28All hell breaks loose chapter 14
AN: I don't own the characaters as they belong to Joss Whedon and I only own the plot.
"I wonder if our son Connor is enjoying Rome as we have not heard from them" asked Colleen as she and her husband were watching TV in their home in a district of LA called Brentwood.
"He must be as he has sent us post cards and plus he has met a girl so he has probably forgotten to phone us" replied Lawrence Riley but he did wonder what happened to Connor and why was his eldest son not in touch with them.
"I hope that Connor's new girlfriend treats him better than Tracey" commented Kathy from the sofa where she had been reading a celebrity gossip magazine. She had wondered why Connor had stayed in contact with Mr. Angel after his visit to that law firm as she remembered seeing her brother going off to look for Mr. Angel when there was an earthquake that wrecked part of the city. However, she hoped that her brother was safe and happy wherever he is.
'Well I will ring Mr. Angel and see if he knows what has happened to our son" said Lawrence while his work as a doctor kept him busy he wanted to make time for his family.
"That's a good idea although I heard that Mr. Angel no longer works at that law firm" replied Colleen looking concerned. After about twenty minutes the family dog began to bark and there was a knock at the door.
"Who is that?" asked Kathy and she was a little confused as it was bit late for visitors and why was Rover barking.
"I will go and get it and it is probably our neighbors as they had borrowed our grill for their beach party last weekend" said Colleen
"It is a bit late to be returning a grill" replied Lawrence and he watched his blonde wife walk to the door.
Colleen Riley walked to the door intending to give her neighbors a piece of her mind if it was them returning a grill at nearly 10 at night on a Friday. She opened the door and saw her son looking healthy if a little pale with his arm around a pretty brunette's shoulders. They were both smiling at her.
"Hi Mom and may we come in?" asked Connor
"Please come in and we had no idea that you had returned from Rome and did Mr. Angel arrange the plane tickets" said Colleen looking pleased to see her eldest son back.
"Something like that" said Connor with a smirk
"Thanks for inviting us into your lovely home and my name is Dawn Summers" said the pretty brunette and she was wearing a short black skirt and a red tank top.
"Are you Connor's girlfriend?" asked Colleen looking at Dawn with some interest.
"You could say that Mrs. Riley" replied Dawn and the young couple followed Mrs. Riley into the living room.
"Hey big bro how are you" said Kathy smiling at her older brother.
"Hi little sis and I have become a new man since we have seen each other and this is Dawn Summers who I met in Rome" said Connor introducing Dawn to his sister.
"Are you a couple or something" asked Kathy a little confused by her brother's comment about becoming a new man.
"Yes and your brother is the love of my life" replied Dawn.
'So how was your trip?" asked Lawrence
"Fine and I want to show you something dad" said Connor.
"What is it son and did you bring us souvenirs from your holiday" replied Lawrence
"Not exactly daddy dearest" retorted Connor and his handsome features morphed to reveal the demon within.
"What on earth has happened to your face" said Lawrence now afraid of the creature that looks like his son.
"If I were you I would not waste time asking stupid questions like that and it is time to run before we find you" said Connor with a smirk and he morphed back into his human face.
Dawn had started giggling wickedly at the scene much to the confusion of Kathy and Colleen.
Lawrence and his wife and daughter planned to run and call for help so they ran out of their own living room.
"Are you going to chase down your parents and remember the Master wants an offering from us" said Dawn
"I am and he can have my mom and can you handle Kathy" said Connor
"Of course tiger and how long do we have to obey the Master?" asked Dawn frowning with some annoyance.
"We have to obey him for now but in the future who knows what could happen to old Bat face" replied Connor and he sped off to hunt down his parents and he used his vampire senses to track them to their hiding place in the bedroom and Lawrence had picked up a baseball bat and swung at Connor who ducked easily and quickly punched him in the gut and then he turned on his mom.
"You are lucky mom as someone wants you alive for now" growled Connor and he took the baseball bat from his father and hit her with it knocking her out. He then morphed into his vampire face and tore out the throat of his adoptive father. The blood tasted excellent he thought and he secured his unconscious mother by tying her wrists together with one of his father's ties and he wondered how Dawn was getting on.
Meanwhile Dawn had tracked Kathy to her room as she had tried to call for help by picking up her cell phone but she felt a tight grip on her wrist.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" snarled Dawn
"What did you do to my brother" questioned a shaking Kathy
"Why nothing at all to tell you the truth" snapped Dawn and she had morphed into her vampire face.
"Will you hurry up and eat her honey" said Connor looking impatient
"Eat me! What did you mean?" screamed Kathy
Dawn growled at her and then ripped out her throat and then morphed back into her human face.
"Your sister tasted great and how was your dad" said Dawn
"He tasted great and Angelus was right about the joy that you killing your parents adoptive or not" replied Connor
"If you say so" commented Dawn in a disbelieving tone as just like Spike she did not like Angelus very much.
The young couple then kissed ferociously with a rising passion before Connor carried his adoptive mother like a sack of potatoes and they headed back to Wolfram and Hart.
Meanwhile in an apartment in LA Lindsey and Eve were in bed together and the former liaison was pleased that Lindsey came back to life and found her. Although she was slightly worried about what Hamilton or the Senior Partners might do to her if they knew that she had survived the demon army being sent to attack LA after Angel betrayed the former Circle of the Black Thorn.
"How is the law firm doing?" asked Eve
"It is a bit difficult to work there as Hamilton has brought back monsters such as Angelus and the vampire who is known as the Master to help him fulfill the plans that the Senior Partners have for this world" replied Lindsey and while he hated Angel since the time the dark vampire had arrived in LA. Angelus was even more dangerous than his ensouled counterpart and a tiny part of him regretted going along with Hamilton to separate Angelus from Angel. But he firmly squelched those fears and doubts by telling himself that he was going to be in the Circle of the Black Thorn when they are reformed and he would finally have the power that he craved for so long.
"Well if Hamilton doesn't pull off the Senior Partner's plans to rule this world then they will have to look to someone else who can help them and it is going to be you" said Eve comfortingly.
"I know that Eve but unfortunately Lilah was brought back to assist Hamilton with the project that we are currently working on" said Lindsey reasonably and he respected his old rival who he worked with when they were young lawyers under the supervision of his old mentor Holland Manners.
"Well Lilah can't be seen by the Senior Partners as a good candidate to help them as she willingly slept with one of the good guys" replied Eve
"Well Wesley no longer wants her and I think that she is secretly afraid of double crossing the Senior Partners" replied Lindsey and a part of him still could not believe that Wesley and Lilah had become a couple as he remembered the klutzy demonologist that he had met when he worked with Angel to save those children.
