Hello once again everyone! There is a lot for me to go over before we get to the story.

First, I would like to apologize again for the delay at getting this chapter out. I wish it wouldn't take me this long to get them out, but there's really nothing I can do about it.

Second, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has favorited, followed, and/or reviewed this story so far. You have no idea how happy you all have made me!

Next, for whomever hasn't noticed yet, I removed that lemons from the previous chapters. I removed them to avoid having to deal with Critics United. I now have an account on Archive of Our Own where I'm going to upload just the lemons. There's a link to it in my bio under the "Current Stories" section.

I would also like to warn everyone that this chapter is a bit dialogue-heavy. The next chapter should less dialogue and more descriptive action.

Oh, and about midway through the chapter there is a scene that just came out of nowhere. I liked it though, so I left it in. Also, the passage of time is a bit screwed up in this chapter. Just ignore it for now. Hopefully I won't have that problem in later chapters.

Lastly, this chapter has a lot of Misty bashing. Sorry to those of you who like Misty, but it's necessary. And this is going to be the last chapter that she makes an official appearance in, at least for a while.

Now then. This chapter has a lot of twists in it, so let's get the show on the road!

Summary: What if you loved someone with all of your heart? What if that person was from a completely different species? Ash Ketchum is about to find out; and boy is he in for a big surprise. Rated M for suggestive content and some language.

Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon or anything in it. Also, credit for the amazing cover picture goes to blackpersian of Deviantart.

Chapter 4: Learning the Basics

(Last Time)

Lucario cleared his throat, causing Ash and Angelica to look at him, "There is something we wish to talk to you about, Ash."

"Okay, what's that?" he asked.

"Well…" Lucario started, but didn't finish. His nerves were getting the better of him. He took a deep breath and finished what he needed to say, "I want to go with you when you leave the Tree of Beginning."

"W-what!?" Ash stammered. Of all the things he was expecting Lucario to say this wasn't it.

Sir Aaron decided to help his friend along, "Well, I sealed Lucario in my staff so he could be released in a more peaceful time and live a happy life, but with what happened to the Tree he didn't get the chance to live the life he deserves. Also, wouldn't you like to learn how to use Aura?"

"Of course I would! It has bugged me ever since then that I had that amazing gift that I couldn't find anyone to train me to use. The only other Aura Guardian I know was busy in Sinnoh. But I Lucario doesn't need to come with me just for that!" Ash replied. He wasn't going to be selfish.

"You misunderstand, Ash. I want to come with you," Lucario said. Seeing the somewhat blank look Ash was giving him he continued, "I hold the utmost respect for you, Ash. To do what you did save the Tree and Mew shows how selfless and caring you are. Just for that alone I would be happy to lend you my strength and teach you about Aura. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if you could teach me a few things as well," Lucario finished with a smile.

"Well, if that's how you feel then I'd be wrong of me to say no," Ash said. He then flew up to Lucario and held out his paw, "Welcome to the family!" he exclaimed. Lucario shook Ash's hand with a smile.

"Wait, family?" Sir Aaron asked confusedly.

"As far as I'm concerned, my Pokémon are family," Ash clarified.

"Oh, okay."

"Well, it was fun and all, but I think we should be going. We've got a lot more to do today," she said as she opened a portal to the natural world, "See you later Aaron; we'll come visit again sometime!" she finished as she flew through it. Lucario shook Sir Aaron's hand and thanked him before jumping through the portal as well.

All that was left was Sir Aaron and Ash. "It was nice to finally meet you, Sir Aaron," he said.

"You as well, Ash. Stay safe, and may the Aura be with you," he replied. Ash nodded with a smile on his face as he gave a short wave and flew through the portal; it closing behind him.

It took mere moments for the three to come out the other side of the portal. Lucario landed on the ground in a crouched position while Ash and Angelica were floating in the air.

"Back already? You were only gone a few minutes," they heard from behind them. They turned around to see Pikachu sitting against one of the crystals. "Wait… Lucario!? What are you doing here? I thought you died!" he exclaimed in shock. What was it with all of the weird shit happening lately? First Ash gets turned into a shiny Mew, then Lucario gets brought back to life. What's next, multiple Legendary Pokémon walking up to Ash at once and telling him to catch them?

"Greetings, Pikachu," Lucario responded, not at all surprised with what he had said, "And no, I didn't die. When I gave my Aura to the Tree it noticed that without it my body would've died, so it absorbed me into it and kept me in an, essentially, suspended state until my Aura could replenish itself enough to sustain my life," he explained.

"Well then why didn't Sir Aaron come back with you?" Pikachu asked.

"I'm wondering that as well," Ash admitted.

"That's the thing about being in the Tree," Angelica answered, "Even though you don't age while inside it, you immediately age when you leave equal to the amount of time that has passed. For instance, Lucario was in the Tree for a little more than a year, so he aged that much. Now, how long ago did Sir Aaron give his Aura to the Tree?"

"Wasn't it over a thousand years ago?" Ash asked.

"Yes it was. So he would've immediately aged one thousand years if he were to leave the Tree." Lucario clarified.

Ash and Pikachu visibly paled at the thought. What does a person look like after a thousand years? Would there be anything more than dust? After shaking their heads Ash thought of something else. "If that's the case then why didn't Sir Aaron leave the Tree as soon as his Aura had replenished enough? And for that matter, why didn't Lucario age when I originally released him from Sir Aaron's staff?"

Pikachu looked at Ash weirdly, there is no way Ash would've normally had such a complex thought. The first question anyone could've thought of, but connecting the dots and getting the second question? Not Ash. Pikachu could only assume that becoming a Legendary Pokémon changed more than just his outward appearance.

