The Doctor and his companions Amy and Rory Pond have ended up in a newly-merged universe shared by another galaxy's greatest hero: Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. But The Doctor and his friends aren't the only ones to have stepped into this world as it turns out. Somehow, The Daleks have managed to alter history, causing both The Doctor and Buzz's Universes to merge in a world where The Daleks have come across the race known as The Chlorm, native to Buzz's Universe. The Daleks struck a deal with the Chlorm to round up every living being and put them through a hunting tournament where they try to survive The Daleks. Then, the new deadly unification supposedly made a deal with XL, Gravitina, and Zurg; only to end up betraying them and taking off to conquer Planet Z before taking this new universe! And when Zurg tries to reach out to Buzz for help, Team Lightyear's leader flat-out refuses him. The Doctor convinces Captain Lightyear to help by showing him that if not stopped, The Chlorm/Dalek Alliance will conquer EVERY world. With this knowledge, Buzz has agreed to meet his enemies to discuss a plan of action. With Zurg in need of more power, The Doctor, Amy, and Rory traveled back in time to when Zurg had implanted his consciousness into every being in his galaxy, and steal a power cell that should do the trick. With Team Lightyear and Star Command's rouges finishing up the improvements to 42 in the present, can the united teams stop The Dalek/Chlorm alliance before they reach Planet Z and plunder all the resources to make them unbeatable?
42, The Present...
The Doctor and Zurg watched as The TARDIS re-materialized before their eyes.
Once it had fully returned, The Doctor stepped out happily, followed by Amy and Rory who were carrying a crystallic fusion cell.
"Success!" The Doctor said, cheerfully.
"I never thought I'd see the day I'd actually be grateful for helping Zurg." Buzz said, taking the battery from The Ponds.
"That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Zurg said, sarcastically.
"Doctor…" Buzz asked, "If you wouldn't mind assisting me and XR with this?"
"Of course, Captain Lightyear." The Doctor replied, turning to the Ponds.
"Why don't you wait up front?" The Doctor asked with a cheerful grin.
The Ponds nodded and left as Buzz and The Doctor got to work.
Mira, XL, Gravitina, Booster, XR, Amy, and Rory watched as Buzz and The Doctor entered the front of the ship followed by Zurg.
"Okay," The Doctor said, clapping his hands together, "We've got good news, and we've got bad news. But there's good news that comes after the bad news, though."
"What?" Mira asked.
"Well," Zurg explained, "This upgrade to my systems works 100% and we've managed to refit this ship to something more…likely to stand up against this combined fleet."
"The bad news," Buzz picked up, "Is that even with the upgrades to 42, she's still not powerful enough to catch up with the Chlorom/Dalek Alliance before it reaches Planet Z."
"Then it's…it's over?" Booster asked.
"Not quite, my friends!" The Doctor smiled, "We still have a way of getting on-board their main flagship! That's using my TARDIS to bend the rules to our will. We'll go inside the Dalek/Chlorom flagship, disable their engines, and then 42 can catch up and we can get rid of the Daleks."
"Your blue box against that army?" Gravitina asked, "Sounds very unlikely that the odds will be in our favor."
"Oh, ye of little faith." The Doctor said sarcastically, "This 'little blue box' is more powerful than you think and has gotten me out of scraps more than once before in any of my lives."
"I agree." Buzz said, "It's our best chance of stopping this alliance. So we're getting ready to board soon. Everybody prepare yourselves."
"Sorry, Ponds." The Doctor apologized, "But this is going to be too risky for the both of you to come along on."
"WHAT?!" Amy and Rory demanded, simultaneously.
"I'm sorry." The Doctor apologized, "But it's…you know how I feel about you two. I don't want to lose either of you."
"Sorry, Doctor." Amy said, defiantly, "But we're also your mother-and-father-in-laws, so we get to decide if we come or not. Whether you like it or not."
The Doctor looked at the ground and then smiled back at them.
