Prompt: I didn't know

Klaus arched one last time and collapsed against Caroline. His breathing was heavy, but it was nothing compared to hers. Her throat was raw from her screams and moans and as a result, her breaths were harsh.

He managed to lift his head from her shoulder and reach a hand up to gently push a few stray hairs out of her face. "Are you alright?" He murmured.

"I didn't know," she gasped, "I didn't know it could be like that."

Klaus' heart broke at the confession of the beautiful woman underneath him. They'd only been together for a few weeks and this was their first time together, but Caroline had told him that she'd only been with two other men, and that neither of them had particularly cared about her. Clearly, Klaus thought to himself, they weren't fit to kiss the ground she walked if they hadn't treated this beautiful woman with the utmost respect and reverence.

"Oh, Sweetheart," he whispered, tracing the line of her jaw with two of his fingers. She still wouldn't open her eyes, so he pressed forward to place a soft kiss on her lips. "Love, I promise you, that is just the beginning." At that, she cracked one eye open, a beautiful, rosy blush creeping from her neck. Klaus pecked her lips once again. "You were meant to be cherished," he said against her skin, "and I intend to spend every moment of every day proving that to you."

Caroline opened her eyes fully now and searched his with a careful kind of hope that made Klaus sick. She had been mistreated and unappreciated, and his every intention was to never let that happen again.

"Caroline," his accented voice caressed her name as his hands caressed her body under the sheet, "I promise you will never go another day without knowing how precious you are."

Caroline said nothing, watching as he sank back into her body before she closed her eyes and smiled.

Of course, I own nothing. Leave prompts in the reviews!
