A/N: Shall we discuss the horrendously awful semester I just had? It was awful, just awful, but it is done, officially finished up on Friday, but I got called in to work today to watch the desk and didn't have anything else to do but twiddle my thumbs. I whipped this out for you guys, it is actually longer than the first two chapters combined. I'm trying to get back into the habit of writing. I want to write another one-shot, but I don't have an outline yet so I don't know yet.

As for SARR, it's not been abandoned, even though it's been a year. I had horrible writer's block, then this year happened, and, well, I'll see what I can do about the next chapter.

Chapter 3

Sitting at my desk waiting for the last hour of the workday tick by, I stared at the picture on my desktop background, a goofy smile etched on my face. It was a picture of my lovely fiancée and I taken at Christmas by my Father after finding out that we were getting married. He already knew of course since I asked him permission to marry Yumi. My brothers were crowded around us in the picture, laughing and clapping me on the back while my mother cooed at the ring on Yumi's finger. However, Yumi and I noticed none of this around us as we stared in each other's eyes.

I shook my head and refocused on the paperwork in front of me, trying to concentrate before I finish up for the weekend. Ever since I started my relationship with Yumi, it was harder for me to concentrate at work because I would end up thinking about the younger woman: her sultry expressions, her beautiful laugh, her passionate cries, her innocent smiles, and, what made me love her to begin with, her wonderful heart.

I was broken out of my thoughts again by my cell-phone ringing. "Hello?" I answered, not looking to see who was calling me.

"Hey Eriko! Long time no see!"

"Sei?" I replied, crinkling my face a little. I hadn't heard from the gangly blonde in over a year; actually I had heard from any of my old classmates in over a year, since I first started dating Yumi last March, so it was a little odd to hear from the blonde now after all this time. "It has been a while, what have you been up to?"

"Eh, you know, working. Youko and I are going steady now, she finally talked me into it of course."

I laughed, "That is a surprise, but why do I get the feeling that you were the one that had to talk her into it."

The other woman laughed, "You never miss a beat do you Eriko. Listen, I stopped by your place a few days ago, but you weren't living there anymore. Finally got yourself some new digs?"

Something in me told me not to tell Sei that I was engaged to a woman, and that woman just happened to be Yumi. The younger woman told me that she had a falling out with our old friends as well as her family years ago, but I never got the complete story as to what happened. "Oh no," I answered, "I moved in with my fiancée last fall actually."

"Whew, fiancé huh, when did that happen?"

"A few months ago," I replied honestly, picturing my Yumi with the engagement ring I designed for her on her hand, "We started seeing each other over a year ago and one thing led to another…"

"Good going girl, at least most of us will be in a relationship of some sort then," Sei replied laughing, "Anyway, the reason I stopped by your place is because I wanted to invite you to a reunion of sorts."

"A reunion of sorts?"

"Yeah, a lot of us from the Yamayurikai realized that we haven't seen everybody in a while so we all decided a little get together was in order. I decided to call and invite you, everyone is coming: me, Youko, Rei, Sachiko, Shimako, Yoshino-chan, Noriko-chan, Touko-chan, Kanako-chan, Yuuki-san, Kashiwagi, and some of the rest of the guys from Hanadera."

"What about Yumi… chan?" I asked, not used to adding 'chan' to the end of my lover's name. I noticed that Sei left her off of the list and I was curious as to why.

"Yumi-chan, pfft," I heard Sei scoff, "No one really wants to be around a drunken cheater, you know that she and Shimako used to date years ago before Yumi-chan cheated on her. They broke up and apparently she dropped out of college to spend all of her time in a bar. No one has really heard from her since, so none of us would really know how to contact her even if we did want to invite her. Just talking about her still upsets poor Shimako."

A great rage filled my entire being and I was never more grateful for seeing my boss in the doorway because if he wasn't there, I would have said something I might regret at a later point to Sei. "Look Sei, I have to go, I'm in the middle of something," I said quickly, "I'll think about the reunion and call you back at some point."

