This is a sad little fluffy ficlet I wrote about Sherlock and his Violin. Be warned many feels!
John slowly trudged up to the room where he had slept nearly all day since Sherlock died. He had fallen into such a mechanical life now. All of his days were exactly the same more or less. He didn't even need to look where he was going as he went to go into his room at 221B Baker Street. Suddenly he tripped. After he had gotten up slowly he looked down to see what he had tripped over. It was Sherlock's violin case. He assumed it was Mrs. Hudson's attempt to get him to go through Sherlock's stuff. He would yell at her later, when he had more energy. It seemed that he didn't have much energy lately. Angry with Sherlock, Mrs. Hudson and himself he suddenly decided to threw the violin case out the window. Realizing what he had done, he ran into his room and buried his head in his pillow. He would wake up the next morning like that and wouldn't even bother to change his clothes for work.
Sherlock was bored. Board of living in the streets and board of hiding from people. That is why he made a very risky decision one day. When everyone was out he snuck into the flat. Everything was exactly the same as he had left it but the way the carpet was worn down suggested that John never even entered this room. Sherlock was as silent as a ghost (which he basically was) as he observed his old life. There was one thing he saw that made him long for it more that anything. His violin was sitting there un played. Smart as ever Sherlock came up with a plan so he could have the violin without John thinking it was stolen. He missed John terribly but Sherlock had to stay away from him to keep him safe. His violin would have to do as a companion. Sherlock gently took his violin, his child padded it with bubble wrap and carried it up the stairs and put it next to John's bedroom. Sherlock slowly walked out, his long coat billowing behind him.
Sometimes if you walk the streets of London you will violin music. It is the sad tune of a lost soul crying for a friend. Listen closely it contains words too full of love and loss to be spoken. They are even harder for this sad being to admit.
It is not a sad as some of the fics I have read. This is one draft so don't be to hard on me please! R&R!
Sorry about that random review I did. I was just bored and testing it. I assumed it wouldn't work and now don't know how to remove it!