"I asked Sir Aaron the same thing back then," Angelica started. "He said that he felt that the time was right for the world to continue without him. As for Lucario, Sir Aaron asked me if there was a way for Lucario to not age when he was eventually released from his staff. He didn't know how long Lucario was going to be in there and didn't want him to suffer for something he didn't have any control over. I had Celebi make sure Sir Aaron's final wish was granted."

Ash and Pikachu let what Angelica said sink in a bit before Ash broke the silence. "Well anyway, we need to get ready to go. I told my mom we'd meet her and the rest of my Pokémon at Professor Oak's lab at three. What time is it anyway?" he asked.

"It's a bit after 2 now," Angelica replied.

Ash decided not to ask how she knew that. "We better get moving then."

"What are we meeting them there for?" Lucario asked.

"There are a few things that need to be explained and I figured it would be easier to explain them to everyone at once." Ash thought for a moment. "That reminds me, I guess I have to capture you both, don't I?" he said to Lucario and Angelica.

"You mean in one of those balls?" Lucario asked, remembering Ash using a few of them the last time they were here.

"Yep," Ash confirmed before changing back into his human form to get to his Pokéballs. "I imagine it's not that bad in there since most Pokémon don't mind it; Pikachu being an exception. If you'd prefer I could let you right back out instead of keeping you in there."

"Could you? I think I've spent enough time trapped in objects to last a lifetime," Lucario gratefully replied.

Ash nodded and opened his backpack. "I think this one is perfect for you, Lucario," he said as he pulled a Pokéball out that was green on the top with red accents going around the center button. "A Friend Ball. A symbol of what is hopefully an everlasting friendship between us." Lucario smiled at the gesture and nodded. Ash then turned to Angelica. "For you, Angel, I had this Pokéball specially made a while ago, hoping I would get to use it one day." The Pokéball he pulled out was light red on the top and had a bright pink heart above the button. "A Love Ball."

Angelica flew up to the ball that Ash held out to her. "It's beautiful," she said reverently as she rubbed the top of it with her paw.

Ash smiled. "If your both ready you can press the button in the middle," he said to them.

Lucario walked up to the friend ball and pressed the button. At the same time Angelica flew up to Ash and kissed him on the cheek. "You're such a sweetheart," she said. She then turned around and pressed the button on her own Pokéball. They opened and sucked their targets in before closing; both dinging instantly, neither Angelica nor Lucario putting up a fight.

Ash would normally have done his signature celebration for capturing new Pokémon, but this time he felt it wouldn't be right. So instead he just let them both back out. They both materialized in front of Pikachu and himself with smiles on their faces. "So? How was it?" he asked. He would never get the opportunity to experience it himself, but this was the next best thing.

"It's wasn't half bad," Lucario admitted. "Not too cramped but not too open either."

"It was really nice in mine!" Angelica exclaimed as she flew up to Ash and landed on his shoulder, nuzzling her cheek against his own. "But I'd still rather be out here with you." Ash smiled and subconsciously nuzzling her back, loving the feel of her fur on his skin.

Seeing that they would probably do that for the rest of the day if they could, Pikachu decided to speak up. "So, are we ready to go?"

"Yep, I think so," Angelica replied after she stopped nuzzling Ash's face.

"Wait!" they heard someone bellow from the entrance to the room. They all turn around and see Regirock, Regice, and Registeel walking into the room. "We are going with you," Regirock finished.

"Huh?" Ash said unintelligibly.

"We are tasked with guarding not only the Tree of Beginning, but Mew as well," Regice clarified.

"But then who will protect the Tree?" Lucario asked.

"We have already spoken to the Pokémon that live within the base of the Tree," Registeel explained. "They have agreed to protect it in our stead."

"Okay, I guess," Ash said uncertainly. He should probably stop thinking about these things too much. If three legendary Pokémon walk up to you and tell you to capture them you would be stupid to say no. He went back into his backpack and pulled out three Premier Balls that he got from somewhere he couldn't remember. He was about to speak again but Pikachu had other ideas…

"Oh come on!" he screamed incredulously, everyone else looking at him weirdly. It actually happened! Three Legendries walked up to Ash and asked for him to capture them! Where in the Distortion World was his gravy!? Why did Ash get everything he wanted but Pikachu got bubkes? "That's it! The love of my life will fall right into my arms!" he yelled as he looked up, closed his eyes, and opened his arms.

Everyone else was confused as to what Pikachu was doing, but Angelica, seeing a prime opportunity, decided to have a little fun. She quickly searched around the area with her Psychic powers, found what she was looking for, and teleported it to just a few feet above Pikachu's head. Oh, this will be good! she thought. She then let it go.

Pikachu stood there for a moment with nothing happening. All of a sudden, something fell into his arms and pushed him onto his back, the something on top of him. His first reaction was that it worked! Until, that is, he noticed what it felt like. Almost afraid of what he would see, he opened his eyes. Staring back at him with a confused look on its face was… a Grimer. "AAAHHH!" Pikachu screamed as he threw the Grimer off of him. The Grimer looked around for a second, shrugged its non-existent shoulders, and shimmied out of the room.

Angelica suddenly burst out laughing like nobody's business. So hard, in fact, that she fell off of Ash's shoulder and hit the floor, holding her stomach with her paws as she continued her raucous laughter at Pikachu's expense.

Pikachu got up on shaky legs and tried, with some difficulty, to wipe the grime off of himself. Angelica, meanwhile, wasn't doing so well either... "Oh my A-Arceus! I'm g-gonna p-pee!" she yelled through her still-horrid laughter.

"Okay, that was weird… Anyway," Ash started, trying to ignore the laughing Mew at his feet. "Here are your Pokéballs," he said as he turned back to Regirock, Regice, and Registeel. They nodded, all seemingly indifferent about what just happened. Seeing the nods he threw the Premier Balls at them, the three of them getting sucked inside; the balls dinging without rocking once again. By the time Ash walked over to the balls, picked them up, clipped them to his belt, and walked back over to the others, Angelica had calmed down for the most part, only emitting small laughs between her deep breathes. Ash noticed that she, thankfully, hadn't lost control of her bladder. "All done?" he asked her as he picked her up and cradled her in his arms.