"Alright, that's cool…" she got out before I hung up the phone.

"Sorry about that Ms. Torii," my boss said. Although he had lived here for several years, my boss was raised in America so still had difficulty with Japanese customs.

"It's okay Kagami-kun," I answered, "What can I do for you?"

"Just wondering if you and your delightful fiancée are still coming over for dinner tomorrow?" He asked, "My wife still wants to sweet talk some of her recipes out of her. You know her grill is one of my wife's favorite places to eat."

"And your favorite bar," I replied with a smile.

Kagami-kun laughed, "Well, who doesn't love half-priced drinks?"

I laughed, "My father and brothers certainly do."

"My kind of men," Kagami-kun chuckled.

"Indeed, and Yumi and I will be happy to be at your house for dinner tomorrow night."

He nodded and bowed a little, "Well then, I'll see you two tomorrow then. Have a good evening Ms. Torii."

"You too Kagami-kun," I said as he walked out of my office. Since the boss was going home, I decided that it was okay for me to go home as well, and I couldn't really concentrate on my project because of that phone call from Sei. I wondered what Yumi would say about this reunion and the reason why her family and friends ditched her.

Twenty minutes later, I walked through the front door of Yumi's bar. "Hey Sakura," I greeted the young woman behind the bar who was both manager and bar tender when Yumi wasn't available, which was frequently now with the increase of paperwork Yumi had to do with the growth in business that was caused by the addition of the restaurant portion to the bar. Much like her name, Sakura had bubble gum pink hair, which she dyed to match her bright and bubbly personality. Yumi hired her a month after we started dating, so we became good friends as my fiancée trained her to tend bar.

"Hey girl," Sakura greeted as I sat down at the bar, "Long day?"

I groaned in response rubbing my temples. I gave up my headband a few months after Yumi and I got together. With how often Yumi and I end up caught in the throes of passion, it just made things easier to stop wearing it so it wouldn't pull on my hair, Yumi already did that enough. "It wasn't long as much as annoying right towards the end," I looked back up at the younger woman, "I got a call from one of my old school friends just before leaving work today."

Sakura nodded absentmindedly before her head popped up in shock. "Wait, one of those bitches that turned their backs on boss lady?" She asked, eyes flashing dangerously.

"Yup," I replied, downing the shot of vodka that Sakura placed in front of me. The younger woman knew my drinking habits by now even though I only stopped in the bar for a drink a few times a week. Usually, I would just have a glass of wine, but on especially grueling days, harder liquid was needed before the wine.

"Which one was it?" She asked, pouring me my glass of wine.

"Satou Sei," I replied, sipping on the red liquid slowly.

"Which one is that?"

"She was really close to Yumi, but she's Shimako's Onee-sama so she took her side in the dispute, they all did," I replied, "I still don't completely understand what went down with all of that."

"She didn't tell you?"

"I got the summary, and I got a little bit more from Sei's phone call, but I haven't exactly gotten the play by play," I said, picking up my wine. I glanced at Sakura over the rim of my glass and took in her fidgety expression. "She told you!" I exclaimed, setting my drink down.

Sakura held her hands up hastily as if I was going to attack her, "Hey, hey, calm down. I know you've known boss lady longer than I have, even though I met her a few months before she hired me. I showed up in this bar after having gone through a similar situation that she did. Bossy lady, Yumi, is my best friend, sometimes it's easier to tell your best friend things than your lover," Sakura explain, placing her hands on mine, "You understand?" Just then the door opened and a large group of businessmen walked in and ordered drinks, drawing Sakura's attention away from me.

I sat at the bar finishing my glass of wine, thinking about what Sakura said, realizing she was right. Some things are easier to tell a best friend than a lover. I drained my glass and left out the back, heading up the apartment stairs. I found Yumi crossed-legged on the floor surrounding by different papers and invoices dealing with the bar, her hair piled up in a messy bun on top of her head. I got a flash of the future, imagining her sitting in much the same location with a few elegant wrinkles and a pair of reading glasses perched on the end of her nose. The image was really, really hot.

