"So in the end, he likes Rukia," Orihime said sadly as she watched the two couple leaving her behind.

"Did you say something, Orihime?" Ichigo asked curiously.

"Not at all. I'll catch up to you guys," Orihime promised him as she turned the other way.

The skies were dark gray, indicating it was going rain later in the day. The weather was a low sixties although it was early autumn.

When Ichigo and Rukia were out of sight, Orihime let the tears roll down her cheek as it shined. She wanted to run. Run away from that terrible scene.

It wasn't them holding hands. It was because of a hollow had appear and it was chasing her. Orihime couldn't see well enough because rain started to pour from the stormy sky. The heavy rain continued to blur her version as she picked up her pace.

Tired of running, she tripped over something that stained her jeans and almost broke her ankle. She fell on her side with the soaked and cold street. The roar of the hollow was getting closer and closer towards its target.

"You can run but you can't hide!" The sinister voice told its prey.

Orihime had to agree with the hollow, it was too strong for her. She was only good at healing and martial arts but she wanted to improve so she can help Ichigo and the others in the future. Orihime couldn't even feel her legs or body.

But I won't be home again,

Maybe someday you'll look up,

And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one:

"Isn't something missing?"

Orihime just wanted to be long gone from existence, she started to have negative feelings as it began to consume her alive.

Not waiting for her death to arrive, she began to close her gray eyes halfway before she can close her eyes all way down she saw a flash of red before her. Someone with crimson red hair that was in a ponytail. Her eyes drooped a little, a teen boy that stood six two compared to her five two wore a shihakusho. (1) She didn't get a good look at him due to the heavy rain blurring her vision and without warning her world went pitch black.

You won't cry for my absence, I know,
You forgot me long ago,

Am I that unimportant?

Am I so insignificant?

Isn't something missing?

Isn't someone missing me?

Chorus:

Even though I'm the sacrifice,

You won't try for me, not now.

Though I'd die to know you love me,

I'm all alone,

Isn't someone missing me?

Within minutes, the hollow that was chasing Orihime was long gone. Renji sighed as he sheathed his Zanpakuto back in its sheath, he arrived in the World of the Living for some mission. It wasn't Renji's day at all. He mumbled to himself about Rukia dating a mere substitute Soul Reaper. What a pity. He turned his attention to a human teen girl, his brown eyes squinted as he waded through the ankle length puddles. He squat down to her level and examined her pretty face.

This was the Orihime person Rukia spoke of. He gently shook her by the shoulder.

"Wake up, you'll catch cold if you lay there," he told her.

Orihime began to groan softly as she began to stir a little. She rubbed the bump on her head as she opened her gray eyes.

"Wha-What are you doing here?" Orihime asked.

Please, please forgive me,

But I won't be home again,

I know what you do to yourself,

I breathe out and cry out,

"Isn't something missing?

Isn't someone missing me?"

"I have a task here in the World of the Living," Renji said. "And some cooling down of my own you could say." His brown eyes drooping down a bit.

"I see. Well, have you heard that Ichigo is dating well um," Orihime began to say.

"Dating Rukia? Yeah, I know. It hurts me a lot," he put in.

"You heard it about too? I guess we're even then." Orihime let the rain drench her.

"Come on, you head on home. You'll catch cold if you don't," Renji reminded her.
"What about you?"

"I guess I need shelter." He rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

"You know you can stay at my place if you like," Orihime offered.

"Really? You would that for me?" Renji asked hopefully.

"Of course."

The two later headed onto Orihime's house. The heavy rainstorm was slowly toning down.

[Chorus:]

And if I bleed, I'll bleed,

Knowing you don't care.

And if I sleep just to dream of you,

I'll wake without you there,

Isn't something missing?

Isn't missing...

[Chorus]

Even though I'm the sacrifice,

You won't try for me, not now,

Though I'd die to know you love me

I'm all alone,

Isn't something missing?

Isn't someone missing me?