"Fair enough." He grinned, "Sorry, Captain Lightyear. They're coming with us."
"If you insist, Doctor." Buzz groaned.
Soon enough, the team was set. The Doctor, Amy, Rory, Buzz, Mira, XL, Graitina, and Zurg would be boarding the TARDIS to go to the Dalek/Chlorom Alliance Flagship while Booster and XR would stay behind to fly 42 over to the ship, and be prepared in the worst case scenario to retreat in case the mission was a failure and report to Star Command.
Buzz had insisted that Amy and Rory bring some kind of protective weapons, but The Doctor was keen to say no.
"Guns make you stupid." He said.
Soon enough, the away group was gathered outside The TARDIS, and the Doctor opened the doors.
Needless to say, those who hadn't been onboard already were shocked.
"What is this?!" Mira asked.
"Interesting bit of hardware you got here, Doctor." XL stated, "Is this some kind of dimension stabilizer to separate the inside from the out?"
"As a matter-of-fact-yes-it-is!" The Doctor said, giving two thumbs up as he shut the doors, "Always a pleasure to meet someone who's already a couple steps ahead of the game!"
"Hey!" Amy called.
"Now, then…" The Doctor stated, "Let's go to the place. The Dalek/Chlorom Alliance Flagship…here we come!"
With that, he pulled the lever and the TARDIS began takeoff. Soon enough, it stopped again, and The Doctor and the others exited the ship to find themselves in a dark hallway. Both universe inhabitants recognized that the ship had Chlorom technology mixed with Dalek technology all along the walls.
"Well," The Doctor noted, "They've been busy."
"How come we haven't been detected?" Buzz asked.
"Oh, Captain Lightyear," The Doctor grinned, "This old ship has been in and out of places faster than you can say…"
Before The Doctor could finish, a red alarm started flashing and a Dalek voice was heard over the intercom.
"AL-ERT! AL-ERT! TAR-DIS-DE-TECTED! EX-TER-MI-NATE! EX-TER-MI-NATE!"
"Bowties are cool." The Doctor whispered, before turning to everyone.
"RUN!" He declared.
Everyone did as they were told. Soon enough, they were being shot at by Dalek energy beams. They turned back to see two Daleks and two Chlorom whom were both augmented with Dalek technology.
As they turned a corner to the right however, a blast hit the ceiling above them, causing everything to come crashing down.
The Doctor coughed and saw that he, Buzz, and Zurg had managed to escape the blast.
"PONDS!" The Doctor called out.
"We're okay, Doctor!" Amy called out, as they heard two lazer blasts, "We're stuck on this side, but Mira's taken out those Daleks and Chlorom."
"Can you find a way through?" Buzz asked.
"I'm afraid not." Mira stated.
"Okay," The Doctor said, "New plan, you lot go to disable the engines, and we'll go and take care of the Head Dalek. We'll call to let you know when to return to the TARDIS."
"Got it." Mira said.
"Good luck, Ponds!" The Doctor called, leaving them.
On the other side of the debris…
"Mr. and Mrs. Pond?" Mira asked, "A moment, please?"
Amy and Rory walked over as Mira took out two small blasters.
"You'll need this for protection," She explained, "Don't worry, these won't kill. They're just on stun mode. But you'll need something to protect yourselves with. To use it, you just pull down on that red trigger."
"Okay…" Amy said, a bit unsure as she and Rory took one each.
"We're not trained marksmen." Rory admitted.
"Just do the best you can," Mira told them, sounding as assuring as she could, "We only have one goal, after all."
With that, they began walking towards their destination.
Buzz and Zurg followed The Doctor who continued to wave his sonic screwdriver, checking it every so often.
"You know where we're heading?" Buzz asked.