"Hey baby," I greeted Yumi, sprawling out on the couch behind her.

"Hey Sugar," she replied, turning towards me, "Remind me again why I decided to expand the bar."

"Increase in business and employees, more vacation time with your sinfully hot lover, making your business more popular," I started listing off, "Putting some of those cooking and business classes you took in college to good use."

"I did really good in those cooking classes," Yumi smiled, "Business, not so much, but I'm learning."

"Mhm, it's always a learning experience," I replied, "Trust me, I know."

Yumi glanced at me again and seemed to stare deeply in my eyes. "What's wrong?" She asked, standing up and moving towards me, brushing the hair out of my face.

"I got an interesting phone call from someone today," I said reluctantly after a few moments.

"From who?" Yumi asked, seating herself in my lap.

"Sei," Yumi murmured, furrowing her brow, "Satou Sei?"

"Yup," I said, "She told me something interesting…"

"Oh and what is that?" I proceeded to tell Yumi word for word what Sei told me earlier and instead of being mad like I thought she would be, she let out a chuckle. "I always wondered what she said to them," Yumi chuckled, amusement evident in her tone.

"Aren't you upset?"

Yumi shrugged, "Not really. Shimako doesn't have that kind of power over me anymore, not since I have you. All they are is words, and if my friends choose to believe Shimako over me, well, then they weren't really friends were they? And as for my family, well, they gave up on me, choosing to let me suffer instead of trying to help me. They aren't really worth my time now."

"No I suppose not," I replied thoughtfully.

"Besides, I like your family a lot better," she continued, "I've always wanted an older brother, and your mother has way more fashion sense than my mother. Even though I didn't really start to care about what I was wearing until after the fallout, I like to think that I would have gotten there eventually." Her fingers curled in my hair, scratching at my scalp with her fingernails.

"Mhm," I purred, "For what it's worth I love who you are now." I craned my head up and kissed her softly. When we parted, Yumi had a thoughtful look on her face.

"I wonder why…" She murmured, her gaze distant.

"Why what?"

"Why the sudden pressing need for this reunion," she replied.

"Sei said that it was because we haven't seen everyone in such a long time," I answered, unsure of where this conversation was going.

Yumi shook her head, "No, something else is going on, something fun…" Her voice trailed off, and she shot me a wicked smile, "How would you like to have a little fun with them at this so called 'reunion?'"

I quirked my eyebrow at her, intrigued, "What do you have in mind?"

"I'm not invited remember," Yumi said, "But why don't you call Sei-san back and say you'll come if you can bring your fiancée."

I smiled wickedly, "I like the way you think…"

"So what is the plan again?" I called to my fiancée who was still in the bathroom.

"There really isn't a plan, you go ahead without me, find out what's really going on with this 'reunion,' and then I party crash later on," she returned when she walked into the room, naked, "It's part of the fun if we don't show up together remember? And besides, two of my technical exes are going to be there, so I have to dress to impress and that takes a while. Plus I want to look extra sexy for my Sugar."

"It's gonna be pretty hard to beat the view I have right now baby," I said, running a hand down from her breast to her ass, squeezing it once my hand reached its destination.

"Now now, none of that, save it for later," Yumi said, shooing me out of the room. "You go on and meet them, I'll be along in a little bit."

I gave her nude body one last lingering look before disappearing out into the autumn air. The restaurant that we were all meeting at was coincidently just a few blocks down from Yumi's place so I was able to walk there. The manager was an old friend of Yumi's since they both worked at the bar under the previous owner. She left in order to work more daytime hours instead of mainly night hours, but she and Yumi stayed good friends. When Yumi and I started dating, many of her friends became my friends, and I worked hard to earn it. Most of them knew the basics of what she went through previously, so I was given hell at first and treated with suspicion. Eventually though, much like Sakura, Yumi's other friends accepted me as well.

