Another filler chapter. To be quite honest, I'm very new to writing Belarus, so I'm just experimenting a little. The plot will come, though. I promise.
Disclaimer: Hetalia belongs to Hidekaz Himaruya. I own only the plot.
Misunderstood
Chapter 4
The move to Kiev was shorter and easier than Natalia had expected. But the girl hated it. She couldn't see why Ivan and Katyusha were so excited about it. Traveling reminded Natalia of not having a home. It reminded her of the fact that she had moved from orphanage to orphanage all her life. Moving was scary. She never knew what to expect.
Putting a happy face on, the silverette jumped out the car and ran up to the door. She turned around excitedly. "Mama Mama!"
Svetlana smiled at her daughter from above the large box she was carrying. "Yes снежинка?"
"Open the door please!" Natalia requested. She then tried to open the door, which failed since she was too short to get a proper grasp on the door handle. Natalia turned around, looked at Svetlana, and then pouted. "I can't get it, Mama." Svetlana giggled a little. She propped the box up on her knee, and using her free hand she opened the door.
"There you go~" Svetlana sang.
Natalia cheered and ran inside the house. It was smaller than the one in Moscow, but still very nice. Running up the stair-case Natalia noticed that they had a large cage here next to the doorway to the living room. She slowed down and stopped to stare at it. Why on Earth would they need a cage?
Her question was quickly answered as she heard the sound of the back door opening. A series of barks echoed throughout the house, and three little puppies came running into the living room. Natalia squealed in delight. Puppies! She had always wanted a pet.
Natalia ran back down the stairs and up to the puppies. They started running around her feet, barking wildly in an attempt to get her attention. The Belorussian girl giggled and reached down to pick one up. She closed her eyes and when she opened them, the smallest puppy was licking her face.
"No, no!" Natalia said sternly. She placed the puppy back on the floor. The pup tilted its head, still wagging its tail. Pointing at the animal like you would when disciplining a child, Natalia scolded the the puppy. "We don't lick faces! It tickles!"
The dog completely ignored this and jumped into Natalia's lap only to begin licking her face again. "Aaah!" She shrieked.
"Aww! Puppies!"
Natalia turned her head away from the puppy to see Katyusha and Ivan choosing their own puppies. Katyusha had the biggest one and was telling it how cute it was and how it was just so fluffy! Ivan was trying to calm his puppy down. The little dog just kept bouncing all around the place.
Katyusha turned to Natalia. Her dog sat in her lap, wagging its tail and sticking its tongue out. "So have you decided what to name yours?"
"Are we allowed to name them?" Natalia questioned. Really, she wasn't even too sure whether or not they were allowed to be playing with them. Nikolai and Svetlana hadn't came in to say anything about it, but still..
Ivan nodded. "Nikolai said so when Katyusha and I came in." He smiled down at his puppy. "I want to name him George."
Katyusha laughed. "George? Ha ha ha. It sounds funny when you say it like that!"
"Gee-or-gea?" Natalia tried saying. She had never heard that name before.
Ivan laughed and patted her head. "Yes, his name is George."
"Well it looks like you've all found your new pets." Svetlana said walking into the room. She smiled at the children. "Have you named them yet?"
Ivan shook his head. "Nyet, but I've decided this is George." The 7 year-old held his puppy up. George squirmed around and barked. Ivan put him back down on his lap.
Holding her puppy up, Katyusha smiled and said, "This is Boris!"
Natalia frowned and looked at her puppy. Tilting her head she asked, "Is this a boy or a girl?"
"Let me see," Svetlana said. Natalia handed her the dog. Svetlana looked at the puppy, who had its tongue sticking out. She snorted. It looked hilarious. The brunette placed the puppy down on the floor. "She's a girl."
Natalia nodded, "I see. Then her name shall be Kitti." She said this with a look of complete seriousness on her face. Svetlana and Katyusha began laughing.
"That's adorable." Katyusha said.
"And rather, unique." Svetlana added.