"Yeah. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time," she stated as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Glad to be of service," Pikachu grumbled as he got the last of the goop out of his fur. He would still need to take a good bath, but it was good enough for now.

"Sorry, Pikachu," Angelica apologized as she flew out of Ash's arms and gave Pikachu a hug. "Still friends?" she asked as she broke the hug and looked at him.

Pikachu couldn't stay mad at her. "Yeah, friends," he responded as he hugged her himself.

"Pikachu's strange love life notwithstanding," Lucario cut in, his comment causing Pikachu to blush a bit while scratching the back of his head and Angelica to giggle. "Can we go? I haven't seen the sunlight in a long time."

"Yeah, let's go," Ash responded. "Can you teleport us to the side of Professor Oak's lab please? I don't think I'm good enough to teleport all of us that distance yet," he admitted.

"Sure," Angelica said. They all started glowing a slight pink before they all disappeared into thin air.

When they reappeared they were standing beside Prof. Oak's lab, their teleportation hidden by some large bushes. Lucario looked up to the clear blue sky. He then closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "Ah, it's nice to be outside again."

"So, would you two mind staying here before I introduce you to everyone? That way it will be a surprise," Ash said to Angelica and Lucario.

"I have a better idea!" Angelica said exuberantly. She then became shrouded in a pink light, the size slowly changing and getting bigger. Eventually, the light died down to reveal… Another human!

"What!?" Ash exclaimed. Pikachu and Lucario had surprised looks on their faces too.

"Surprised?" Angelica asked, now in her own human form.

"I didn't know you could do that!" Ash said as he looked her over. She was the same height at him with a flawless face, shoulder-length bright pink hair, a light pink dress that ended just below her knees, and pink tennis shoes with short white socks. She kept her bright ocean-blue eyes. "You really like pink huh?" Ash asked as he blushed slightly. Even in this form she was highly attractive.

"Pink's always been my favorite color, for obvious reasons," she replied.

That's when Ash noticed something else. "You can speak like a human too?"

"Well, sometimes I would get bored. I would take this human form and walk around Rota and see what it was like. Eventually, I learned the language."

"Well that'll make things easier," Ash said as he brought her in for another kiss. "Anyway," Ash said as they broke apart. "What's your idea?" he asked Angelica.

"Well… I was thinking Lucario could stay here and make a grand entrance when you call him. I, on the other hand, walk out with you, holding hands, and see how long it takes for someone to straight up ask who I am and/or why we're holding hands."

"That's fine with me. What about you, Lucario?"

"I'm okay with that," he replied, "I'll just wait here."

"Okay." Ash, with Pikachu on his shoulder again, and Angelica walked out of the bushes and into a clearing just behind Oak's lab. Ash noticed that everyone was already there. Lucario moved up to the edge of the bushes so he could see what was going on without being seen himself.

Everyone in the clearing were conversing with each other. Prof. Oak, his mom, Tracy, and to his surprise, Gary, were all off to one side talking amongst themselves. His Pokémon had split off into their own little groups, each having their own conversation. Pikachu, seeing Bulbasaur talking with Charizard and Squirtle, both of whom he had called back after he returned from Sinnoh, jumped off of Ash's shoulder to say hello to them.

Ash gave them enough time to greet one another before interrupting them. "Hey everyone!"

They all turned to him and greeted him back. They all started moving and forming ranks, shortest in the front and tallest in the back, a routine they started when their group started getting too large. Bayleef was going to Body Slam Ash like she normally would, but got a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach when she saw him holding hands with a woman she didn't recognize. She decided to wait to find out who the woman was before doing anything else. She got to her spot, trying to hide her worries. Quilava however, whom she was standing next to, saw her face and got worried himself.

You see, since evolving before the Sinnoh League, he had grown to like Bayleef. She was smart, caring, funny, incredibly determined, and not to mention cute. He wouldn't act on his feelings, though. He was too afraid that it would ruin their friendship.

Ash's voice broke him out of his musings. "How's everyone been?" he asked his Pokémon. The reply was a garbled mess of answers, but he got the general idea. "That's good. I'm sure you're all wondering why I wanted everyone to gather like this, so I'll get right to it."

As he was going to continue his mother interrupted him. "Aren't you going to introduce us to the beautiful woman next to you first, Ash?" she asked with a sly undertone.

Ash and Angelica glanced at each other, Angelica a bit flustered that Delia had called her beautiful. They weren't at all surprised that that was the first thing anyone brought up, or the fact that it was his mother that did. "I was going to do that first anyway," Ash answered. "Everyone, I'd like you all to meet Angelica…" he trailed off and swallowed hard and squeezed her hand a bit tighter, which she reciprocated to reassure him. "My girlfriend." He used a word that wouldn't give too much away. Saying 'mate' before explaining everything else would've caused too many questions to be thrown his way.

Everyone's reactions were hilarious to say the least. Save Pikachu, and Delia who just had a humongous grin on her face, everyone's jaws practically hit the ground. The thought of Ash even looking at a girl that way was ludicrous. After a few moments of silence, a loud thud was heard. All of the Pokémon turned around to find Charizard, who had been in the back row, was now laying on the ground out cold. He fainted from the shock.

"Really?" Ash asked incredulously as his Pokémon tried to wake Charizard back up. "It's not that surprising, is it?"

"A little bit, Ashy-boy," Gary admitted.

