"Honestly Dylan! You got enough stuff?" Brian Rosenthal called out to his good friend, seeing the large suitcases stacked by the front door of his apartment.
"Sorry, bro! I probably don't need the purple suitcase!" Dylan called back which made Brian roll his eyes.
"The purple one is the smallest!" Brian shouted, waiting for Dylan's answer. "Dylan?"
Dylan appeared after coming out of the bathroom with his hair soaked and dripping onto his now dark green shirt. Brian looked at his friend with his eyebrows raised.
"Um, you need to fix your shower head... Did you know it comes off?" Dylan whispers, brushing a piece of hair off his face.
"Yeah, the shower's supposed to do that... There's a reason the head is attached to a metal cord..." Brian gasped, trying not to let his laugh come out.
"What kind of shower is that?!" Dylan huffed at his friend and unzipped the biggest suitcase he had. He pulled out a towel and began to dry his hair off.
"Why do you have a suitcase full of towels?!" Brian yelled at his friend who just laughed and closed the suitcase up.
"You're right, I probably don't need that one." Dylan smirked, picked up his small purple suitcase, a bigger red suitcase and glanced at the largest one before following Brian out of the apartment.
AUGUST 4TH, 2026. 9:45 AM.
"Joseph Walker, so help me!" Lauren shouted as she jumped to try and reach her suitcase which Joe had put on the top shelf of the wardrobe they were sharing. Julia and Jaime giggled at their friend and helped her get the suitcase down.
"You'd have thought you would have grown in the past 16 years..." Jaime said and sat down on the couch provided.
"Do shut up now! It's not my fault!" Lauren told her friend and playfully hit her arm.
"Where do you think the guys have gone?" Julia asks and sits down her friends. They both shrug and go back to talking. "I'm going to have a little look around," Julia got up and left the room, leaving Lauren and Jaime while they were choosing a movie to watch.
Rain had come back a while ago and agreed to go out again with Julia in order to stay away from her mother for a while. The two of them awkwardly made their way down to the lobby in silence.
"Wanna check out the gift shop?" Julia asked Rain and the younger girl looked down and then nodded her head a little. "Are you usually this talkative?"
"Sorry, it was a long flight." Rain apologised for her quietness and followed Julia in the small shop. As they turned a corner, Julia saw someone she hadn't seen in a very long time. He had a younger boy and girl by his side and his hair was messy.
"Joey?" She asked in surprised and he turned around to look at his friend.
"Julia?" He replied, a wave of shock coming over him.
"Dad, I don't like this top," Another voice said and a younger boy who looked similar to Joey emerged from behind a curtain. The boy had dark hair and the same coloured skin as Joey but his eyes were a bright blue. "Dad? Da-" The boy said and turned to see Julia and Rain standing there. The young boy's blue eyes immediately met Rain's brown eyes and he slowly studied her. He looked back up at her and saw she was staring at him too but she quickly looked away, her cheeks going red. Julia realised the boy wasn't wearing a shirt and was holding a piece of red material in his hands.
"Julia!" Joey finally said and ran forward to hug his friend.
"Joey!" She replied and they wrapped each other a hug.
"Sorry! Right, these are my kids. Zac, Leah and Jake," Joey explained, gesturing to each child as he introduced them. Julia swore she could see Rain's eyes light up as Joey introduced the shirtless boy. "This is your...?"
"No! Oh gosh! No, this is Rain, she's Lo and Walker's kid!" Jake smiled at Rain and his cheeks went a slight red colour. He wasn't... flirting with her?
"Lo and Walker are here?!" Joey practically shouted, jumping up and down.
"And Jaime and Darren," Rain spoke up.
"DARREN IS HERE?!" Joey screamed and ran to the elevator where the others followed him. "Wait, where is here exactly?" Joey asked and Julia laughed as she pressed the button to take them to the floor they were all staying on.
