A/N: I love this new game. It's a bit odd and stuff but I still love it. This is just a little drabble I thought of.
Disclaimer: If I owned Fire Emblem: Awakening, there'd be an epilogue scene explaining what the snap happened to the future kids.
Warning: SpoilersSpoilersSpoilers. Ok? Ok.
The Power of Sacrifice
Her fall had been beautiful and mesmerizing. All Plegians there couldn't help but stare with open mouths as she took the determining step herself, tumbling forward. As the Mad King cackled and laughed, most of the audience of her demise couldn't share in his glee.
She had sacrificed herself. Without any reason to do so except to show them what her idea of peace truly was.
And was that peace? She had given herself to Plegia without so much of a crack in her graceful demeanor that they could see from their perspective. It was almost as if an angel had chosen to cut her wings with her own blade. And perhaps that is what had been done.
As the Ylisstolians fled, many of the Plegians let them pass without a glance, stumbling towards their own homes to try and understand what had just occurred. Others however, went towards the bloody mess that remained of Exalt Emmeryn.
"C-captain…?" A new solider stammered out, gripping the hilt of his sword in a death grip. He was pale at the sight of their once hated enemy. Nothing remained of her now. The captain, a stout, grim-faced man was frowning deeply. "The others are going after Prince Chrom and his Shepherds… Shouldn't we follow?"
"No," the man growled out. "Not until I at least bury the body they had to leave behind."
"S-sir… she was our adversary…"
"Was is the key word. There is no honor in such a victory as this. If you could call it as such. There is no honor in leaving a victim to be carrion if you can help it." He grumbled, armor clanking as he began to bend down to pick up the remains.
"Y-yes sir… I also felt the strength of her sacrifice." The solider murmured softly, releasing the grip on his sword to hurry over to his captain's side. Together, they erected their own grave for the one who had fallen from grace to save a people she owed nothing to.
A/N: I haven't seen where you can unlock the map for her yet—if you can—so this is my thoughts on what happened to Emm's body. Poor Emmeryn… that was a sad scene. ;~; I hope I spelled everything right…
Until we meet again~