Bayleef, rather than being surprised, was distraught. She turned and ran further into the ranch, tears streaming down her face. Nobody noticed her leave since everyone was trying to get Charizard back on his feet. Nobody, that is, except Quilava. He turned just in time to see her disappear through the tree line. He then looked down to where she had been standing and saw multiple droplets of water. Immediately figuring out where they had come from he ran after her.

Quilava ran as fast as he could, all the while dodging trees and bushes. He could understand where she was coming from. She was deeply in love with Ash, and all of Ash's Pokémon knew it. To have him come out and say that he was taken must've broken her heart. That, in turn, broke his own heart.

He had long since lost sight of her, but he was using his nose and following the spicy scent she always seemed to have. A scent that, now that he thought about it, was very alluring to him. Being a fire type, he loved anything spicy. He shook his head to clear it, no good would come from those thoughts now.

He eventually came upon another clearing, smaller than the original one they had started in, with a small river running through it. Quilava knew this spot well, a lot of Ash's Pokémon loved this spot. It was a very quiet and calm place, a perfect place to relax and let all of your worries drift away with the water in the river. Probably the reason Bayleef decided to come here.

Poking his head through the tree line, his fears were confirmed. There, sitting on her haunches next to the river with her head down and her back turned to him, was Bayleef, and he could clearly hear her sobs. It broke his heart all over again. He quietly walked in to the clearing and stopped behind her. She didn't react to his presence so she probably didn't know he was even there. He brought his paw out and slowly started stroking her back.

He barely touched her before she gasped and twirled around, showing him her tear-stained face. She quickly tried to wipe the tears away with a vine; they were falling far too fast for it to do any good, however. "Q-Quilava? W-what are you doing here?" she asked him through her sniffles.

"I saw you run out of the clearing and wanted to make sure you were okay," he said as he smiled at her sadly.

"I'm f-fine," she attempted. She knew, though, that it was a futile lie; a lie that anyone with a brain would see through easily.

"Your tear-riddled face tells me otherwise," he responded delicately.

Quilava surprising her gave her the ability to push her sadness back for a bit, but the surprise had passed and the sadness hit her again, harder than ever. So she did the only thing she could: she hugged him, needing to hold on to something for comfort.

He was initially surprised when she hugged him, but hearing her sobs start back up again made him calm down and hug her back, her head resting on his shoulder. They stayed that way for who knows how long, but eventually her sobs subsided and she pulled away. "Better?" he asked.

"Yeah," she admitted. It still hurt, but the good long cry she had did wonders.

"Good, I hate seeing you sad," he said soothingly as he tenderly wiped the remaining tears off of her face.

Bayleef blushed despite herself, not used to anyone showing her that type of affection before. She looked down to try to hide her blush, but only blushed more when she saw something else. "Uh…"

"What?" Quilava asked, looking down at what she was looking at. What he saw caused him to gain and atomic blush of his own. "Ah!" he exclaimed as he quickly turned around and covered his crotch. He was so preoccupied with making her feel better that he didn't notice how strong her scent was while they were hugging!

Bayleef looked back up at him. "So…"

Quilava sighed, she had already seen it so there was no point in trying to deny it. "I'm sorry."

"No, it's okay. Honestly, I'm flattered," she admitted, her still-visible blush heating up a bit more. And that wasn't the only thing that was heating up either…

"Huh?" he asked unintelligibly, turning slightly to look at her.

She looked down at the ground again. "Well, I'm flattered that you would feel that way about me." She then made a quick decision. "Actually, if that is the case, would you mind…" She gave him a shy glace. "Helping me with something?"

"W-what do you m-mean?" he asked. He suddenly got another strong whiff of her scent, which only succeeded in causing him more problems.

"I know you can smell it," she said bluntly.

"Smell w-what?" he asked slowly as he turned around fully again, the 'problem' between his legs forgotten for the time being.

"Don't play dumb. You can smell my heat."

"Y-you're in h-heat?" he asked with a stutter.

She answered his question by jumping on him and pinning him to the ground. "What do you think?" she said lustfully as she shoved her mouth onto his in a heated kiss.

He initially tried to break away, but her scent was unbearably strong this close up. So strong, in fact, that his mind became fuzzy. Almost immediately his resolve broke and he passionately kissing her back, no longer caring where this chain of events would end up.

That was the loudest that particular clearing had ever been.

(Back with Ash and company, just after Quilava left)

It took a bit of coaxing and a weak Water Gun from Totodile, but they eventually got Charizard back on his feet. He rubbed the back of his head embarrassingly. "Sorry."

"It's alright. At least you're okay," Ash responded. "Now, where was I? Oh yeah! So-"

He was cut off by another voice coming from the tree line off to the side. "Dark Pulse!" it yelled.

Ash looked over just in time to see an attack come barreling toward him and Angelica, who was still standing next to him. They were too surprise to react in time and the attack exploded violently as it reached them.

"Ash!" Delia screamed. Everyone looked over to where the attack came from to see a surprising sight. Standing there was Misty, with a victorious smirk on her face. Next to her was a Sharpedo.

The group of humans and Pokémon looked back over just in time to see the smoke dissipating. Inside was another surprising sight. Between Ash, Angelica and Misty was a Lucario with its arms crossed in front of it in a traditional block pattern. What was more surprising, though, was that it didn't have a mark on it.

Misty's smirk quickly turned into a snarl.

"Phew. Thanks, Lucario." Ash said.

"Don't mention it," he said as he slid into a combat stance to counter attack, the rest of Ash's Pokémon doing the same. Everyone would've been surprised that he used telepathy if it weren't for the situation at hand.

"What in the hell are you doing Misty!? That would've hit us!" Ash yelled.

"I wasn't aiming at you!" she screamed back.

"Huh?" he asked unintelligibly.

"I was aiming for the bitch next to you!"

"What!?" everyone said.

"That's right! I'm the only one you're allowed to be with! That slut has no business being with you!" she yammered.

