I looked at the building in front of me.
It took a second to realise that said building was my house.
Then realisation hit me. My dad was in there.
The next thing I knew I was pushing hard past everyone and finally after what felt like years I reached the front just as I saw a body bag being carted away.
I was cold. Empty. Lifeless.
I started to run but a big muscular arm reached around my waist and pulled me back, I fought, I kicked and more importantly I screamed for my dad but they still did not let me go, no matter how hard I fought against them. It was only when I was turned around did I realise it was Darry, he crushed me to his chest in a big hug and patted my hair.
It was deathly silent.
"Are you the daughter of Michael Smith?" all I could do was nod,
"Im afraid to inform you miss, but your father is dead... is there anyone you can stay with?" It was Darry who spoke to the old policeman "She'll stay with me" I couldn't express any emotion but sadness at the present moment so I hugged him a little tighter until I saw him... Tim Shepherd.
"YOU! You're the one who caused this! You've ruined my LIFE! Have you ever lost someone you love? I have nothing left because of you! He would still be here if it wasn't for YOU! Just stay away from me! I shouted with a wispy voice after all the crying and shouting.
And then just like that. I broke. I fell to the floor and I could feel myself breaking.
"I will try to fix you" Darry whispered in my ear before I broke.
'And the tears come streaming down your face, when you lose something you can't replace, when you love someone but it goes to waste, lights will guide you home and ignite your bones. I will try to fix you.'