"Hey Mia," I greeted the other woman when I walked into the restaurant. The younger woman had dark brown hair with blonde highlights that softened her angular features and large black eyes.

"Eriko!" She walked around the front desk to greet me with a warm hug. Once she released me, Mia looked me up and down. "You and Yumi have been switching clothes again haven't you?" I was wearing a longer pair of Yumi's skin-tight dark wash jeans paired with a pair of her ankle boots and one of her work shirts and a tank top. The clothes hugged my form in the way that only Yumi's clothes could, showcasing my breasts and hips wonderfully. There wasn't an ulterior motive to wearing her clothes other than I didn't feel like wearing any of my nice business suits and I didn't want to wear a dress.

I shrugged, "Eh, you know that she and I like to change it up every now and then, plus she has way better clothes than I do. Don't you think this outfit is nice?"

Mia laughed, "One things for sure, I've never seen anyone fill the back of a pair of skinny jeans like Yumi can, or anything really, front, back, all of it."

"Hey now, that's my future wife you're lusting after," I said, scolding the other woman.

She snorted, "I still got eyes don't I? And speaking of which, you look mighty fine in Yumi's clothes too." I rolled my eyes at the other woman's antics. Mia was a known flirt; harmless enough until she set her eyes on an unattached person, then she was on the hunt. "Anyway, why are ya here? Setting up a date for your ladylove?"

I smiled mischievously, "Naw, meeting some old friends here. Yumi's going to be joining me later, if you know what I mean."

"Wait, them, as in them?" Mia asked.

"Yup, they should be in one of your private rooms."

A disgusted look crossed Mia's face, "How did I miss that?"

"It's okay," I answered quickly, "Yumi and I are going to have a little fun with them, find out the reason for this gathering, then annoy the crap out of them."

Mia laughed, "That sounds like something you two would do, it's interesting and fits with your personalities. What can I do to help?"

I looked down at my phone to check the time, then back out the door. "Yumi should be coming soon, so whatever she suggests is fine, but anyway, I need to get back to the party."

"Which group?"

"The 'Satou' party."

"They're in the back, I'll wait up here for Yumi and then I'm totally coming back to watch the show, might even run down to the bar and grab Sakura."

I shook my head, "You guys are crazy."

Walking to the backroom, I entered and was immediately accosted by a tall blonde. "Eriko!" Sei yelled, coming over to clap me on the shoulder. "Glad you could make it and man do you look good. Your fashion sense has certainly changed since the last time we saw ya. Hey everyone, Eriko's here!"

"We can see that Sei," Youko chided, coming over to hug me, "Where is this fiancé you told Sei about? You said he was coming right?"

"Oh, they'll be along shortly," I replied, waving off an answer. I looked around the room and everyone Sei said would be here was here, including some that I didn't expect. Sei and Youko sat next to each other across from me, facing the door. Touko and Kanako sat next to me, and Yoshino and Yuuki sat next to them. Rei and Sachiko were seated next to Youko and further down from them was Kashiwagi who had his arm laying across a feminine looking boy's shoulders and some of the other guys from Hanadera as well as Yoshino's petite soeur, Nana, made up the other end of the table. The unexpected parties were Yuuki's parents, Yoshino parents and Rei's parents, as well as a few regal looking older couples that could only be Sachiko, Suguru and Touko's families. They were seated at a separate table, although still close enough to enjoy conversation. As I glanced around at my old friends, I thought it was interesting that while Yumi, and in turn, I had changed a lot since our years at Lillian, our old friends still looked the same.

"Come come, sit down," Sei pulled me over to the table and sat me at the end with an empty chair next to me.

"So, what has everyone been up to?" I asked. Sei opened her mouth to answer, but I cut her off, "Besides Sei of course, I got the run down of her life on the phone. And what's the reason for this sudden gathering, and the inclusion of the, eh, extra family members?"

