Underneath The Starry Sky
Disclaimer: I'm getting sick of all these disclaimers. No, I don't own DP. Yes, I'm not a male.
The night was black, diamond-like figures shining high in space. There was not one single sound to be heard that night. No crickets chirping, no winds howling, nothing at all. But the silence was comforting. It had a sense of peace and tranquility buried in it.
In Amity Park, two figures could be seen resting on the grass, gazing up onto the stars that shone bright that night. One figure looked feminine, the other more masculine. They were lying down; not too far apart, not too close. The boy could be previously seen pointing at the stars above, connecting them and pointing out other constellations to his companion. The girl just listened with interest, her fascination at his knowledge shown on her face.
Everything had been perfect. They had finished patrolling but alas, their friend Tucker had left quite some time earlier. Although they were both unknowingly grateful they were alone together.
"Sam?" the icy-blue eyed boy finally spoke, breaking the silence.
The boy carefully chose his next words. "Do you really think that our eyes are the window to the soul?"
She seemed to ponder the answer before making up her mind. "Random question. But I'm not really sure. What made you ask that?" The violet eyed girl asked, her curiosity growing.
Hesitating, he then says "I was wondering what you see when you look into mine."
She raised an eyebrow at the question. "Well, look at me now." the teen said.
The two sat up Indian-style, looking at each other's faces with no trouble. The girl squinted her eyes as she looked into icy blue orbs.
The violet eyed girl pretended to contemplating an answer. "I see... I see ...me!" She said, flashing him a cheeky grin. Danny rolled his eyes with a chuckle.
"Sam, I'm serious!" He scolded her playfully.
The two teen's eyes met, not noticing their close intimacy. They seemed to be in a trance as if they were stuck in a dream. When violet met baby blue. Staring in each other's orbs for what seemed like hours, they never noticed how their lips were only inches away as they were blissfully unaware of their surroundings. Or how a nearby bush had a tinge of red on top of it and clicks sounding.
Lips soon collided, and sparks flew instantly. A warm sensation spread their bodies. They felt like they were literally on fire; the good kind. The longing they had for one another had been replaced with love. It was only minutes, but it felt like an eternity.
They gasped for air as they slowly moved apart. "Wow." They both said, still panting. "So...what'd ya see?" Danny asked her.
Sam smiled. "I saw a boy who's a hero. Someone brave, selfless, loyal, and always putting other people's well-being ahead of his own. And I saw the boy I've loved since I met him."
"What I saw was a girl. Someone who was beautiful, smart, unique, caring, someone who believed that everything and everyone has something beautiful inside. The very girl I fell in love with, an shall forever hold my heart." He said, lovingly gazing at her.
The said girl blushed as red as a scarlet cherry. The duo lay back down, but unlike earlier, into each other's arms.
"Does this mean you'll be my girlfriend?" He black haired boy asked his friend. She rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Of course I would! You'd have to be an idiot to think not after ...that." She said before blushing like mad again.
A silence fell on the couple once more as they fell asleep, smiles creeping onto their faces.
The scene then shifted to the nearby bush mentioned earlier. It just so happened to be our dear friend, Tucker's hiding place. The African-American boy grinned. "This is gold!" He exclaimed as he examined the pictures and videos taken. "Now I'll win the bet for sure with these babies!"