"Oh, yes." The Doctor said, "I've never been lost before. Well, except for that time I accidently got those two bothersome schoolteachers and my Granddaughter lost in the Caveman era. And there was that time I accidently held the kite for Ben Franklin and got myself electrocuted. Then there's the time with Christopher Columbus, oh, that man had a lot to answer for, let me tell you…"
Suddenly, The Doctor trailed off as he looked out into a large area from the side of the wall they were on.
"Oh no…" He said, softly.
"What?" Buzz asked.
He and Zurg peaked over and gasped.
Outside was an arena housing a bunch of Chlorom. On a large screen TV there was a display from the arena bellow which showed many different species being hunted by The Daleks.
"My god…" Buzz whispered.
"This can't go on!" Zurg exclaimed, "Nobody but me can be that evil!"
"Patience." The Doctor stated, "Now, if I'm not mistaking, the head Dalek will be right through that door, so we can…"
"Oh, great…" The Doctor groaned.
Meanwhile, In the Engine Room…
The other group had made its way down to the engine rooms, and were ready to sabotage the engines.
There was just one problem, though.
"That's a lot of Daleks and Chlorom." Rory pointed out, while they all peaked from around the corner, "The question of course, is…how do we stop them?"
"I have something I can use," XL stated, "It'll basically disable those engines if I can get close enough to that computer."
He motioned to one that a Chlorom with Dalek parts was operating on.
"I'll keep close cover around you," Mira said, "Gravitina, Mr. and Mrs. Pond, you'll need to be our back-up. Just keep firing on the Daleks and Chlorom. Don't let them focus on us, draw their attention to yourselves, and remember to keep out of the way."
"We'll do our best." Amy said.
"Don't worry about that." Mira said, "Just keep them distracted."
She turned back to the door.
"Get ready on three. One…two…THREE!"
With that, she rushed over to the computer with XL. Before the Daleks and Chlorom could respond, Gravitina used her powers to push a Dalek into a Chlrom. At the same time, Amy and Rory both opened fire, hitting one Dalek and one Chlorom respectively.
"EX-TER-MI-NATE THE ATTACKERS!" A Dalek yelled.
Meanwhile, Mira and XL had reached the computer. XL took out a CD from his chest and inserted it into the computer.
"Uh…" Amy asked, shooting another Chlorom worriedly, "How much longer?!"
"Give it another second…" XL Stated, "And…"
Suddenly, the ship lurched, as the Daleks and Chlorom tipped over.
"Good!" Mira exclaimed, turning to the others, "NOW BACK TO THAT TARDIS!"
Everyone left quickly.
Meanwhile, Back in the Arena…
"So this is what you've been doing with these people?" The Doctor asked, as he Buzz, and Zurg were surrounded by three Daleks and three Chlorom, "Using them in some sporting game? You know, I'm regretting giving Suzanne Collins the idea for her book now when I took her to that Gladiator world…"
"This is the Time Lord?" A Chlorom asked, suspiciously, "My, he does talk a lot."
"Thank you," The Doctor said, sarcastically, "I find talking helps with a lot of places. It helps when I'm feeling lonely, it helps when I want to feel good about myself, and it helps when I want to let species like you know that you are making a very big mistake."
He turned to the Daleks.
"I don't suppose they've told you about what happens when they usually get together with others, do they?" He asked.
Suddenly, the ship lurched as everyone held their footing.
"EX-PLAIN-THIS, DOC-TOR!" A Dalek declared.
"I'd say your time's up." The Doctor said.
He noted that there was a flying camera capturing the footage of him, Buzz, and Zurg being arrested, so he lifted his sleeve to reveal words written in black permanent marker on his arm.
"WHAT-IS-THE-MEAN-ING-OF-THIS?!" The Dalek demanded, "EX-PLAIN! EX-PLAIN!"
"Sorry, boys." The Doctor grinned, as Buzz activated a reflective mirror, "But you've just been duped."
With that, The Doctor swiped a pair of gold aviator glasses from his shirt pocket and put them over his eyes.
