I am so sorry I have been gone, but with school and extracurricular's every day, it's just too much to handle. I also want to spend some more time with family and friends. I go to a school which is an hour and a half away so there is a lot of traveling every day. But without me rambling on too much, I present to you a New Years one shot! Hope you enjoy!

Desire of the Soul

Jack pov

This was the first New Year that Kim wouldn't be with me. She went to go celebrate it with her family in New York. I don't feel like going to the Seaford Mall to celebrate it if Kim can't be with me. I mean, what's the point. I was on the couch flipping to random channels when my mom came in, "Jack, why aren't you ready to go. We have to leave in 10 minutes."

"I'm not going, Mom." I mutter.

"What? Ah, I know why honey. Kim's not gonna be there." She smirks that famous Brewer smirk that we all have. She is not like normal moms, and she is forcing me to confess to Kim.

My mom can't win this, "No Mom, it's not that, and to prove it's not that, I am going."

Why did I agree to this, I yelled at myself for getting tricked by my mother while going up the stairs.

This is going to be the worst New Year ever. When I was coming down the stairs all dressed, my mom was talking to someone, whispering and as she heard me, she hesitantly and abruptly ended the call. What is wrong with my mother? The doorbell rang, and I went to open the door and saw Jerry all dressed with Mika right by his side.

"Ready to swag?" he asks.

"Um, yeah, ready to, um swag."

"Dude what is up with you? It's New Years Eve for god sakes!"

"Sorry, I know, let's go." I try to put on a real smile, but it comes out half fake. Kim, what do you do to me?

Time Skip to Seaford Mall

As soon as I get there, all the girls start flirting at me, and to make the time pass, I flirt back. But I can't get my mind of Kim. None of these girls are like Kim, heck, they are not even close to being as perfect and beautiful Kim is. I really wanted to tell her how I fell for New Years. I guess I have to wait another year, which makes it 12 years in total. 12 years I have loved her and not been able to tell her that.

There is only 10 minutes left to new years and I am dreading this. Suddenly I get a text from Kim, saying:

Kim – Miss me? Just turn around ;)

I turn around and see the most beautiful girl. I run up to her and hug her so tightly, lifting her and turning her in the process. She laughs and says, "I couldn't celebrate New Year's without you, uh, I mean the gang, yeah, so I came from New York."

The fact that she came for me, means that she does have some, even a little feelings for me.

"I couldn't imagine spending New Years without you. I am so glad you are here!"

"Me too!" I say.

Suddenly the countdown begins,

"Ten…"

"I want to tell you something." I say.

"Nine…"

"I do too."

"Eight…"

"You are the most beautiful girl I have met,"

"Seven…"

"And you are the most caring guy I have met,"

"Six..."

"We are best friends, but…"

"Five…"

"But what?"

"Four…"

"I want us to be so much more, I love you Kim"

"Three…"

"I love you too Jack! I always have."

"Two…"

"Will you be my girlfriend?"

"One…" she nods her head, and that's enough for me.

No one pov

Jack cupped Kim's chin in his hand and lifted her face to his.

"Happy New Year!" everyone yelled in ecstasy.

Jack closed the remaining space and kissed Kim gently but passionately on the lips. Her eyes fluttered shut as the kiss deepened and Jack's arms snaked its way around her waist. Kim found herself wrapping her own arms around the back of his neck, kissing him back with as much passion.

They finally parted, and the voices of people all around the world could be heard, however, the two could only hear the sound of their beating hearts. They could only see each other and feel each other's love in the air. In that moment, they were the only ones left in the world; no one else seemed to matter.

Jack pov

I whispered, "Happy New Year, Kimmy," so quietly that Kim was the only one who could hear me.

She blushed, and bit her lip that made me just want to kiss her for the rest of the year. She smiled, "Happy New Year, Jackie,"

And as they say, what you do at midnight on New Years is what you do the entire year! And we definitely did have a lot of make out sessions.
