Set on the morning of John and Mary's Wedding.

Mycroft entered 221B and smiled as he saw Mrs Hudson, 'Good day Mrs Hudson! I must say, you look very nice!'

Mrs Hudson smiled, 'Thank you dear! You look very smart I must say! I just love a wedding!'

'Indeed, John deserves some happiness!' He looked around, 'Is my brother ready?'

'He should be!'

'Sherlock!' Mycroft called out.

No answer.

'SHERLOCK!' Mycroft sighed, 'Honestly! It's like trying to get him ready for school all over again!

Sherlock's disgruntled voice came from the bedroom, 'I'm coming! I'm coming!' The door opened and he slowly walked out. 'And I heard that! You never got me ready; our nanny, Mrs Joy did that!'

Mycroft gave him an appraised frown, 'Trust me she needed all the help she could get!' He then looked at his casual appearance; top of his shirt undone and his jacket open and shook his head, 'You're not going like that!'

'What's wrong with it?'

'You're going to a wedding Sherlock! Come here!'

'Oh Mycroft!' Sherlock tried to pull away as his brother straightened his collar.

'You have to smarten yourself up Sherlock!'

'I don't want to wear a tie! I feel as if I'm being strangled!'

'Don't tempt me!'

'Ha! Ha! Very funny!' Sherlock sighed, 'Anyway what's wrong with smart-casual?'

Mycroft sighed, 'It is not the appropriate attire for a wedding.'

'No I know that! The right attire is being dressed in mourning but that's not the point.'

Mycroft looked his brother straight in the eyes, 'Look, I know you're having a hard time dealing with this, but you're just going to have to make an effort, it's John and Mary's day today not yours!'

'You don't say!' Sherlock rolled his eyes and stood still as Mycroft straightened him up, 'Why am I doing this again?'

'Because he's your friend.'

'I hate weddings!'

'You've only been to one and you were four!'

'Which just proves what a traumatic experience they can be!'

Mycroft sighed, 'I'm not going to argue with you Sherlock and while we're on the subject, I've taken the liberty of a few things you mustn't do at a wedding, as this is a very social occasion, I know it's a foreign environment to you so I thought I'd prep you.'

'Right! You will not make any snide remarks regarding marriage, nor will do any deducing about the guests whatsoever, controversial or otherwise.'

Sherlock rolled his eyes, 'Yes big brother!'

'And you will smile pleasantly, congratulate John and Mary cordially and not make them feel like they've committed the most heinous crime on earth!'

'I bet they'll get divorced in a few years anyway.' Sherlock muttered.

'And you won't say that either!' Mycroft looked at his watch, 'Right! Come on, let's get going.'

'Mycroft…' Sherlock stumble slightly, 'I-I don't think I feel very well.'

Mycroft raised his eyebrows, 'You're going to try that stint with me? Seriously Sherlock?'

'Worth a try!' he muttered.

'Out now!'

'Ok! Ok! I'm going!' Sherlock mumbled.

With that, Mycroft sighed as he closed the door behind him, wondering, not for the first time, why he couldn't've been an only child.

There you are guys! Hope you liked it!