"Who do you think you are?!" Angelica exclaimed indignantly, "What gives you the right to say who Ash can and can't have a relationship with?!" Angelica couldn't believe this woman! As far as she could tell, the only bitch around here was Misty.

"Shut up, you whore! You better get away from him this instant, or I'll make you!" Misty threatened, the Sharpedo next to her growling a bit.

Ash stepped in front of Angelica and spread his arms to block Misty's view of her. "Absolutely not! If you think I'm going to let you harm her then you have another thing coming, Misty."

Angelica placed a delicate hand on Ash's shoulder, causing Ash to turn his head to look at her. "Let me handle this, Ash."

"I can handle myself, Ash. Besides, she's made this personal," she said with conviction as her eyes glowed slightly.

"Okay, I trust you," he replied. He then turned to his Pokémon. "Stand down everyone. Angelica wants to handle this herself." All of his Pokémon complied, Lucario included. He then turned back to Angelica. "Be careful, okay?" he said as he kissed her on the cheek.

"Of course," she replied as she gave him a return kiss on the lips.

"Hey! I told you to get away from him, you bimbo!" Misty screamed indignantly.

Angelica sighed. Where was she getting all of these words from? "You might want to move out of the way, this could turn ugly," she said to Ash with anger in her voice. Ash nodded and he, along with Lucario, moved to stand next to Ash's other Pokémon.

Professor Oak, Delia, Tracey, and Gary, for their parts, were looking a bit apprehensive. "Is she going to be okay?" Delia whispered to Ash, just loud enough for the others around them to hear. "Remember, Misty has become one of the most powerful Gym Leaders in Kanto."

"I'll admit, I am worried," Ash replied. "But not for Angelica. I'm more worried about Misty. Angelica could kill her if she's not careful."

"Huh?" everyone asked.

"Just watch," Ash said as he turned back to where Angelica and Misty were about to face off.

Misty was currently laughing herself silly. After calming down enough she spoke. "What are you going to do, tramp! I can tell you don't have any Pokéballs on you!"

"Oh, I don't need Pokéballs," she said in a deathly calm voice.

"And why would that be?" Misty asked with a wide smirk on her face.

"Tell you what. Instead of telling you, I'll show you." Angelica was then covered in a pink light.

"Huh. I didn't think she'd do this," Ash said to himself.

"What's happening to her?" Professor Oak asked.

"You'll see," he replied back.

When the light died down Angelica was in her true form, floating in the air above the ground. Everyone, Misty included, gave off shocked gasps. "Y-you're a M-Mew?" she stuttered as she took a cautious step back.

"I am," Angelica confirmed, using telepathy so Misty and the other humans there could understand her. "Now then, I'll give you one chance. Turn around and leave, and I'll forget any of this happened."

Misty was not expecting this. She knew she probably had no chance against a Pokémon as powerful as a Mew, type advantage or not. She quickly came up with another plan before speaking. "Grr. Fine! I know that I wouldn't have a chance against you." She returned Sharpedo to its Pokéball. "But believe me, I will be back. And you better be ready, because when I do you won't see each other ever again!" she finished as she turned and ran back into the tree line.

She didn't even take ten steps before she started dialing a number on her Xtransceiver. If she couldn't have him then no one could!

"What a..." Angelica trailed off, not sure what word to use to describe Misty.

"Bitch?" Ash finished as he walked up next to her.

"Yeah, that! It would figure she would use a Dark-type Pokémon with a Dark-type move. Anything else and I would've sensed her and most of that wouldn't have happened in the first place," she explained. "What happened to her though? I don't remember her being like that when I saw you together on New Island," she asked.

"She has entitlement issues," Ash explained. "She said it herself. It's like she assumes I'm her property or something. It was actually just yesterday that she told me she loved me. I wanted no part in that, of course. But I guess she won't take no for an answer."

Having finished the conversation they turned to look at the rest of the group, and what they saw made Angelica start giggling into her paws. Everyone, save Pikachu and Lucario, were looking at them with the most confused faces either of them had ever seen.

Ash scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Yeah… This is actually one of the things I wanted to explain."

Delia's expression quickly turned from one of confusion to anger. "Well you better get started Ashton," she said as she tapped her foot on the ground.

"I was going to anyway, mom," he replied. Already knowing the things he was about to explain was going to become even more awkward.

Both Quilava and Bayleef were laying on their sides, facing each other and completely out of breath. "That was amazing," she said tiredly. Bayleef also noticed that her heat was completely gone.

"Yes, it was," Quilava replied as he gave her a light smooch on the lips. They continued laying there catching their breath for a few more minutes before Quilava spoke again. "We should probably clean up and get back to the others. If they haven't noticed we left already they probably will soon," he said as he stood up.

"Yeah, you're probably right," she admitted. She went to try to stand herself, but her hind legs immediately gave out on her. "Ugh, my legs are too weak. I can't walk."

"Quilava, being the gentleman he is, was immediately at her side to help her. "Here, put one of your vines around me. I'll support you," he said with a smile.

Bayleef smiles back with a light blush dusting her cheeks. "Thanks." She put her vine around his shoulders and hauled herself up again, her hind legs shaking badly, but enough of her weight was taken off of them that she didn't fall again.

They slowly walked over to the stream and walked into it, letting the water clean their fur. Quilava scrubbed their stomachs to clean off the more stubborn stains.

"What did I ever do to deserve you?" Bayleef asked as she nuzzled his cheek.

Quilava just looked up at her and smiled. When he did, however, he noticed something on the nape of her neck. After getting a closer look at it he noticed it looked like a silhouette of himself standing on his hind legs with his back turned, head looking over his shoulder, and what looked like intense flames along his back. "Hey, look at this," he said as he traced it with his paw in case it was just a weird smudge; it wasn't.

"What?" she asked as she turned her head to look at what he was talking about.

