~~Common Sense~~
Jack's POV Words: 245
"Maddie? MADDIE?" Where is it? I swear I saw it just yesterday, "Honey, I can't find the spot welder."
"She's at the bank Dad," Danny called as he came down the stairs, "Need help?"
"Danny! Could you lend your old man a hand? I can't find that blasted spot welder."
"Did you check its case?"
"It wouldn't be there, I was using it yesterday and I specifically remember putting it on the bench next to the wrenches, but now it's gone," I lifted up the desk slightly to make sure it didn't slip underneath.
"But you know Mom likes picking up the lab a little before you two close up," Danny supplied.
"Right Danny! Now where would your mother leave it?" Maybe by the control panel?
"Mom would put it back in its case."
"Oh. Right, so that's why you said…"
"Yeah," Danny had already made his way over to the tool box where we kept the case, "Found it."
"And that's why I'm glad you fell into your mom's half of the gene pool," Danny gave his eyes a slight roll along with a smile before he heads back upstairs. He doesn't know how much I mean it. Maddie was always the smarter of us, even though I was handier with the technology. I know I didn't… always make the best plans, Maddie did that. She had the common sense that didn't always work for me. I'm glad to see it works for Danny.