"Oh, that's because of Yuuki and I," Yoshino said, "That's why I insisted we call you. Yuuki and I, well, we're engaged." She girl squealed, flashing her engagement ring.

A surprised look crossed my face, and while the rest of the occupants of the table were cooing over Yoshino's ring, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and sent Yumi a quick text about what the occasion was and who was here. I thought she would find her entire family being here rather amusing.

"That's wonderful Yoshino-chan," I said to her, smiling, "What has everyone else been up to?"

"Touko-chan and Kanako-chan are dating," Yoshino supplied with a teasing grin towards the younger girls, "As well as Noriko-chan and Shimako-san."

"And of course Sachiko and Rei here are having an affair while Kashiwagi seduces many feminine looking men and boys alike," Sei burst out.

I blinked, "Well that was unexpected, but not totally out of the realm of possibility." I reached out towards the glass of water in front of me and Sachiko gasped.

"Where is your ring Eriko-sama?" Sachiko asked, noticing the lack of ring on my finger, "You are engaged aren't you?"

I looked down at my left hand and rubbed it. "Yes I'm engaged," I smiled wistfully, thinking of the ring that was resting on Yumi's hand, "And no, I don't have a ring, not yet." It wasn't a lie, I will be getting a ring, when Yumi and I get married.

Yoshino snorted, "That's stupid, what kind of guy doesn't give you a ring when he proposes. He better be getting you a good one."

I was about to say something when the door behind me opened. "Wow," Sei said, her mouth dropping open. I looked around at the other people at the table and at the older adults at the other table and saw their mouths resembled Sei's as well, gaping open. I turned around and gaped as well. My fiancée strutted, or rather, swayed in through the door, her curves showcased deliciously in a low cut black dress that stopped mid thigh. A pair of high-heeled gladiator style stilettos adorned her feet with straps that wrapped halfway up her calf. Her long chestnut colored hair flowed down her back and around her face in beautiful waves that I desperately wanted to bury my hands into. I wiped a bit of drool off the side of my mouth and stood to greet her. "Hey Sugar," she purred, sidling up to me, gluing her lips to mine in a passionate kiss.

When we separated, I noticed our old friends staring at us with gob smacked expressions and more than a few looks of lust shot towards Yumi, primarily in Sachiko and Shimako's eyes. "Everyone, this is my fiancée," I said, lifting Yumi's left hand to show off her ring, "Baby, I'm sure you remember everyone."

"Yes I certainly do," Yumi drawled out, a smirk present on her face as she realized that nobody recognized who she was.

Sei was the first to shake herself out of her stupor. "Wow, nice going Eriko," she whistled, "Your girl has a killer body!" Youko smacked her girlfriend on the back of the head.

"It appears that you know us," Youko said, turning towards Yumi, "But we don't know you. I believe I can speak for all of us that we would surely remember someone like you."

Yumi just smirked at Youko, "You would think you would recognize your own granddaughter, eh Youko-sama."

A confused look crossed all of their faces before Sei gasped and shot a glare at my fiancée. "Oh no way," she hissed, "Fukazawa Yumi! What are you doing here?!"

I snorted, "Um, she was invited, you did tell me that I could invite my fiancée, remember?" I surreptitiously glanced over at Sachiko and Shimako and they didn't seem to be able to take their eyes off of my lover.

"I didn't know that you were engaged to this drunken slut!" Sei raged. I looked at my old friend, surprised by the level of hostility present in her voice when I saw something flash in her eyes. Looks like someone is lusting after my fiancée…

"That type of language is uncalled for Sei-sama," Yumi replied, amusement dancing in her eyes.

"Onee-sama," Shimako whispered out in what sounded like a scolding, semi-hurt voice, but I could detect levels of fear and lust in it as well. And looks like someone else if afraid her lying ass will be discovered, I smirked.

I decided to ignore the people for a moment and turned back to my lover. "You look delectable darling, is this new?" I asked, tracing the bust line of her dress.

