihime shrugged in response.
"Maybe they're taking a break." The orange haired girl suggested.
"Ugh then that'd be the eighth break today. Ergh, I can't stand it, I'm going to go look for them." The little lieutenant said as she ran out of the house mumbling to herself incoherently.
Orihime giggled to herself as she went back to work. While she was working she couldn't help but over hear a bunch of academy kids talking a few feet away from the window about the war that had just taken place not to long ago. She turned her head to see the kids standing in a circle with a boy in the middle being the center of attention. Everyone seemed to be listening actively while he spoke.
"And then Ichigo was like totally killing that dude!" The boy said with more enthusiasm than she had ever heard anyone have before.
She giggled to herself and thought.
Kids what can you do...but I guess you could say he was totally killing Aizen.
She sighed and smiled to herself as she turned back to the kids wondering what else he had to say and some where in the back of her mind hoping he would say something about her. But before the kid could speak again a girl from the little circle in the crowd shoved through everyone and shouted,
"And lets not forget Ichigo's ravishing muscles!"
All of the girls in the crowd squealed and shrieked in agreement, as the guys looked down at their own biceps comparing them to Ichigo's. Orihime's eyes shot open and her whole face got flushed with red as she put her back on the wall just below the window.
"Oh goodness." She whispered while sitting there awkwardly "T-their j-just kids t-talking...oh no need to get all blushy." She said as she covered her face with her hands trying to hide her blushing.
"Hey now girls," The first boy said as he took back his lime light "let's not forget that Ichigo belongs to Orihime."
Those four words made Orihime's face turn redder than a ripe tomato and her eyes became wider than the Grand Canyon!
"I-Ichigo...b-belongs t-to me? What are those crazy kids t-thinking? H-he'd never go for a girl l-like me..." She stuttered.
The crowd of kids all agreed accept one girl who (yet again) stole the spot light.
"Eh I've always been a IchiRuki fan." She shrugged.
The crowd looked around at each other and started mumbling in to their own conversations. Orihime had heard enough for one day, so she got up and slammed the window shut.
"I always knew they had a secrete thing." The healer said with a clenched jaw.
"Who?" A masculine voice, sounding much like Ichigo, asked.
Orihime knew who it was and knowing it was him made her cheeks return to the pinkish color they once were. She turned around and smiled.
"H-Hi Ichigo." The blushing girl said in a shaky voice.
"Hey." Ichigo responded.
What Orihime saw when Ichigo said that simple word..."Hey", was a long orange haired knight with shinning armor sitting on a beautiful white Pegasuses unicorn type thing. She almost died, but she decided to save herself the embarrassment for another time. When her beautiful knight in shinning armor started to walk away she tried to say something, but no words left her mouth. So she just continued to stare at him as he left the room.
She sighed and thought to herself.
If only I could gather up the nerve to say...to say..no..I can't.
Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by a booming voice shouting,
"Come on you baka! You've slacked off enough for one day."
"That's Rukia..." Orihime whispered to her self.
"Get off me women!"
"And that's Renji...I swear sometimes I think they should get m-"
The healer was cut off by a loud crashing noise coming from the front of the house. She gasped and ran over to see what had happened and seeing was not even the word to begin describing the odd sight. It was more like an eye full. Rukia had fallen on top of Renji and the door had fallen on top of her in the process. They had rubble all over them...oh and there was blue paint (blue paint because they're renovating the house) all over Renji's face.
"Uhm?" She started unsure of what to say.
Rukia and Renji were speechless staring at each other with wide eyes. There was a couple moments of silence...
"What happened I heard a loud crashing noise and I-" Ichigo said in a panic, but when he got the eye full, his aura completely changed.
"Pfffffttttt! Hahahahahahahaha! Look at you two! Hahahahahahaha." Ichigo bursted out in to uncontrollable laughter.
Orihime looked at Ichigo and then back at the two wondering if it was a funny matter, or a serious matter. As Ichigo's laughter continued Renji's face turned bright red, from anger, through all of the blue paint. He took Rukia off of him and stormed out.