"I think it's, um, a mating mark," he replied a bit hesitantly.

"Really!?" she said, surprised. Sure enough, when she finally got a look at it, it was clear that's what it was. She turned her head back to him and noticed something else. "It looks like you got one too," she said a bit excitingly as she traced what was on the nape of his own neck. It was a leaf just like what was on her own head with what looked like two vines encircling it at right angles from each other.

Quilava sighed, slightly confused at her excitement. "Don't you think this is all a bit too sudden?"

"Yes," she said truthfully. "But I'm not going to complain. I mean, we already confessed to each other, so why delay the inevitable? Besides, I've always wanted a child of my own!" she exclaimed. Quilava just looked at her with shock. "My heat's completely gone. You know what that means," she explained as she rubbed her stomach with a vine.

"Great," he said ruefully.

"Oh stop your worrying. We'll be fine! Besides, if we need help, I've heard that Charizard is actually a pretty good father. I'm sure he'll be willing to help if we ask," she said as she brought him into a comforting hug.

"Yeah, I guess you're right," he replied as he hugged her back. After a few minutes of enjoying their embrace and letting the water flow through their fur they broke apart. "Anyway, we should probably head back. Can you walk yet?" he asked with concern.

She attempted to stand, and did so without much difficulty. "Yeah, I think I'm good." Her legs were still slightly weak, but if they took it slow she figured she would be fine.

"Good. Shall we, milady?" he asked as he held his arm out with a smile.

"Of course, my good sir," she answered with her own smile as she wrapped one of her vines around his outstretched arm. They both walked out of the stream, through the clearing, and back into the woods.

"And that's it," Ash said as he finished telling them his story, or at least the slightly changed version. He told them that Angelica teleported him directly to the Tree of Beginning because she was lonely, they confessed and he slept there with her. In the morning they revived Lucario, and came back. Ash also released Regirock, Regice, and Registeel and explained that they wanted to come with them to make sure Angelica stayed safe.

It wasn't the complete truth, but it was the best he could do on such short notice. Not to mention that he still had no idea how to bring up the fact that he was turned into a Mew, which, admittedly, was probably the most important part. He was seriously kicking himself for not thinking of any of this beforehand.

He looked down at Angelica, who had decided to hang from his chest with a hug. He was holding her up and stroking her back as she made various sounds of pleasure. Ash chuckled but continued his rubbing. He looked back up and found everyone else crowding around them, trying to get a closer look at Angelica. They had all taken it surprisingly well.

It wasn't until Lucario opened his big mouth, technically speaking, that the shit hit the fan. "I'm still surprised you would feel that way about her, Ash, since she's killed you before," he stated obliviously.

Everyone went dead-silent as both Ash and Angelica snapped their heads toward Lucario. "Are you insane!?" Ash said telepathically to Lucario specifically. "What were you thinking saying that with my mother standing here?!"

"What? She doesn't know you were hit by two Psychic blasts and turned to stone?" he asked back.

"Of course not! Would you tell your overprotective mother that you've been killed before?!" he finished as he looked back at his mother. She had no expression at all on her face at the moment, but he knew she would freak out soon enough. "How do you even know about that anyway?"

"On the way to the Tree of Beginning to find Pikachu your Pokémon told me," he explained. That made sense to Ash. He always told all of his Pokémon everything he's been through. Although he told them never to tell anyone that he didn't want them to, he had been telling everyone at the time about some of his and Pikachu's past. Maybe they figured that they could tell Lucario because of that.

He couldn't ponder it anymore, because it was then that Delia reacted. "WHAT!?" she screamed. She then ran over toward Ash and grabbed his shirt, knocking poor Angelica out of his arms. "You better explain right this minute, young man! What does he mean she's killed you before?!" she yelled at him.

"Uh…" Ash stuttered. He was a bit tongue tied. He wasn't sure how to explain it to her without her getting even more irate.

"I believe I can explain, Ms. Ketchum," a new voice said into their heads. It was one that only a handful of them recognized. A second later they heard the sound of a teleportation. They looked in the direction of the sound and saw none other than Mewtwo, although only three of the people present recognized him. He had his arms crossed and an emotionless face, just like always.

"Mew-mew!" Angelica exclaimed, using her nickname for him as she flew over to him and gave him a hug.

"Sister, what have I told you about calling me that?" he said incredulously.

"Don't. But I like it!" she said as she floated away from him and gave her one of her infectious smiles.

"Sister?" Ash asked as he walked up to Mewtwo himself.

"Well, her DNA was used to create me, so we figured it was only appropriate." Mewtwo responded before smiling slightly, "It's good to see you again, my friend." He stuck he hand out for a handshake.

"Likewise," Ash replied as they shook hands. Someone cleared their throat behind them, causing them to turn around. They saw Delia with an agitated look on her face tapping her foot against the ground, and everyone else with confused looks on their faces again. Especially Professor Oak and Gary, since they were both seeing a Pokémon they didn't recognize. Being professors they knew about every Pokémon in existence, or so they thought. "I guess some introductions are in order, huh?" Ash asked lamely as he scratched the back of his head. "Everyone, this is Mewtwo. Mewtwo, this is-" He was cut off by Mewtwo.

"There's no need. Your mother: Delia Ketchum, Professors Samuel and Gary Oak, Tracy Sketchit: A Pokémon Watcher, and all of your Pokémon except for the Marill, who is Tracy's."

"How did you know all of that?" Ash asked.

"I read all of their minds. You'll be able to do the same thing eventually," he replied.

"Be quite about that for now! I haven't gotten around to telling any of them about me being a Mew yet," Ash telepathed to Mewtwo.

"Impossible!" exclaimed Professor Oak, "There is no way you could've read all of our minds without us noticing, let alone that fast!" Not only do you normally feel when someone is trying to read your mind, it takes even the strongest of Psychic Pokémon extreme amounts of concentration to read just one mind.

