I entered the darkened hall off of the terminal and cast my gaze around, looking for my love. There he was, leaning against the wall in his leather jacket. A shaft of moonlight illuminated his eyes. I fell into him, hugging him and kissing him sweetly.
"Dom, obligations are stupid."
"I know, he sighed, "Let's just have this, okay?"
"And last week, I won't forget that." Dom smiled.
"Nope." We kissed again. Longer and deeper, full of passion and melancholy. Still, it was bliss, Dom holding me to him like I would float away if he let go, me cupping his face as if I'd never see it or touch it again. We broke apart, leaving me breathless. Dom regarded me, love in his eyes.
"Take me home," I pleaded longingly.
"I wish I could." I loved him so much. I wanted him so much. I sighed.
"My plane leaves in an hour, and I have to get through Customs. I…should go." I nodded.
"Have fun traipsing around Europe."
"I will. Love you."
"Love you too," I replied. He left.
3 weeks later
I heard the hotel door open and beamed like a child. Surprises were fun. I heard Dom walk closer to the bedroom part of the suite. I adjusted my position, turning on my side and putting my leg up. I think the creak of the bed drew him in.
"Scarlet! How did you even get here?" A huge surprised smile spread across his face.
"Hey, stranger. A few days ago my friend who has a private jet called. She owed me a favor." Dom picked me up and spun me.
"But what about the lab?" he asked.
"They won't want me. I'm 'sick'," said when I got my head back. Dom chuckled.
"This is great. Amazing. I love you!"
"I love you too. So what are we gonna do now?"
"What do you wanna do?" Dom replied temptingly.
"Make up for lost time."