""Yup," she said, popping the 'p,' "I bought it when I went shopping with Mom last week. I look hot yes?"

A scoff came from the other side of the room where the older adults were. "I didn't go shopping with you," a woman I easily identified as Yumi's mother said, "I haven't seen you in years."

"I didn't say anything about you now did I Miki-san," Yumi shot back, ice in her voice, "I was talking about my mother, or more accurately, my soon to be mother-in-law, Eriko's mother. When Eriko and I started dating, her family took me in, practically adopted me, were there for me unlike you, my own family."

"What did you expect?" Her father roared, "You dropped out of college, started spending all of your time in a bar, torn up by your own choices about what you did to poor Shimako-chan here." Yumi and I turned our gaze towards Shimako and she wilted slightly at the look in our eyes, beads of sweat forming on her brow.

"Ah yes," Yumi said, "What I did to Shimako…" I released Yumi's hand and she sauntered over towards the two younger white roses. "What exactly did I do to you Shimako?" She asked, staring into the western looking girl's eyes.

"Yumi," Shimako whispered, "Please, don't…"

"Why don't you tell them Shimako?" Yumi continud as if she hadn't heard her, "Why don't you tell the truth now about what I 'did' to you…"

The other girl simply shook, tears welling in her eyes. "I can't, please don't make me," she pleaded.

"Leave her alone Yumi," Yoshino ordered.

Yumi ignored them turning instead to Noriko. "What about you Noriko-san, why don't you tell them what I did to Shimako?" Yumi asked, a smirk still etched on her face.

The younger girl couldn't hold Yumi's gaze and turned her head away, shame present on her face. "If neither of you are going to say anything, I'm going to finally get my peace," my fiancée said finally, returning to my side, and taking my hand, giving it a squeeze. "What I did," she continued, turning her gaze back to Shimako, "Was get into a relationship with you. I trusted you, I loved you, and what do I find on our one year anniversary? You fucking Noriko in our bed, that you had been fucking her behind my back for nearly 6 months."

"Liar!" The word tore from Sei's throat as the rest of the occupants in the room gasped, "Shimako wouldn't do that." The older girl turned toward the younger and looked at her, "Shimako, she's lying right…"

Shimako burst out in tears while Noriko looked down in shame. "I'm so sorry," Shimako croaked out in between tears, shaking her head back and forth, "I'm so, so sorry."

The room when quiet as the other occupants simply stared at the sobbing Shimako and the guilty looking Noriko. Yumi and I were the only ones in the room not looking at the two, instead choosing to look at each other. My fiancée looked like a large weight had been lifted off her shoulders. "I love you," I murmured softly, tucking away an errant strand of hair from her face.

"I love you too," Yumi replied, giving me a soft smile.

"How could you do that to Yumi-chan?" Sei yelled, bringing our attention back to the other occupants of the room, "And how you could lie to us? All these years we've thought the worst of Yumi, and you let us continue to believe it."

"I didn't want any of you to hate me," Shimako murmured pitifully, "Yumi never had problems making friends, but you guys are the only ones that I have."

"She says that like it's my fault," Yumi whispered to me and I stifled back a smile as we continued to observe the melt down from Yumi's revelation.

"So what, you lied to us all this time to keep us as your friends?" Yoshino sputtered out in anger.

"Yes!" Shimako yelled out, apparently shocking everyone. Yumi had told me that the normally quiet girl had a tough side when provoked; I guess that she reached her limited in the conversation. "Yes, I lied, but it doesn't really matter, because she," Shimako said, pointing to Yumi, "Is still a failure, I mean, she never finished college and spends all of her time in a bar!"

"Because we all abandoned her," Touko replied sadly.

"Oh Yumi-chan," Yumi's mother whispered sadly, staring at Yumi with tears in her eyes, "We are so sorry."

My delightful fiancée just shrugged, "It all worked out in the end, I wouldn't be where I am now if things didn't happen the way they did, and I'm rather happy where I am."

