(A/N:) This is a random One-shot. Set after The Battle of the Labyrinth. Please Enjoy! R&R
Annabeth sat in her cabin and pondered every possibility. The same question kept rolling off her tongue and swirling around her head; Why? Why am I feeling this way? Up until now, she had never experienced this feeling before. Like she couldn't stand it to be apart from him for more than 2 hours. But, it wasn't like he was making it easy for her anyways.
His messy, black hair. She suddenly had the urge to run to his cabin, at this unruly hour of 1:00 in the morning, and run her fingers through his hair. She silently scolded herself for that thought. He was her best friend! This was all wrong. She had never paid any attention to the opposite gender. It wasn't her top priority while she was training all those years. Not up until that quirky, black haired, 12 year-old showed up.
His striking, sea-green eyes. When Annabeth looked into them she felt like she could lose her very soul, just by getting trapped in those green orbs for so long. The bright aura that they gave off made her feel immediate comfort.
Why does he have to be so perfectly imperfect? She refused to admit that she had a crush. No. She had intelligence worthy of Athena. She wasn't going to be like those daughters of Aphrodite, no that wasn't her. But, little did she know, she was starting to understand what it was like to love someone.
Love.
She played with the word as she said it aloud. What if? What if she was utterly in love. What if she was consumed with images of her best friend. Would it really be that bad? The girl grunted in frustration. At that point, she didn't even care that her cabin was filled with her sleeping siblings. She slowly got up and slipped out the door. The fresh summer air filled her lungs. She gazed across, looking at the Poseidon cabin.
Oh Percy. Why do you do this to me?
Yeah, I know. Its short. Oh well! Please review!