"Hey man we're trying to rebuild the Soul Society, not tear it down! Hahahahahahaha." Ichigo taunted the red head as he left.
As for Rukia she was still lying there speechless and frozen.
"Um Rukia, are you okay?" Orihime asked bent over waving her hand in front of her friends face trying to get her out of the trance she was in.
"Y-yeah...I'm fine. W-why wouldn't I be?" The purple haired girl asked as she got up and brushed her self off.
"Because you were lying on top of Renji! Hahahahahahaha! How does a thing like that even happen! Hahahaha!" Ichigo howled in complete amusement.
Rukia's face turned red and she looked around the room for anything that could possibly save her. She was out of luck because the only things there were home improvement tools and Orihime. Oh wait...Orihime!
"Well it wouldn't be so funny if that were you and Orihime!" Rukia shouted in an attempt to gain back her honor.
Orihime's face began to turn red for about the fifth time today. Ichigo on the other hand...
"So we'd laugh it off. Orihime and I are good friends. Right Hime." Ichigo smiled over at her.
She nodded her head really fast and made a noise similar to a "mmhm" sound. Ichigo looked back over at Rukia giving her a sly smile. Rukia rolled her eyes and took no time to escape the embarrassment and left. As soon as Rukia left through the door frame, Orihime looked up at Ichigo, who was just about finished with his laugh attack.
"That was too much!" The orange haired man said as he wiped a tear away from his face.
Orihime smiled in response and looked away. There was an awkward silence between the two for about thirty seconds then Ichigo took it upon himself to break it.
"Well I'm going to go home...bye Hime."
She made a little noise and waved as he left.

It had been almost a month and all of the hard work everyone had been putting in to rebuilding the Soul Society had paid off. They had finally finished!
"In honor of the Soul Society, I have decided...even though I'm against it." The Captain Commander mumbled to himself "To throw a party!" He boomed to the crowd of Soul Reapers.
There was a ripple of cheers through out the crowd, but the one that was the loudest and that was none other than...
"Wooooooh! Party! Drinking! Dancing! Yeeeah!" Rangiku shouted numerous times while doing the wave.
Her captain, Toshiro, glared at her hard in an attempt to make her stop. Although it took some time, she stopped and then the cheers died down so the Captain Commander could speak again.
"I just want to make it clear that every single soul reaper has to be there. It shows respect for the Soul Society and this event is taking place tomorrow night. Thank you." When he finished he walked off his speaking podium and the crowd started to talk amongst each other.
"A party that, sounds like fun!" Orihime shrieked to Rukia.
"Eh..." Rukia replied.
"W-what's wrong Rukia? Don't you like parties?" The orange haired girl asked innocently. The purple haired girl folded her arms and shrugged.
"Well I do...but it's just that all the parties are the same."
Orihime looked at her friend more confused than she was to begin with. Rukia sighed and broke it down for her.
"The same people get drunk and start singing really bad. Then the sober people end up having to take what's left of the drunk people home. And most of the time the drunks end up...you know." She looked up at her innocent friend not wanting to startle her. But it was clear to Rukia that her ditzy friend had no clue what she was trying to say.
"The drunks end up having sex." Rukia said as bluntly as she could.
That word almost killed Orihime. I mean it literally knocked the wind out of her. The startled girl tried to respond to her friend, but she couldn't.
"It's okay," Rukia patted Orihime on the back "you don't have to respond. Let's just go home."
The next morning all the soul reapers through out the Soul Society were psyched for the big party that was being held that night. Everyone was out buying new outfits, getting their hair and make up done, actually taking showers (cough cough Ganju), and some not wanting to show their face in public...?
"Knock knock! Oops door's opened, coming in." Ichigo said as he barged in Renji's apartment. When the orange haired soul reaper walked in he saw his red haired friend in his room with his face buried in a pillow. He would have assumed his friend was sleeping, but when Ichigo came in Renji made a kind of grunting noise, so he went in to his room and started shaking his shoulder.