"How can you be happy being unsuccessful?" Yumi's father asked.

My fiancée just quirked her brow, "What makes you think I'm unsuccessful?"

Yuuki scoffed, "Come on Yumi, you never finished college, you buried yourself in a bar, what part of that screams successful?"

"Whoa there," Mia's voice came from behind us. She and Sakura burst into the room and stood next to us, "Where are you getting your information from? Yumi is plenty successful and I should know, I'm her best friend."

"Yeah, boss lady is one of the coolest and most successful people I know," Sakura chipped in before turning to Mia, "And who says you're her best friend, I'm clearly her best friend."

"You're her employee, you can't be her best friend, and besides, I've known her longer," Mia retorted.

"That's only because you worked together for a while before leaving to take the Manager's job here."

"I just didn't like late nights in the bar, I mean it's only open lunch through dinner."

"I love your friends," I whispered to Yumi as Sakura and Mia continued to bicker in front of a gaping audience.

"Well I did meet them in a bar," she replied.

"Excuse me but what is going on?!" Yoshino yelled, her face growing red with anger.

"Sorry, forgot you guys were here," Yumi replied, turning back to the group, "The bar that you accuse me of burying myself in, well I own it, so of course I would spend all of my time there. And it isn't just a bar, it is also a restaurant now that I've expanded into more space. We specialize mainly in Western style food, things like that."

"Boss lady has some great recipes," Sakura inserted, "And most of the costumers that we have are returning costumers, mostly business men and such."

"That probably has more to do with Yumi not wearing a bra and most occasions," I said, running a hand over my fiancée's delectable body. I cast a glance over at our old friends, and saw an increasing amount of lust in Sei, Sachiko and Shimako's eyes.

"I've never heard you complaining," Yumi smirked, also observing the lust present in 3 generations of Roses. She turned towards our two friends that burst in and quirked her eyebrow at Sakura. "Shouldn't you be working?"

"Ah, right," Sakura blushed, "I'm gonna get back to that. Text me if ya need me boss lady." And with that, Sakura disappeared back out of the door.

"And what about you?" Yumi asked, turning to the other intruding.

"Oh fine," Mia sighed, turning to leave, "Oh and don't forget Yumi, Sakura and I are planning on going wedding dress shopping with you next weekend, and no Eriko, you are not invited."

"You guys are no fun," I replied.

"You'll get to see her in her dress on your wedding day and not before," Sakura replied before she and Mia linked arms and flounced out of the room.

Yumi giggled and turned towards me, kissing me lightly on the cheek. "Don't pout Eriko, I think Mom was going to take you out dress shopping next week anyway. Unless you plan to take up your Dad's offer for a tux?"

"We'll see Baby, after all, I am wearing the pants in this relationship."

The brunette just sent a smirk towards me that turned my insides a quivering mess. "Well," she purred, "I do believe those are my pants you're wearing."

A cough broke us out of our lust induced haze, and I turned back to the other occupants in the room. Sei, Sachiko and Shimako's eyes were glazed over while I saw that Yoshino was the one who coughed.

"I hate to break up this sexual tension you two have," Yoshino said, "but I think I speak for everyone here, well, most everyone when I say this: I'm sorry Yumi-san, I'm sorry for not believing you and not being a better friend to you."

"We're sorry too Yumi-chan," Miki-san said, her father nodding as well.

I looked over at my fiancée who sent me a quick eye roll before turning back to our old friends and her family. "I understand you guys are sorry and I forgive you, but that doesn't mean I'm letting you back into my life."

This announcement caused the people in the room to sputter and protest before Yumi glared at them and they quieted down. "None of you believed me, picking Shimako over me. Real friends don't take sides in these kinds of issues," the brunette said before turning her ire towards her family, "I was a wreck after what happened, and even before it happened, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. Instead of supporting me and helping me, you wrote me off as a lost cause. Family doesn't do that to each other. We may be friends again in the future, but it'll never be how it was."