"To the contrary," Mewtwo responded harshly. It was obvious he was struggling to stay civil.

He must still not trust humans. I'll have to fix that. Ash thought to himself.

"It was quite easy to read all of your minds. I'm the strongest Psychic on the planet," he finished. "For instance, Tracy is upset because the only sketch pad he had on him is full and he can't sketch me."

Tracy's eyes widened, Mewtwo had read him like an open book!

Both Oaks' eyes widened as well. They each took out their own notepads and started franticly scribbling on them as they each walked around Mewtwo.

Mewtwo eyed them warily before Ash started speaking. "Just ignore them. They get like that sometimes. All they're doing is taking observations," he said as he laid a hand on Mewtwo's shoulder to calm him down. Mewtwo nodded toward him gratefully.

"You have yet to explain what Lucario meant, Ashton," Delia said as she tapped her foot on the ground some more.

"I think this might be easier," Mewtwo mentioned as his eyes started to glow. Instantly, everyone there had memories of what happened on New Island flood their minds. "That should do it."

It took a moment for what everyone saw to sink in. Eventually, the professors started scribbling in their notebooks again, documenting what they just witnessed, and Delia ran up to Ash and started crushing him in a hug while sobbing. "Don't you ever do something like that again, young man!"

"But mom…"

"No buts! Do you have any idea how devastated I would be if something happened to you?" she asked franticly.

"You should be proud of him, Ms. Ketchum. His sacrifice showed me that what I was doing was wrong." Mewtwo admitted. "If it wasn't for him there's no telling what I would've done to the rest of world."

Delia stepped back from Ash and wiped her eyes. "I know. But I can't help but worry. I am proud of him," she said with a smile.

"Thanks, mom," Ash replied. "Hey, Mewtwo? What are you doing here anyway?" he asked as he turned to look at him.

"Well," he started. "I figured that if Mew was going to be coming with you, you both would need some protecting. You have a habit of getting into trouble, and she's no better." He glanced at her just in time to see her childishly stick her tongue out at him. "Besides, I figured I owed you."

"You don't owe me anything, Mewtwo. That being said, I would be happy to have you on the team." Ash finished as he stuck his hand out for another handshake. Mewtwo accepted his hand with a smile. "Oh, by the way, her name's Angelica now." Mewtwo raised an eyebrow as he looked over at her.

"What? He asked me if I wanted a name, and I said yes!" she said.

"Anyway, where were we?" Ash asked. Nobody noticed Quilava and Bayleef slink back into the clearing.

"Ash Ketchum?!" they heard someone yell from behind them.

"What now?" he said with a sigh. At this rate he wasn't going to get anywhere with all of the interruptions. He turned around and was surprised to see a dozen or so officers standing at the tree-line with multiple Pokémon in front of them in battle positions. "Uh, is there a problem officer?" he asked politely. He wasn't sure what it was but he suddenly got a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"Are you Ash Ketchum?" the commander, an Officer jenny, asked again.

"Then you are under arrest!" she exclaimed as she brought out a pair of handcuffs.

"What!? What for!?" he asked with surprise.

Ash pinched the bridge of his nose, "Please tell me she didn't…"

"Ha! What're you going to do now, pervert!" he heard Misty yell as she walked out of the trees. All of Ash's Pokémon got into battle positions on instinct, ready to protect their trainer and friend.

"What is wrong with you, Misty!?" Ash asked heatedly.

"If I can't have you then no one can!" she said triumphantly.

"Return your Pokémon to their Pokéballs and put your hands in the air!" the officer said.

Ash just crossed his arms, there was only one way he could think of to get out of this. "There appears to have been a miscommunication, officer," he said calmly.

"I will. But first, what did Misty tell you?"

"That you were in a relationship with a Pokémon!" she said with obvious disgust in her voice.

"That's true. I happen to be in a relationship with Angelica here," he said as he pulled her into a hug, her back facing his front, and placing a kiss on her head. He couldn't help the chuckle that left his throat when he saw Misty grimace and the officer's eyes widen, obviously just noticing that she was a Mew.

"Technically, however, the only person how has committed Pokephilia is Misty herself." Everyone except the few that new of Ash's transformation looked at him weirdly. The officers all turned to look at Misty.

"I don't know what that freak's talking about!" she yelled.

Ash let Angelica go as the officers turned back to looking at him. "She told you that I was in a relationship with a Pokémon. What she didn't tell you, though…" Ash let the last sentence hang as he started transforming back into his other form. Everyone, save the few that already knew about it again, looked at Ash in shock. Once the light died down Ash was floating in the air in all of his blue Mew glory. "Was that I am also a Pokémon," he finished.

Ash's Pokémon, as well as Professor Oak, Gary, Tracey and Delia looked at him in extreme confusion. It took a few seconds but Delia actually fainted, being caught just in time by Professor Oak. Ash would've gone over to check on her but there was someone else he had to take care of first.

"Now you listen here, Misty," Ash said through telepathy as he picked her up with Psychic and pulled her over toward him. "If I ever see you around here again there will be consequences. Do I make myself clear?" he said with obvious hatred in his voice. He could see the fear in her eyes, but his anger was overpowering. The fact that she would go to such lengths infuriated him.

Misty nodded her head, tears leaking from her eyes. "Good," Ash replied. "Now get out of my sight." He then teleported her back to Cerulean City. Ash then turned back to the officers, "I'm sorry for all of the confusion, Officer Jenny," he said as he scratched the back of his head.

"It's, uh, okay, I guess," she said slowly. "Should we go after her for Pokephilia?" she asked.

"No," Ash admitted truthfully. "She actually didn't know about me being a Mew. I would appreciate if you kept what you saw here today secret, however," he said.

