*Veet, Veet*

_ glanced down at her phone. *New message from Toni*

"This has been one of the most stressful work weeks I've had in a LONG time."

"I'm sorry to hear that babe. Just a few more hours." _ replied setting her phone back down on the couch.

"What could I do to cheer him up…" _ thought to herself.

"I know, I should make him his favorite dinner!" _ said jumping off the couch. _ checked the fridge to see if she had everything she would need to make the perfect meal. It seemed like Antonio had been hinted to _ that he would like to have this because there was an abundance of everything she needed.

"It was like I was destined to make this meal!" she said with glee.

_ got out all the ingredients and preheated the oven and boiled some water. She first started out by chopping all the vegetables and then put the noodles into the boiling water. Next she put the chicken in the oven and set the timer for 12 minutes.

Everything was going smoothly until _ started making the churros.

"Why are they so runny! And they don't smell like churros…" _ took a spoon from the drawer and tasted the brown goop. *spits*

"I put cayenne pepper in here instead of cinnamon!" _ yelled tears starting to well up in her eyes. _ grabbed the bowl and scrapped the runny mess in the trash.

*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP*

Every smoke alarm in the house was going off as _ glanced over at the stove. The water in the pot was boiling over and spilling slightly cooked noodles on the floor. The oven plumed with a thick black smoke that clogged _'s throat.

"SHIT!" _ ran over to the stove and turned it off trying not to burn herself. As soon as _ opened the oven door black smoke hit her in the face knocking her flat on her butt. Luckily the food wasn't on fire, but the chicken was turned to ash.

"I wouldn't even feed this to my cats." Antonio would be home any minute now and _ had nothing for him to eat. _ sat on the floor her pants soaking up the hot noodle water and began to cry.

Antonio walked in, the smell of burnt food was overwhelming. Black flog seemed to linger in the air and clog the lungs. Antonio walked toward the kitchen where he saw _ crying on the floor next to a pile of ashes and limp noodles.

"_ what happened?" She looked up into his tired eyes and began to cry harder.

"I wanted to make you yoru favorite dinner since you've had such a stressful week, but now I've gone and messed it up even more!" A smile tugged at Antonio's lips as he held his hand out to her. She took it trying not to slip on the wet floor and was pulled into his arms. Antonio lightly kissed _ on the forehead.

"Thank you." he whispered in her ear.

"Why are you thanking me I burnt all the food and nearly destroyed the kitchen." he smiled and wiped a bit of cayenne pepper off her face.

"It's the thought that counts babe. Why don't we order a pizza and clean up this kitchen while we wait for it." _ smiled

"That sounds like a good plan to me." she replied pecking him lightly on the lips.

Antonio and _ spent the res of their evening watch the sunset, sipping wine and eating pizza from Feliciano's restaurant.

THE END.