"What are you doing?!" A Chlorom asked.
"These are aviator glasses." The Doctor said, "I wear aviator glasses now. Aviator glasses are cool. And so is this…"
Suddenly, there was a bright flash that engulfed the entire area. The Daleks and the Chlorom let out screams, as they had been blinded by the bright flash.
"Buzz?" Booster's voice asked, over his arm communicator, "Are you okay?"
"Your timing could not be better, Booster!" Buzz grinned.
"Good," XR stated, "Because the Dalek/Chlorom fleet saw us do that and they're coming back."
"Get away and keep them from Planet Z." Buzz ordered.
"Got it." Booster stated.
"Good luck," Buzz said, "Buzz Lightyear over and out."
The Doctor looked at the blinded aliens and smiled.
"I warned you," He stated, "You did this…"
He then motioned for Zurg and Buzz to follow him towards a big metallic door.
"That Booster of yours was quite resourceful in making that Flash-Device on 42," The Doctor said to Buzz admiringly, "He'd make an interesting companion."
"DON'T. THINK ABOUT IT." Buzz said, but then shrugged, "Although I'll give you this, Doctor, I'm surprised that invention worked after all."
"Yes…" The Doctor stated, "Well, that aside, we just have The Supreme Dalek here to deal with."
"And what should that be like?" Zurg asked.
"I'd say something like that." The Doctor said, as the doors opened.
The three looked inside and saw The Supreme Dalek Commander. It was encased inside a large tube with water, and looked like a million-year-old dried skin, with octopus-like tentacles that seemed equally dried out, and a large eyeball in the center. The tank was surrounded by the same encasing The Daleks used.
"WELCOME, DOCTOR." The Supreme Dalek declared, "WE HAVE BEEN EXPECTING YOU."
"Yes," The Doctor smiled, adjusting his bowtie, as he and the other two walked towards the being, "Yes, well, you know me. I'm not one to disappoint. Well, with the exception of you lot that is."
"THIS IS THE ARROGANCE OF THE TIME LORDS."
"Yeah," The Doctor said, "And I'm the only one left meaning I'm going to stop you. How did you even get here anyways?"
"THE DALEKS SENSED A TRANSMISSION FROM ANOTHER REALITY." The Supreme Dalek explained, as The Doctor silently activated the sonic screwdriver behind his back, "WE SENSED THE CHLOROM FROM THIS UNIVERSE, AND LEARNED OF THEIR ARROGANCE IN CAPTURING THOSE LESSER THAN THEM. WE MADE ARRANGEMENTS TO CROSS REALITIES AND CAME HERE TO LURE THEM INTO A FALSE SENSE OF SECURITY. WE THEN PLANNED TO HARVEST THE RESOURCES OF PLANET Z TO BUILD A DIMENSION TRANSPORT SO THAT THE DALEKS WILL BECOME THE SUPREME MASTERS OF ALL UNIVERSES!"
"Well, thank you very much, Mr. Head-Honcho Dalek." The Doctor said, "But I'm afraid that your ship's disabled, your soldiers down, and I've been recording this on a device in my pocket."
He pulled out a Dictaphone from his pocket and showed it to them.
"How do you keep all that stuff in there?" Zurg asked.
"My pockets are bigger on the inside, Mr. Emperor." The Doctor grinned.
"YOU WILL CEASE TALKING!" The Supreme Dalek declared, "THIS CHANGES NOTHING! I WILL DESTROY YOU AND FROM YOUR DEMISE, I SHALL BUILD THE NEW DALEK EMPIRE ON TOP OF YOU!"
The Supreme Dalek's bottom part suddenly opened up and out from within came a giant Dalek gun stick.
"YOUR MISCHEIF WITH THE FLASH ATTACK MIGHT HAVE BLINDED MY SOLDIERS!" The Supreme Dalek declared, "BUT I AM MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY OF YOU COMBINDED!"