"Of course," she replied. "Sorry for bothering you." She then turned toward the other officers and ordered them to return their Pokémon and return to base.

After they left Ash turned back to everyone and saw the looks they were giving him. "I guess I have some more explaining to do, huh?" he said as he scratched his head again while Angelica giggled.

"That would be nice, yeah," Gary admitted.

"Let's wake my mom up first," Ash said as he flew up to her. "Could someone use a weak Water Gun or something?" he asked.

"I got it!" Angelica said happily as she created a small ball of water in her hand and threw it at Delia.

The shock of the cold water hitting her face was enough to wake her up. "Ugh, what happened?" she asked in a daze. The first thing she saw was a blue Mew floating in front of her face.

"Are you okay, mom?" Ash asked worriedly.

"A-Ash?" she asked.

"Yeah, it's me, mom. I'm sorry if I worried you," he said as he hugged her.

Delia slowly got up from the ground where Professor Oak had placed her. When she got her bearings she hugged him back. "W-what happened to you?" she whispered.

After explaining what actually happened, Professor Oak and Gary were scribbling frantically in their notepads, Delia was watching with a weird smile on her face as Angelica was nuzzling Ash's side, and Tracey was sketching the scene on a sketch pad that he got while Ash was explaining his transformation.

"What?" Ash asked his mother.

Delia smiled wider, if that was even possible, and pulled them both in to a hug. "Oh, you both are just so cute!" she squealed.

"Moooommmm!" Ash whined in embarrassment.

"Thank you!" Angelica said, oblivious to Ash's plight.

Delia looked back down at them and noticed something peculiar, her smile fading into a confused frown. "Ash dear, what's that on your and Angelica's shoulders?" she asked.

Angelica smiled widely. "Oh, they're-"

"Side effects of my transformation!" Ash cut in. He did not was his mother to know what they really were. She would go into a rant about it being 'too early' and 'he should've waited until he was married'. Not to mention that there would be no end of his embarrassment. "Arceus had to use some of her DNA to transform me into a Mew, and these were the result. Yeah, that's it…"

Delia looked at him with a raised eyebrow, causing Ash to sweat a bit. Luckily she seemed to buy it. "Oh, okay. They actually look kind of neat." She then looked down at her Pokétch and noticed how late it was. "Oh my! It's pushing dinner-time. Why don't I make you your favorite for dinner?" she asked Ash.

"Yes please!" Admittedly he was hungry, he hadn't eaten anything since breakfast. Chiefly however, he just wanted to get him mom's mind off of their mating marks, lest she ask more questions.

"Okay. Care to help me Samuel?" she asked the professor.

"Sure," he replied as they started walking toward the lab.

"I think I need to get the Pokémon's food ready too." Tracey realized. He turned around and started running toward the lab as well.

"I'll help you." Gary supplied as he followed Tracey, leaving just the Pokémon.

"Phew, glad that's over." Ash said with a sigh.

"You two work fast, I'll give you that." Mewtwo said with a bit of mirth.

"Ash and Angelica sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g!" Pikachu sang.

"So! When will we hear the pitter-patter of breaking egg shells?" Totodile asked excitedly.

"Totodile!" Ash yelled, extremely embarrassed.

"Oh, probably not for another couple of months. My heat doesn't start until next month." Angelica answered as she rubbed her stomach absentmindedly. All of the Pokémon blushed at her forwardness and Ash just wanted to turn invisible. He couldn't though, since Angelica hadn't taught him how yet.

"Have you no tact?" Mewtwo asked her incredulously, earning an indifferent shrug in response.

"Anyway," Ash said looking for anything to get them off of the current topic. "Now that I can understand all of you, what do you want to talk about? We probably have about a half an hour before the food is ready."

After dinner was over, which was full of stories and laughs, Delia, Ash and Angelica, both of whom were in their human forms, were heading back home. Pikachu had said that he would stay at the ranch with the rest of the Pokémon to give she and Ash some 'alone time', which earned him a multitude of sly looks. Angelica, as oblivious as ever, just squeezed Pikachu in a hug with a thanks.

When they got there Ash showed Angelica around the house while Delia sat on the chair in the family room watching TV. When they finished they joined Delia, both of them cuddling on the couch.

Later that night they all went upstairs to go to bed for the night. Ash and Angelica going to his room while Delia went to her own down the hall.

Before they entered however, Delia spoke up. "Don't do anything funny in there."

"Mooommm!" he exclaimed. He pushed Angelica into the room and closed the door once he was on the other side of it with her, a massive blush on his face. "Sorry about that," he told Angelica.

Angelica giggled. "It's alright," she replied as she kissed him on the nose. "Come on, let's go to bed." The turned back into her true form and dove under the covers on the bed. Her head reappearing a second later on the pillow, smiling up at him happily.

Ash smiled as well, changed back into his blue Mew form, and carefully slid under the covers behind her. She immediately scooted backward and snuggled into his chest, his left arm naturally draping over her and landing on her stomach.

Ash's smile widened as he closed his eyes, truly at peace. "Good night, love."

Angelica's smile widened as well as she snuggled deeper into his chest. "Good night to you too, Ash-kun."

Wow, Word really didn't like the word bubkes… For those of you who don't know, bubkes is slang for nothing. Just like gravy can be used to mean prize.

How did you like the romance between Bayleef and Quilava? It just kinda typed itself, so I left it in. I think the pairing is cute, and it means Bayleef won't be as upset about Ash being taken, so I think it's a win-win. Hopefully it won't take me too long to type the lemon up and post it. I'm thinking of making one with Ash and Angelica for the end of the chapter as well, but I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, what did you all think? Drop me a review and let me know. Any kind of feedback is helpful!

P.S. I know Ash didn't officially capture Mewtwo yet. I couldn't find a good place to add that in, so he'll do it next chapter.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