"Hey man, what are you doing? All of the guys are out getting hair cut. Come on." Ichigo said in an encouraging tone. Renji grunted in response and by this time Ichigo wasn't having it anymore.
"Come on man! Get up!" Ichigo said in a firm tone while shoving his friend harder.
"Ichigo, I'm not going! So would you PLEASE, leave me alone!" Renji shouted.
Ichigo was taken aback by his friends sudden anger and moved back a few steps.
"Hmm..." Ichigo thought aloud to himself as he stared down at his friend.
"Getsuga-" Ichigo started.
Then as if it was programmed in Renji to get up when he said that word, he bounced out of bed and asked,
"So which barber?" The red head said with a nervous smile.
The boys were going to the barber and the girls were at the nail and hair salon. As the groups gossiped about each other and the war that had passed.
GIRLS:
"I mean you'd think by now Orihime would be able to admit to Ichigo about her little crush on him." Soi said to Rukia.
Rukia shrugged and looked at Orihime across from the salon, then back at the captain.
"Well if you want to talk about 'crushes'," Rukia started as she quoted the word crushes with her fingers "lets talk about you and Hisagi." The little lieutenant said with a sly smile on her face. Soi glared back at her.
"There is nothing to say." Soi said in a stern tone. "He's just a loser who can't accept the fact that I'm not in to him."
"I can't see why you wouldn't be in to him. I mean he's gorgeous!" Rukia teased.
"Well if he's so gorgeous why don't you go after him." Soi said sarcastically.
"Who's gorgeous?" Orihime said as she walked over to the nail portion of the salon, where the two were talking.
"Hisagi." They both said simultaneously. Orihime looked at them both stunned.
"Soi you think Hisagi's gorgeous?" The orange haired girl looked at her shocked. Rukia smiled at Soi waiting for her objection.
"Well he isn't ugly..." The little captain shrugged. Rukia looked at Soi and then back at Orihime with her jaw almost to the floor.
"W-WHAT? Just a second ago you were all like 'He's a pathetic loser'," Rukia mocked Soi to sound like a half retarded man "and now you're going off about how he's all sexy and shit?" Rukia said practically foaming at the mouth.
"I do not sound like that." Soi said coolly. "And calm down drama, I didn't say he was sexy or anything I just said he's not ugly." She shrugged.
"She's got a point." Orihime said looking over at the foaming Rukia.
"Yeah well I'm not buying it..." Rukia said in a determined tone.
GUYS:
"I mean you'd think Ichigo would realize Orhime's like madly in love with him." Hisagi said to Renji.
Renji shrugged and kept on eating his Subway like a pig.
"Hey man," Renji started with his mouth full of food "if you want to talk about crushes, let's talk about you and Soi." Renji said as he did the eyebrow thing while nudging his friend.
Hisagi shrugged "Eh, she's not in to me. I kinda get the vibe sometimes that she hates me..."
"Please man Soi Fon hate a beast like you! Nahhh." The red haired man said in a reassuring tone.
"Is beast a compliment?" The lieutenant asked.
"Duh." Ichigo responded as he sat down on Renji's other side. "And what are we talking about?" The orange haired man asked.
"Hisagi's hopeless love life." Renji responded with his mouth full yet again. Ichigo bursted out in to laughter and Hisagi looked at his friends unamused.
"Ha ha very funny." Hisagi glared at Renji. Renji smiled stupidly in response with the remains of his sub showing all over his teeth. Hisagi made a face of disgust.
"Well if you want to continue the conversation of hopeless love, why don't we point the finger at you, Renji." Hisagi said with a sly smile on his face.
"What are we talking about hopeless love?" A deep masculine voice said entering the barber.
"Chado!" Ichigo shouted.
"And me." Uryu said as he followed Chad in.
"Eh." Ichigo said to the Quincy.
"Gee, don't I feel wanted." Uryu said sarcastically while pushing up his glasses.