"This is your last chance to surrender." The Doctor warned.
The Supreme Dalek suddenly stopped. It couldn't move at all, as The Doctor grinned.
"That ought to keep you quiet for a while." The Doctor explained, motioning for Zurg to come over, "Now, let's see what we can do here."
The Doctor ripped open a control panel on the Supreme Dalek and waved his sonic screwdriver inside, before moving it back at Zurg.
"And with that…" The Doctor said.
"I have it back!" Zurg declared, "I have all of my codes back!"
Suddenly, there was a blast that rocked the ship.
"What was that?!" Buzz asked.
"Just setting Planet Z's defenses back on." Zurg explained, "So I suggest we move back to your TARDIS, Doctor, seeing as we have only 10 Minutes before the defenses completely blow the ship apart."
"MIRA!" Buzz said, into his communicator, "Where are you?!"
"We're at the TARDIS," She explained, over the communicator link, "What's happening?!"
"We've got 10 minutes before the ship blows up!" The Doctor explained, "We're coming in so hang tight."
"What….?!" Mira asked before Buzz silenced her.
The Doctor then waved his sonic at the arena as the gates opened up and the masses of people began pouring out and running up towards The Doctor.
"Come along, folks!" The Doctor explained, "We gotta move!"
The Doctor, Zurg, and Buzz had made it back to the TARDIS. Amy, Rory, Mira, Gravitina, and XL were already waiting when they saw the three being followed by the prisoners.
"In you go!" The Doctor declared, "And don't comment about the size! There's room enough for you all! Just go!"
All the prisoners piled in, and were then followed by Amy, Rory, Gravitina, Mira, XL, Zurg, Buzz, and finally, The Doctor. He shut the doors, and quickly worked the console controls.
"HERE WE GO!" He declared, "GERONIMO!"
With that, The TARDIS disappeared just as the ship blew up.
The Doctor, Amy, and Rory, watched as Zurg was let free. Per the agreement, Zurg had been given a 5-Minute head-start to get away. Buzz was fine with that. He knew this wouldn't be the last time he'd see Zurg. Just as The Doctor knew that while he did stop the Daleks, this wouldn't be the last time he'd see them. At least they'd be gone from this universe now.
Speaking of which, in the aftermath of the Dalek/Chlorom alliance, The Chlorom had miraculously survived, but were detained by Star Command where they would answer for their crimes.
Still, The Doctor saved all the prisoners and Star Command was already sending them back home to help with recovers. All and all, it was a good days work, and The Doctor's work here was done.
As they watched Zurg's ship disappear, the three went up next to Captain Lightyear.
"Captain Lightyear," The Doctor explained, "Seeing as how things are getting back to normal around here, we should be off."
"Just one question, Doctor." Buzz asked, as Mira, XR, and Booster joined him, "Will any traces of your universe still be here when you leave?"
"Yes and no." The Doctor grinned, "With The Daleks gone, and the parts they fused to the Chlorom being removed, I'd say to give your history records another look once they've all been removed. I think you'll find then that all traces of my 5th Incarnations incursion onwards will be permanently gone from your history. However, the memories that we physically experienced here today. Those are ours to keep. For better or for worst."
"Well, then." Buzz stated, as the three approached The TARDIS, "I hope that you don't mind me saying that I hope we never cross paths again after what you've show us, Doctor."
He then shook The Doctor's hand as The Doctor returned the favor.
"Nonetheless, I'm happy that our paths did cross even with everything that's happened."
"Indeed, Captain Lightyear." The Doctor smiled, "Indeed."
"Bye!" Amy waved as The Doctor shut the doors.
"So that's it?" Rory asked, "We can go home?"
"Exactly, right, Rory the Roman!" The Doctor grinned, "We've made sure there are no traces of The Daleks in this universe so our universe will take us back happily now!"
He turned and smiled.
"All the while, I'd say this was an adventure of pure infinity…and beyond." He winked.