"Same goes for me," I replied, shocking the room, "Although I wasn't there for what happened, I won't be able to forget what you all did to her. While I cherished our friendships in high school, the friends I have now are so much more meaningful."

"Yumi reached over and laced our fingers, tugging lightly on my hand. "C'mon," she said, "Let's get out of here. Mia told me that she has our usual table set up for us in the back."

I gave one last look around the room. Yumi's mother was crying lightly, while her father didn't appear in much better shape. The other parents in the room looked uncomfortable because they too believed the worst about Yumi. Yuuki and Yoshino looked like they'd been slapped in the face and didn't know whether to be angry or upset. Touko was hiding tears behind her actress veneer but a few arrant droplets escaped her eyes. Kanako looked miserable as well but hid it by trying to comfort her girlfriend. Youko looked like she ate an entire lemon, and the extremely delicate Rei was dabbing at the tear tracks on her face with a handkerchief. The last four in the room were the ones amused me the most though. I looked at Sei, one who wished she had Yumi but never did, Sachiko and Shimako who had her but through her away, and finally Noriko. When I starred at the last girl, I saw a sense of smugness flash in her eyes for a brief moment, followed by irritation before her features schooled. I didn't have any time to analyze those emotions before Yumi pulled me out of the room.

I stared at Yumi in bemusement as she giggled when I told her what I had seen in Noriko eyes before me left. We were sitting at our regular table in the back near the kitchens. "What's so funny?" I asked.

"Oh nothing," she answered, stifling the giggles, "I just finally figured something out is all."

"When I caught Shimako and Noriko together," she started, "I saw something in Noriko's eyes that confused me until just now. I saw a look of triumph. Shimako looked devastated but Noriko looked pleased that I had found them, and now it all fell into place."

She must've seen the confused look on my face because she quickly continued. "She set the whole thing up," Yumi explained, "Noriko did. She wanted me to find them together."

"What purpose would she have for doing this?" I asked, slightly intrigued at the deviousness of the younger girl. She didn't seem the type.

"I don't know if you know this, but Shimako told me when we were together that she always watched me, even when she was with Noriko she wanted me. I imagine this irritated and infuriated her beyond measure, especially when a few months after breaking up with her, Shimako and I got together."

"Interesting, how do you think Noriko got her to start fucking her again?" I asked.

Yumi rolled her eyes, "Who knows really, but she succeeding in her goal to split Shimako and I apart permanently."

"Does this bother you?" I hated the insecurity that crept into my voice.

My chestnut haired lover just smiled and took my hand, "Not at all. While it annoys me how vindictive that girl is, at the end of the day, I get to go home with you and get to make love to you all night long."

A bolt of electricity seemed to shoot down my spine and settle directly in the center of my being. "Who's to say we have to wait until night time?" I croaked out, "Check please!"

After the two of us bid Mia farewell, we headed back to our apartment. On the way out, we ran into the others again, their pouting and accusing eyes staring at us, pleading with us. We paid them no mind, and only had eyes for each other. As we stepped in the apartment, it felt like we truly brushed off the past that had hung like a cloud over our relationship.

We lay pressed together that night, much like other nights in a tangle of sweat, sex and skin. "I can't wait until we get married," Yumi sighed, her breath tickling my breast.

"I can't wait to see you in and out of your wedding dress," I commented, squeezing her ass.

"You're impossible sometimes," she sighed, sitting up to straddle my hips.

"But that's why you love me," I returned, my eyes twinkling mischievously as my hands settled on her hips.

"That I do Eriko, that I do."

A/N: And there you go. I almost wanted to go all the way to the wedding, but decided not to. How the story continues is up to you guys. I know some people will want her to make up with her family and friends, and some won't, so you guys can continue it in your own minds. Who would've thought that Noriko was the villain in this story? I didn't know until the end, trust me, I gasped, it was a shocker.

Until the next story guys!