"Shh Hisagi's going to bash on Renji." Ichigo said to Chad and Uryu, but mainly meant it for Uryu.
"I heard about what happened with you and Rukia." Hisagi said.
"Nothing happened man! She just fell on me." Renji said as he started to get defensive.
"Riiight or maybe she planned for it to happen because she's been in love with you for like...well ever!" Hisagi spoke with his hands to make things seem more dramatic then they were.
Renji's face turned red and had a little flash back moment.
"You suck Hisagi." Renji said bluntly.
"What? You seriously never noticed it till now? Wow." Hisagi said with his eyes wide and an eyebrow raised.
"Really man she's been throwing you clues for like three years." Chad said as he sided with Hisagi.
"It's true." Uryu added.
"But I mean wouldn't it be weird if we went out...because she's been my friend basically my whole life." Renji said in a thoughtful tone.
"Nah man she's been in love with you like her whole life, so it should be cool." Ichigo reassured him.
Renji was silent for a bit and then decided to 'attack' Ichigo, or as Renji liked to call it open his eyes.
"Hey man and what about you and Orihime?" Renji asked.
"What about her?" Ichigo asked dumbfounded.
"She's like in love with you!" Renji stressed.
"True"
"Yeah"
"Yep"
All the guys agreed as they nodded their heads.
"W-what? Are you guys being serious? Cause if not I'm going to Getsuga Tenshou you guys in to oblivion." Ichigo said in a serious tone of voice.
"No man we're dead serious." Chad responded.
"I never noticed." The orange haired man responded as he put his hand on his head, making it all the more difficult for his barber.
Then it was Ichigo's turn for a little flash back.
"So what are you going to do about it?" The Quincy asked.
"I don't know man." He shrugged.
GIRLS:
"Hey Rukia," Soi started "did you see Yachiru's new post on Facebook?"
"No and why do I care?" Rukia responded while looking at her nails.
"It's about you and the red head." The little captain said with a sly smile as she waved her phone in the air.
Rukia took no time in attacking the phone, she dove for it like she was playing volleyball. She had no luck obtaining the object though, the captain was too fast for her.
Soi read the post aloud while easily dodging Rukia as she tried to get her phone.
"Hey people this just in, Rukia Kuchiki and Renji Abari were recently seen together? Oh I didn't know you and the red head were a thing?" Soi said in a tauntingly innocent voice.
"We're not! Yachiru just likes making up useless rumors, you know that." Rukia tried to convince her.
"B-but Rukia don't you like Renji? You told me that you wanted to-"
As soon as Orihime opened her mouth Rukia dove for her, luckily she covered her mouth in time for the...well let's just say things that shouldn't be repeated.
"No, no let the girl speak." Soi said in a mocking tone. Rukia glared back at the captain.
"So what I like him." Rukia admitted. "At least I'm not ashamed to admit it."
"Ohhhh buuuurrrnnnn. You got burned so hard Soi you need ice for it. Haha just kidding" Rangiku said as she joined in on the conversation.
Soi glared at her not knowing how to respond to the insult like sentence.
"Hey guys guess what!" Rangiku said in her naturally happy tone.
"What?"
"Hm?"
-Glare-
"My sister's visiting!"
"Oh great there's another one." Soi said as she rolled her eyes.
"We're twins!"
"Even better..." The captain said sarcastically as she sunk in to her chair.
"Oh wow! I've always wanted a sister." Orihime said with a dreamy look on her face.
"Oh everyone needs one they're absolutely wonderful!" Rangiku shouted.
"I wouldn't know." Rukia started " I only have a brother." She shuddered (In my story Byakuya is Rukia's older brother).
"What's her name Rangiku?" Orihime asked.
"Kandy!" The strawberry blonde said excitedly.
"How original." Soi said continuing on with her sarcasm.
"Oh you'll love her! She's wonderful!"
"If she's anything like you...I doubt it." The captain rolled her eyes.
"When's she coming?" The healer asked.
"Tonight!"
